I disagree with what your agent claimed. Instead of 4 weeks, it should be 8 weeks at most for 2nd appointment. 6 weeks to 8 weeks is the norm. Even my friend who appealed for earlier completion date with her seller, was given 5 weeks for 2nd appointment

There're only selections of washing time & no. of spins on my machine. Whether it's lasting anot, I'll only know in a few years time mah. The motor warranty is 5 years, other parts warranties are 1 year. Hope there's good deal for you to grab at the sales!

This 8kg model that I bought only adopt 1 single RPM for all washes. Besides washing machine, what other things are you also aiming to buy? I think if one buys more things, one has more bargaining power with the salesman.

If that agent comes to your doorstep to harrass both of you further, you can threaten him that you will report him to the police for harrassment! The house sale did not progress till the 2nd appointment, it was incomplete. There's no reason that the agent can demand you to pay commission for it lor. Even my agent mentioned that we did not need to pay her commission if we didn't manage to purchase the house successfully. We only need to pay her the commission after 2nd appointment.

If you haven't signed any commission form for the buying of the house via that agent, you are safe and can ignore the agency's letter. I think the agent is greedy and trying his luck to get more bucks from you.

Courts doesn't carry it. I saw the other forummer got the best quote for Hitachi SF-80KJ ($430). U can try going to the same place as him to order it!

I had visited Mega Store (Katong Mall), Audio House (Liang Court), Harvey Norman (North Pt), Courts (Causeway Pt). In terms of customer service & pricing, I like Mega Store and Audio House ones. In the end, I ordered my appliances from Mega Store because it happened that the salesguy from Mega Store that handled us, was more knowledgeable of the products and answered our queries well. The appliances would be delivered to my new house this Sat.

Anyone on the street can become an agent. That explains the wide variety of agents we encounter. When we engage an agent to sell our house next time, perhaps we should ask someone to call him up as a buyer to test his customer service hehe! We don't want our agent to chase away our potential buyers.

I recommend u to start calling up property ads and go view some EMs in Bishan. The viewing will give u a feel of the range of the asking COVs. Instead of Bukit Batok and Jurong, you should be referencing the prices of the towns nearby Bishan eg. Ang Mo Kio and Toa Payoh. You must also evaluate your side, how much cash are you able to fork out for COV? Don't forget, you still need to pay for your renovation and furnishing (furniture, applicances).
