  1. It is a real cut out from gysum board. The construction should be at least 1 inch thick. Actual thickness not sure, didn't measure. Hmm, mickey will have light too! Hee.
  2. Yah yah. Haha. What admin charge har? . Don't get u. Or u mean the reno cost for this?

  6. Charemme, u can choose to deposit money into the card account to up your credit limit. eg. $5k credit limit + deposit $10k = $15k credit limit available
  7. Hope you don't mind but I feel the one which you haven't chosen is not very nice, mainly because the brown looks like coffee or soya sauce kind of stain if you know what I mean. Just my 2 cents. But if your choice is quartz, then I think that is the nicest among it.
  8. Hi Mr & Mrs Macbart, Hugo Kitchen at Parkmall is a gd place to get inspirations for kitchen designs. Same as both of u, wifey and I love to surf the internet for ideas, especially european websites. Wanted to buy a curvy sink at Hugo Kitchen but the price is almost $2k, abit too steep for us. And using tempered glass for the whole kitchen is really different. For us, can't do so as it is more costly to make curvy tempered glass. Yah, agree that white cabinets help a small space to look cleaner and spacious. And that is the main reason why many choose white for their kitchen cabinets I believe. My kitchen is not ready, will upload picture of it in due course. Just to share first, we are doing a full blue kitchen, that why my hob is blue in color too. Our criteria to IDs are always the same. We want something curvy and round in design and layout wise. I won't say we wanted something different just for the sake of it. Our purpose is to reduce sharp edges in the home, more kids and elder friendly we believe. And my wifey tend to get bruises due to knocking onto sharp edges too. So that how we settled on the criteria for our home reno.
  9. Welcome to Renotalk! All the best to your renovation!
  10. Hey macbart, This is what i call a modern kitchen. Factors include high-gloss laminates used, tall unit to show full piece of gloss laminate and no kitchen handle for the cabinets (i believe u will not have it and no handles equal sleek). And the color burgundy is right! If i were u, I would have used burgundy for the whole kitchen. It is bolder and personally, I feel white laminates are not very gloss partly becos it is white in nature. But the choice is always best guided by one's personal taste. Thumbs up! Nicely done.
  11. bank how to get release early. imagine the bank branches all close shop earlier. hahah. sure kena complain. btw, didn't win anything. SIAN!!!! saw all the electrical appliances fly away, my samsung LED 7 series.... lol.
  12. thanks thanks rondy bro!! actually can win anything i happy liao! last yr we have a $10000 cash price, hopefully this yr still have and i am the lucky winner. hee!!! cash is king!!!! dnd at suntec hall, cos i don't think many place can accomodate 5000 ppl.
  13. i saw this at a reno mate' t-blog. hehe. in general, colored solid surface top are easier to maintain. at least if the top get stained lightly, not so obvious. it is nice but i was advised that black+red+white combi is overused by many. initially wanted to choose this combi becos mickey mouse color but dropped the idea.
  14. yup yup, superstar! we are guessing will we see someone dress up as star. hahha. mickey mouse need to go get ready also. haha. sir mickey in a shining armour. lol. gd for u, only need to work till 1pm. we never have such luxury.
  15. bte, this is the cinderella castle in tokyo disneyland. hehe. there are basically 2 castle designs in disneylands. the other one is sleeping beauty. this particular castle design is used for the disneylands in tokyo and paris plus magic kingdom at orlando. oh, this particular pic is showing the one in tokyo disneyland becos the castle is painted in a slightly different shade. hopefully i am not wrong. lol.
  16. the design is both asethetic and functional. that why we like it.
  17. actually very hard to create a castle in a hdb la cos u all know la, firstly hdb ceiling not high lor, hard to replicate the feel of high ceiling. castles usually have a lot of stained glass. wanted to have stained glass in one corner of the house but stained glass not within my budget unless wifey allows to spend more. and i checked that the few stain glass makers in sg not very confident can do stain glass disney characters well. next, wifey don't like cornices, castles usually have cornices-like structures. hdb 110 sqm, how to be grand in term of size also. hee. many things else to say if want to. lol.
  18. actually i agree completely. never thought of customising a dining table. it took us by surprise also when id showed us the floorplan layout and design. the dining table id designed is too gd for us to reject and the design will blend in with the kitchen nicely, so we are fine with it. and i was also thinking my parents is still using the dining table they bought more than ten yrs ago. so i think we probably won't be changing so soon. today i quite free in the office cos today company dnd at suntec. everyone is just not doing much work. everyone is getting ready to change into their superstar outfit now. hee.
  19. Welcome welcome! osync and ossify any link or not? hee.
  20. bro, why u so sure i am 'building' a disneyland le. hahaha. i never say that before wor. hahah. hmm, i think think my theme should be disney + castle + comtemporary. i am also not sure. lol.
  21. during peak hrs, 10% of the seat are taken up from joo koon (these are the ppl who will just take the train from either boon lay/pioneer to jon koon and back just to secure a seat). 70% of the seat are taken up at pioneer station. remaining 20% at boon lay. so by the time it reaches lakeside, confirm no seat. i take train from pioneer station to work everyday lor, so info is very accurate. hehe.
