  1. I don't know if it is exp. But came across this product (http://www.bencore.it/eng/home.asp) which is popular abroad. And Getz Bros in sg happens to carry this.
  2. Angel! U going new new's place? Potluck u cook and bring the chicken can or not? Shss.. Simon and wife cannot eat though. We hide somewhere in new new's kitchen. Hee. Look so yummy!
  3. We live rainbows too! So vibrant! . Diving is a gd hobby. The underwater world is always fasinating! U don't like? I just checked. It is $125 only. My mistake. Cos I usually rely on my memories. My memory failed me this time round. . Hee. But 4 figure household items I confirm I can remember the prices clearly. Lol.
  4. Yes yes. U can opt to have that for the fibre-optics system, not available for the LED one though. But the whole system will cost almost $5k! When we went Lightology, we were also the only customer. ID told us their lights are more exp in general but designs are better. Were told they were selling the real designer lights in the past. Now they are selling the 'reproduction' - reality of life. Hi Joseeng, I was referring to the swarovski lights and rope lights. Other than that, not really using LED.
  5. Ossify, my electrical quote is abt $2.2k. It include abt 25 new lighting pts , 10 new power pts, installation of lights, 2 new telephone pts and 2 new SCV pts. All dimmers and switches inclusive (MK la).
  6. Cat Cat! Looking very very gd! Hee. Saw ur reflection in one of the pics. Hehe. I think I know why u said the wardrobe is not big enough for u. Is it becos only 2 doors to hang clothes? Hee. And I saw that ur front door does not have the peep hole. Are u installing camera or cctv outside ur door? Or am I 'out' liao. These days front doors do not have peep hole. . Hee.
  7. Bossie say can go liao! tonight or tomorrow then carry on.
  8. Noted. Actually, we wanted to change our bedroom doors to match the theme. But decided to do away with it for now. Cos we think mickey mouse motif doors not cool enough. Hee.
  9. It depends on which types of rope lights u want. I paid $250 pluse for it if I remember correctly. U been to Orchard Central recently? They used lots of long LED rope lights to decor the pillars. That one is exp, $100 plus per metre. Mine was like $40 or $50 plus per metre. Both are LEDs but the $100 plus one is much brighter. And I learnt something abt such rope lights. Actually, they are join together one. So, if the light fuses, only that particular metre will be affected. U just need to change that particular metre. Lomantic, I like! Hee. Stars... Wish Upon the Stars!
  10. They are LED lights, so ur bill won't expose even if u switch it on everyday. Hee. But the LED system has its disadvantages. The fibre-optics system, u can install a color-wheel (don't know the actual term for it). Generally, you can change the color of the lights, like a rainbow. And u can dim it or what. Meaning u can set it in a way where the crystals can fickle fickle, like real stars. But there are downsides for the fibre-optics system. Eventually, decided to get the LED one. Cat, we bought the swarovski lights at Lightology. Did u saw it when u were there?
  11. Aiya, Simon. I usually knock off quite late. By the time I reach my new place, took pics, shower and eat, very late. Bo pian lor. Hee. Yes yes. They are different sizes. 1 small, 1 medium and 2 big - unconventional or not the norm. Hee. Think need to redo the installation or think of something.
  12. Hey DMay, of cos don't mind at all. Simon, u go everywhere also 'greedy' in some way. lol.
  13. The sink I bought from Poh Joo, $200 plus. It is deep but not big. Was something we were looking for. Cat has the same light. Actually we have another small kitchen light, looks like a ice cube. Installed just outside the common toilet door. Hee.
  14. No. It is a lump sum but can't remember how much. Per light I faint liao. Hee. I have to check my just revised quote. Let u know when I am hm.
  15. Actually, we have a cartoon wall. Hee. Still brainstorming in full details. Wonder what arty-inclined new new will do to it. Hee. Disneyland, far from it. Disneyland cost billions of dollars to build wor. Thanks thanks Rainbowgal. Btw, Mr and Mrs Rainbow, do u all love rainbows? That why ur nicks have the word "rainbow" in it?
  16. Thanks Amrasenelya. Yup, we like cheerful colors. But not too much of it also. Hee. Yes, many put plants in white white toilet. But I think we probably want to do something different. Hee. The solo light is actually brighter in reality. But admit it is not very bright. We used a energy saving light bulb for the toilet. Actually, we have the same light for our storeroom. It is much much brighter. A 60W versus a 13W. Somehow, the downlights positions don't seem very gd. Will see how. Yup, they are previous holes for the downlights. I think they shifted it in their own accord. Probably the initial positions weren't that favourable.
  17. So bro, u want to sponsor false ceilings for my bedrooms? Hee. Our artificial stars... Hee.
  18. I am still working FULL day le. Envy u guys! . Hee. Happy New Year~~~ Have a magical day!
  19. $700 sounds like a gd price. Err, I typo. Seriously, I can't remember what I want to type. Cos I think I blur liao after reading all the t-blogs.
  20. Ours has deep cut, cost was $4 plus psf. But was on discount. Bought at $2 plus. I guess not many buying the tile design, that why it went on sales. I think the deep cut texture and 'randomness' makes it unfavourable with many. When we chose our kitchen floor tiles back then, ID said he just bought the exact tiles for his new design house, at the initial cost. Then we laughed at him. Haha. The edge is not round de. This is diagonal cut, don't know how to describe. Round is round, pointed ends are not round. Lol. HAPPY NEW YR EVERYONE!
  21. Formica is gd, well-trusted brand.
  22. Hmm, can't tell from the pic. But previously we did measurement based on the smallest wall-mount WC which we can find but sad to say, can fix but cannot walk. The spacing between the facing wall and WC will be a mere 10cm. Unless I hit the existing HDB concealed pipe system behind the existing WC point. Then the flushing system will be placed there. Too much illegal work thingy involved. So dropped the idea.
  23. Ossify, I know u are using alot of acrylic. Are u getting those plastic panels from Getz Bros & Co? Their plastics have lots of designs and supposedly reinforced. Can be used as partition too.
  24. CJREDDEVIL, Can this slide and open? I think something like pd doors design might be better? Cos u can open up the last panel. Should feel more spacious. Happy New Years!
