Cat, using singnet? I have the same problem too. I went hardwarezone forum, many singnet users complaining.

The white one looks like a sunflower design to me. If your sofa is red, either fan will match it. 2nd seems more timeless to me also. But a red ceiling fan will draw a relationship with the red sofa.

hi Butterfingerzz! Merry Christmas! Can you show me how does a T-bar looks like? I visualize it will look abit strange because there is a T-Bar for this room and not the other rooms. -
ossify, any particular theme to your home? I think I saw the 2nd fan in other t-blog also. It looks gd! Personally, I think if you want ppl to focus on your ceiling, then 1st choice. If you want a cool color ceiling, then 2nd design I think will be more suitable. 1st choice will be gd if your living room is not vibrant in color term. The bold red will help to inject some character into the living space. But after so much nagging, I will go for the 1st one. Unique!

Hi, do you watch the the Ch8 7pm drama? I saw the 'Apple' light in the Joanne Peh's home in the show. Hee. I think the big one is $240 or $280. Can't remember. There will be glass doors with 'specific' design. Hehe. Actually arch design is abit old school (80's) but we just like it. My curve wall is still quite some time to completion because feature wall design is still under discussion. I won't even know whether feature wall is the right term for it. It will be a long design from the main door (probably) to the living hall. Christmas is almost over. Boxing Day is next. Happy Boxing Day or a happy weekend.

Do you think you can accept and live with this? With flash. No flash. When the door is closed, it looks fine. Another new parquet area but this blends in well with the existing parquet: Personally, I can accept the parquet flooring not running in the same direction. But the colour disparity seems a bit too obvious. I walked to and fro a few times and think the parquet in that area is abit too distracting. It is like a focus point. U can't stop focusing on it when you step into the walkway. Maybe it is just me. Of cos, I think we can put a carpet outside the bedroom to hide this. But the issue will always be there. Don't know how. Redo the area will be another delay. ID said staining just a particular area will make it worse. Solution is to redo. Do you all know any other alternative? -

Some carpentry work will be up next wk. -
Hihi. Did u buy anything at Megatex today or should I say yesterday? Haha. Merry Christmas!

Hi Ninja3101, I think the colors of the floor and wall tiles look too similar. I do not know how your kitchen layout will be. But assuming after kitchen capentry is up and u are still able to see quite a big area of wall tiles, then there will be a lack of constrast between the floor and wall. The space will look a bit smaller and ceiling will look lower because our sense is unable to differentiate the height between the ceiling and the ground. This is also the problem with some hotel ballrooms. If u do pay more attention to hotel ballrooms, some of them give u a very low ceiling feeling becos the color of the carpet is very similar to their wall color. Sometimes it is not becos the ceiling is really very low but becos our sense tell us so. This is how our brain interpret I guess. I hope u get what I mean. Just my opinion la. Enjoy your reno process!

it has been a while, nirvana. how is everything? Merry Christmas!

My advice is to install air con now. Cos if you intend to install later on, the running of trunking might be obstructed by the carpentry work (eg. wardrobe, WIW). In such case, the running of trunking might not be the most ideal (eg. have to go a longer route). Furthermore, the amount of dust created by the installment will make the whole house dirty. U have to spend decent amt of time to clean it up. Ask Pinkpetter. She will tell u to install during reno.

no la, not doing disneyland theme. why all thinking i am making disneyland. hee. happen to like bold colors. actually, when the feature walls and furniture are in, there will be some cool colors, so won't be so striking or that bold anymore. -
Or maybe can ask ur ID/contractor for pricing to compare.
-
I agree with Rondy, 2 ft (62cm) is okie. I read before that for cove light, minimum width is 20% of ceiling width. 62/280 = 22% so should be okie.

For me, the nearest supermarket to my new home is NTUC at Jurong Point, so NTUC is first and no choice lor. lol. But I like shopping at NTUC Extra in Jurong Point. Use maybank credit card to pay can earn 5% cash rebate and at same time, still can earn linkpoints with ntuc card. Hee.

Rondy , I think I should get u a binocular to check on annjoy every now and then. lol.

ID informed me parquet floorings done yesterday. Later will go and check it out. I hope everything is okie. Hope everything is okie because there is one minor issue with my parquet flooring from hdb actually. The issue goes like this: When we check the house on the day we collected the key from HDB, we didn't spot a problem with the parquet flooring. There are 3 bedrooms in total. And we didn't notice that the parquet flooring of one of the rooms was not lay in the same direction as the other 2 rooms! Fast track to now, HDB won't rectify this since it is already more than 1 yr of the period wihich they will rectify issues. But we didn't ask la. With the construction of the round walkway, the problem is how to lay the parquet in this area. Eventually, it was decide to run it parallet to the 2 rooms. I wanted to change the parquet flooring for the odd room but ID said close the door won't notice anything. Wifey also say so and probably wait till final product before deciding. Wifey abit perfectionist so if it ends up worse, I think more headache for me. And there is another problem also. Different batches of parquets will have different color tone after varnishing. So also another problem if the color disparity is too obvious. But this can rectify by staining though. So I am really hoping for the best! -

My windows are already too small, so window unit also out. Hoping to find a type of air con (if it exist in the first place) which functions like portable air con but can mount on the wall.
