Me too. We are not buying big items until the house is ready. Plates and bowls are still okie cos the kitchen cabinets are consider done. Hee. Last time when we went to her place, we told her to adjust her halogen bulbs. Some of the lights are not shining at the correct angles.

I pay $1300 for 4 sets of wooden blinds with black ribbon tape, almost full heights to create illusion of full height window. IKEA is selling so cheap. I think u can try those photography shops that print canvas. . Their epson printers are the best in the market. Hee. I wanted to print photo on tiles but.... hai!

Just simple, in royal red color...... just not grand lor. We wanted something like curtains u see in castles or harry potter. But cannot find such curtain makers or should I say we didn't try hard enough. Hai. Now angry with myself. If anyone knows where I can make such curtains, please let me know. Hmm, now I think of it, maybe the curtain shop in Park Mall will have but I think must be exp. The curtain maker was recommended by my ID la. =.=

Agree. Cornice is kinda outdated. I don't like also. My ID suggested cornices for an area but we say a BIG NO. Hee. Hmm, my opinion is you should stick to what you prefer. After all, ID should listen to the owners' preference. I have conflicts with my ID and I believe this is inevitable during reno process. Let your voices be heard. If you can't achieve victorian theme structurally, then you will need victorian items to achieve the look. . I am not sure how much u were quote for the acrylic mirrors. But you can get such big big mirror including the decorated gold frame for less than 1k.

I think I said before, we are not really doing 100% disney theme. We love disney stuffs. So have some disney design elements. Overall, we hope to achieve a combination of disney+grand feel+bold colors+fun+romance+modern. Hee. . But pocket not deep enough.

I haven't seen a full gold cup yet. Usually, the usual are cups with gold trimming or pattern on it. Btw, it comes in silver also. A set of white white plates and bowls is a must in any household. Yes, white plates make food more delicious because attention will be on the food solely. Hee.

Aiya, no la. My disney theme is very mild, not overdoing it. See mickey see mickey not style. Ha. . Ha. At Parco Marina Bay. Actually, went there to try the Saboten restaurant. Disappointing, just don't live up to the Japan stores. The cafe cum shop is Octa Hotel btw. . Having 10% discount storewide during this period.

New new! WhenI buy gold stuffs (except gold bar), I just feel like sharing with u. Hee.

Bought some household stuffs at a new shopping centre today. Reno pics have to wait. 1. Plates! White plates and bowls are a must for us. Hee. 2. Spoons! Gold spoons with crown and 'fake' diamond/crystal! So victorian and shiny! when we saw it, knew we will buy for sure.

Haha. Gd one. I think I need to spend $200k for reno then. Haha.

Black tiles are nice. We wanted to use that for our round living hall but Loyd said it makes the mini living area looks cheap. So didn't use eventually. And quartz are just too exp. The glittering effects of quartz tles compliment the crystal lights though. Loyd is a paint guy, not a wallpaper guy (FYI, he don't like wallpaper or decals). So I believe he knows what he is doing. Hope to see your final product soon. I haven't really bought much stuffs yet. Hmm, TV bought, sofa customised, dining chairs bought, coffee table bought, mattress bought... and that all! I am waiting for my dining chairs to be delivered first before shopping/customising the sofa for the mini living room. Doing it slowly cos we are picky. Hee. Post ur dining table.
