Not very common here but I have seen a reno similar to this concept but it was to hide the service yard from the normal eyes. Usually the service yard is at the corner or edge of the kitchen. In this instance, there was a small wondow also. So the window was sealed up and a door was created. Everything was flushed with the same design concept as the kitchen. It was quite awhile I saw in a mag. I will try to find it and post here if I can. But ur idea is workable for sure base on ur floor plan.

Hi Kobelala, Thanks for bumping it up. Sorry to the readers. Didn't finish up writing the blog. Will find some time to post some after stay in pics. Anyway, currently planning a minor reno for part of the house. Waiting for ID to come back with ideas. Hee. -
Hihi. Gd taste in the stuffs u are interested in. . Ultimately there is always a trade off btw comfort level and designs. But I think u know what u want and I also believe design is the way to go for a beautiful house u will be proud of. Even if u have young kids, I don't think we must always compromise. There are many ways to take care of the so call 'hazards'. . So I look forward to see ur complete house.

The crystal lights are not bright enough. But it was never meant to be bright I guess. I wish I have lighting points at some spots. But the ambience is gd for sure. . Looking to get Loyd to do some stuffs soon. But I guess he is bz as usual. Last Jan he was nice to send his worker to help me with opennet installation without charging me. He kept his words. Hee.

Hi Rasfene, It has been a long time! I didn't log in for a long time. Your home is nicely done up! Hope everything went smooth for you - wedding, renovation, etc! I understand. It must be a tiring process to have to manage so many things at one time. Just a quick qn. For the living room, are the lights bright enough for you? Enough lightings for you?

Hi Kaijia, Thanks for the info. As I always believe in, you pay peanut, u get peanut. I was comparing the plans between NTUC and AIA and I opt for the NTUC becos it is cheaper ($90+ for one yr). I guess I made the wrong choice. -

Yup, the policy states so. To be frank, I can't remember whether I locked the kitchen windows or not but most probably not becos I observed my neighbours before that they didn't lock, so I think it should be quite safe not to lock when going to sleep. Don't ask me how much I lost cos it is quite a bit. I lost quite a bit becos it happened during the 1st wk when we shifted in. We left some of the exp stuffs in the living room. That nite when it happened. we left our wallets and bagsoutside of our room also. He walked on the ledge when he exited also. For my neighbour's case, the burglar walked out of his main door! Can you imagine that. Pics la, keke. Your place not perfected yet? I think you will never feel perfect. Lol. U hor. Will invite when I am more settled in la.
