  1. Of cos, different pricing different quality which I always believe in. a 1k plus can't compare to a 10k plus teak furniture but is an alternative la.
  2. Usually the cost will be lower after on-site measurement. What brand of granite table top u are using? Laminated finishing for the carpentry or? If so, must check the brand also.
  3. U're welcome. I think most of us buy our tiles at either Harfary and Soon Bee Huat. They are more establish I would say. I see that u are going for wooden feel for the whole house. I think if u clad the walls also, the feel is much better than just laying wooden flooring alone. http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_ILjW1fygFyo/R_kC...rvale+Dr+01.jpg http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_ILjW1fygFyo/R_kC...rvale+Dr+02.jpg
  4. Helping Hands (http://www.thehelpinghand.org.sg/) sell wooden furniture (eg. teak dining table) at very reasonable price. U can pay a visit if u are looking for such table designs.
  5. Saw some design sites that Electrolux just came out with a new washing machine and dryer to match the new collection! The new washing machine looks pretty gd. If u are not in a rush its okie. I am no longer in a rush. Lol.
  6. Yah, Hansgrohe is not very cheap. I like the new collection PuraVida from Duravit/Hansgrohe. Hee. My reno? Nothing much at the moment. Still discussing some stuffs with Loyd and waiting for him to come back with his drawings. In the mean time, sourcing for a mirror for the MBR toilet. How is urs? Can complete by end of month?
  7. Thanks Patsy_sg. Will check it out when I have the time. Actually, the one which I made is also velvet material, just not the very grand type. Lol.
  8. U bought everything at Poh Joo? U should take pictures. Because u might not remember the designs which u selected after some time.
  9. If u are stringent, can tell them to flood the flooring after waterproofing is done to test the quality.
  10. Sure can cut. I feel it wouldn't make much difference in term of look though. I wouldn't recommend moving the trunking to the top. If we can, we should avoid exposing the trunking, especially air con trunking as it is very thick and more obvious if u move to the top. I would recommend making a false wall to 'flush' the wall with the air con trunking if budget allows.
  11. Generally, concrete wall is a better choice than gypsum board. Some cons of gypsum boards are 'hollowness', echo producing, heat absorber, not ideal to drill hole, etc. But as u said, it is cheaper.
  12. Hard to comment on this but I think the workmanship can be better? But I think a 0.5cm gap is reasonable/acceptable for such designs. From what I know abt retro designs for cabinets/cupboards, usually between 2 doors, there should be a partition. So when the 2 doors are closed, u won't see the gap. But of cos, from the side, it doesn't look so nice.
  13. The edges must be rounded for retro theme. An important element.
  14. No le, I think Cat told me she is in her 40s. Ops. Hahah.
  15. Oh okie. . Hee. Haven't visit the site for quite some time liao. No la, cannot have toomany disney stuff la. Hahaha.
  16. Any update, Annjoy gal? Kitchen and wardrobes are up liao?
  17. If u are using DSLR, u need to increase the shutter speed. If u are using point and shoot cameras, u can try to set it to the function meant for taking fast action (eg. sports). Usually the logo for this function is a stickman in a running pose. Hope this help.
  18. No la, still not decided yet. And design not finalise and cost wise is also a factor. My mattress? We bought mattress from Serta already - bought last yr actually. Lol.
  19. Any particular theme u are going for?
  20. Okie. . A looks gd. Just ensure that the size of the pendant light is not too small when place in the living area.
