Rondy, u are rite la. There are many things that looks gd but not practical. Funcational and aesthetic purpose are 2 different things. But coffee table should have ba, at least a small one. Can put cup or something in case want to dine in front of the tv. Haha.

Are they water-resistant? Despite being a hard worker (I think I am, ha), I wanted to do something similar previously but the maintenance is not something I can accept. Imagine your fallen hairs 'stuck' btw the wood tiles. But aesthetically, I think it looks not bad.

On mon which is the 2nd nite we stayed in, water was found leaking from my mixer. Plumber coming down to check today. I am still missing stuffs like bedside tables (which is impt to us) but don't want to delay from moving in.

no la, June was 'bz' with world cup. July was bz with shifting during the weekends and getting the house ready for shift in. Finally shifted in last Sat but some stuffs not ready. Hee.

Hi Vermillion, Nice. I love classic and victorian style. You got your stuff from The Interior Library? I think if I have gone ahead with victorian style, I would give it a twist by painting the items in metallic+shimmer+gold to give it a different look. But classic white is timeless. Hi TimTim, You can get beautiful customised frames in Sg if you know where to go to. What Vermillion got are prettty standard frames which you can get in Sg.

The biggest one selling at Howard Storage costs like S$50+ which is really ex. I think I got it at like S$20+. A set of 10 containers in different sizes cost US$80+. Shopping while travelling or online shopping is the best if in doubt. Hee.

I bought mine from overseas, much cheaper. Even if u buy from Amazon including shipping, I believe it is still cheaper than buying from Howard.

I am not superstitous. But will try to shift in soon. Still haven't customise mirror for the wall, buy a tv for the mickey mouse console, etc. And carpet from Boconcept will only arrives in August and other stuff. Still comtemplating what should I do to block out the light in the round living hall. I think I don't like wooden blinds after having them installed in the rooms. Most importantly, customised bed not deliver yet. No place to sleep! But mattress from Serta delivered last wk. Ha. Anyway, after shifting in, will have all these issues iron out. Btw, anyone know where I can find a large range of bath accessories (eg. lotion pump, tissue cover, toothbrush holder, jar. tumbler) in Singapore? Preferably those in a set, hotel/luxury series or others. Only saw a few designs at IwannaGohome though. Hopefully don't have to resort to buying online again. Recently went to Howard Storage in Singapore. The oxo containers are selling at such a high price here.

Hi Summerflowers, Check out sofaandothers.com. I customised my sofas and bedframe (just recently) with them. The workmanship is pretty gd for the sofa so went back to them to customise the bedframe. They do dining chairs too. Hope this helps.

Haha, no la, very bz with work, no time for shopping the past few wks as weekends are burnt. Only bought/order some stuffs over the last weekend like rug, side lamps, clock, mirror and kitchen stuffs (eg. oxo containers, knife, chopsticks, pan, rice cooker). Did cleaning too - black laminate is VERY HARD to clean!

In a legal point of view, Henry has to pay up if the following points are fulfilled: 1. Official receipt given to Daydream with ID Note letterhead/ receipt serial no. unless Henry has filed for a loss of his receipt booklet with the police before the event has occur. 2. Philip was hired by ID Note previously and the first time Daydream has dealt with him, he was still a employee with ID Note. 3. More imptly, the location where the event occurred - at ID Note. If the above points are all fulfilled and Daydream filed a case against ID Note, the chances of winning is 120%. Anyway, I feel someone must have spoken and adviced Henry to pay up. Probably his reputation in renotalk will be affected if he don't up and resolve this swiftly. It doesn't matter whether he has chosen to pay up now. Personally, it boils down to the reaction and attitude of Henry when Daydream approached him. Even if he has chosen to pay up, in what manner did he pass the money/cheque to Daydream - did he apologise to Daydream, etc.

Hmm, reno alone is well above $50k. I happened to read Home and Decor and came across one interior designer saying his HATES for this job is being given a tight schedule which affects his creativity. Not enough time to think through every aspects of the design. Lol. I think this can be tag to Loyd for sure.

When I was at my ID's place, I tried to scratch his black glitter epoxy flooring with metal objects and other stuffs but the flooring looks fine though. Maybe it is the color.

If Henry indeed gave u a f**ked up attitude, it is a blessing in disguise that u didn't engage him.

All the curvey stuffs are expensive. And not forgetting the branded stuffs. Lol. We didn't ask his carpenters to do the bed frame. We got our sofa makers to construct the bed frame for us first. As for the headboard, we just got the detailed specification of the castle design from Loyd. Will check with the sofa makers whether they can do it or not. Loyd is busy, so we got our sofa makers to do it. Moreover, we are satisfied with the quality of the sofa and price they quoted is decent for a suspended/floating bed frame. Still deciding whether to do the castle design. His carpenters quoted a exp price for it in my opinion. And the display stand he designed is also exp.
