Now more Singles and couples are eligible for HDB loan. If resale HDB is 400K, the single gets to save 20K cash on the 5% downpayment when he/she takes up HDB loan instead of Bank loan . While Khaw takes away some demand (10K to 12K couple earners) from resale HDB market, he also adds some demand (singles) to it.

Hdb Lauches Another 3,600 Flats
forgotten replied to bepgof's topic in HDB New/Resale Flats, Executive Condominiums
Given a choice, I believe many elderly people will not want to go through the hassle of moving house from a bigger one to a small one. Govt always increases the minimum sum required for CPF every year and builds more studios. It is like 'confiscating' more and more of the elderly people's retirement fund, and makes them downgrade to a studio to get money for retirement and pay for medical bills. -

What Is A Reasonable Cov?
forgotten replied to schiz0id's topic in HDB New/Resale Flats, Executive Condominiums
It doesn't happen to all locations. My wulu location's valuation appreciate only ~10K every 3 months haha. Buyers who are shopping for resale flat shouldn't bet on this. They should still cater enough cash for their COV + agent fee + 5% downpayment (if take bank loan) etc. -

That page actually reflects all resale prices (including COV) for approved resale transactions after their 1st appointment. My resale transaction appeared on the page after 1 week after my 1st appointment. -

Regarding Levy Grant
forgotten replied to pikachu33's topic in Housing Rules, Policies and Procedures
Yes, you have to repay the 20K in cash to HDB when you collect keys to your BTO. Details available at http://www.hdb.gov.s...vy?OpenDocument My friend is in quite same situation as you. She sold off her house and wanted to apply for BTO at first. But my friend gave up on the idea of BTO after she heard that she had to repay the 20K in cash. -

20% + 15% of our income will be written off as bad debt. This is to make us repent until the day we step into our coffin. We have no dignity left. -

Which floor do you stay at? If you stay at high floor, the noise won't affect you so much.

Before stay together in same house, already cannot communicate well. After stay together in same house, sure fight everyday one

Yeah lor. S1 & S2 residents who drive, will end up paying almost the same fee as some suburban condos residents. The condo residents still get additional facilities.

You are lucky to grab a season parking for open carpark. No need to drive car up and down, no need to take stairs/lift up and down, and cheaper fee than multistorey carpark. Hard to find open carparks nowadays. HDB is demolishing open carparks.

Position Of Ceiling Fan
forgotten replied to moissanite2's topic in Ceiling, Walls and Flooring Works
I don't switch on the ceiling fan in my hostel bedroom and my current living room if I am too near or underneath it. It's psychological barrier for me because I feel unsafe under a moving mental object. Personally I will not install ceiling fan above sofa and bed. -
Heehee because Pay and Pay considers DBSS residents to be richer than normal HDB residents Town council & IRAS have "mean-testing" like Hospitals. They charge according to our property price. DBSS is more exp than HDB.
