my place almost done up already? no la, i think only 40% done the most. the mini living room, feature wall, etc still haven't finalise. toilet accesories also not fully installed yet. even kitchen will be 90% installed first in my opinion. cos Loyd told us the last 10% is to enhance the asethetic wise, if we don't want to do also can. so my place confirm not 'almost done up'. today bz day at work.

actual day itself is a very busy day. hopefully u have enough ppl to help out or a wedding planner to see to everything. do enjoy every single moment of it, cos it will be over before u know it. i really think wedding cum reno is very very taxing. so do take gd care of urself during this period. hopefully my carpentry will come in soon. do upload pics when urs are constructed k. hee.

don't worry. no matter what colors our walls or furnitures are, everyone need to do the cleaning chores. . jurong is very very dusty, so i don't think u will be in a worse scenario than me. hee. so let's us buck up for our own family. hopefully crystals light would turn out well. if only ceiling can be higher...

pinkpetter, why u change your contractor to Ah XXXX. becos of the issue he is causing many of our reno mates? hee. i think green walls will be nice. but will be some time to go before the fake green walls will be replaced by real ones. will work on it once my reservist in jan is over. i think such works also express the personality of the owners. hee. yah, when i have kids in the future, i hope they love nature (and disneylands of cos). heehee. i hope the sofa will turn up well. haven't choose the material yet. i see that u went hk in your blog, any disneyland trip? heehee.

green wall.. let me quote something from home n decor. "green walls provide a novel and aesthetically pleasing solution for those who lack of floor space. mix and match plants of different colours and textures to create a living work of art." actually, my ID showed me his idea I think abt 5 or 6 wks ago. i was reading up on this during my free time before both of us decided on it now. hee. due to our new layout, we actually created a few additional walls. and we also painting our round false ceiling with the mosaic grey to bring out the shine of the crystal lights. that why we have quite a few paint colors. i think some of our reno mates are choosing to paint even more colors. white is an excellent color! ur home will look bright and spacious. i think it doesn't matter how many colors u have, but more of whether this is what u prefer and like. really, just a matter of preference.

no no. hee. my wedding was last yr. i should have typed "was" instead of "is". me bad. hee. our ballroom was decorated in fuschia pink and black. are u decorating it in pink and black? if so, i would think it is not advisable to wear pink and black, unless u want to blend in with the surrounding rather than stand out among the crowds being the bride and the star of the day. some wedding decor pics. even our wedding cake and wedding favours (mini cakes) are in light shade of pink, fuschia pink flowers and black satin ribbon. hee. solemnisation venue was also decorated with bright pink flowers. argh... time really flies. all these are really sweet memories for me. so amrasenelya, have a wonderful time and enjoy every single second of your wedding. back to reno, quite a bit are done already. but still many things not done yet.

I presume u will go spot check again on the tenant today (sun)? U really like the light!! I think if u can find in kl, should be cheaper. If u are going to china anytime soon, might as well take a trip to guangzhou to buy. So many nice designs and cheap. I also bought non-inverter, cos I don't think I will change my habit and switch on the air con every nite at my new home. So the savings part might not benefit me that much. And u hor, u reno when u haven't got the money all prepare. Aiyo, I think I don't dare to start reno if I were u. Hee. Anyway, shopping for home fittings really a big headache! Lollipop is quite striking but is actually consider a darker color. Fuschia pink is the main color for our wedding. Black is the other. So we want to use this paint color for our first home. We will be using this color for a big area. Hehe.

One final pic for today: Sneak preview of the round false ceiling: As usual, abit to see only for now. Hee. Painters started to apply sealent today. Next wk, first round of painting will be done. Skirting work to be completed too. Lights will be installed. Chemical wash will be done also.

Ok ok. Something more to show today. As what most enviromentalists predicted, despite after so many rounds of discussion, there is no concrete plan to fight climate changes. To show our support to fight climate changes and for our future generations, my home will have this: We will be constructing my mini 'garden' walls with climbing plants! It will be an ambitious project (at least we feel so) to get this successful! ID suggested this and we were quite skeptical abt it initially. But I believe it is worth to try for a better cause! My mum is gd with plants too! So she can help. And plants help to bring down the temperature of any living space. ID wanted to construct water pipe to this area but we think if the water pipe bursts in the future, my feature wall or false ceiling will be gone case liao. So most probably will use conventional method for irrigation. But it will be a medium term project for us. So for now.... we will use fake plants! . Once the real ones are ready, will replace the fake with the real ones. And oh, ID still don't know we accepted his suggestion. Hee. We told ID wanted to put plants at this area. And so he suggested why not do something more ambitious and different. We see climbing plants on these green-label buildings. So why not. ID also feel covered walls are too common. The amount of green will be very pleasing and suit what we are going for. From the pic, I also highlighted something else. There is suppose to be slight kerb constructed for the 3 glass panels which will separate the 2 areas. But haven't rectify yet.
