Poll For Cov Paid (2009)
forgotten replied to cacabi111's topic in HDB New/Resale Flats, Executive Condominiums
Erm... I think your seller's agent chose a later date among the available dates for the 1st appt. My seller's agent didn't choose the earliest available date back then, as my seller wanted to delay the resale completion to give himself time to hunt for new place. -
Maybe you can try this DIY method that I have been using for years before you call up plumber. Pour baking soda over it. Pour vinegar over it. You will see chemical reaction and bubbles. After bubbles stop, pour hot boiling water over it. Water should be able to run faster into it, as this method unclogs dirt.

http://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/showthre...8228&page=2 Someone has called up HDB to ask. HDB seems to allow " take out my name as owner but retain my name as borrower". -

Possible for one to bypass the dual ownership rule by transferring private pty to family member or mistress 1st , then proceed to buy resale hdb? Thus no need to dispose off the private pty. -
Hey don't buy those air purifer with a tub of water+essential oil. My previous one broke down after just 6 months of usage. I don't know the price of that ionic air purifer. My ionic air purifer is of another brand, Nutz Innovation. I bought it at $170 2 years ago. Its air suction is strong and noisy and it produces some smell, so it can only be run when nobody is in that room. I regret buying it cos I hardly use it. I prefer to open my windows and door to air my whole house regularly. I just went to buy the Pest-Stop Pest Repellent from Popular today. Haha I find it funny that a Bookstore also sells some pest control products now! From online customer reviews from UK, it is very effective on rats. My objective of buying it is to use it as mosquito repellent. It doesn't use any chemical and claims to be effective for bed bugs and other pests too. Now I'm using vapour type of mosquito repellent at home every night. Hubby doesn't like the idea of us breathing chemical vapour for long term. Mosquitoes love me too much, mosquito patch doesn't stop them, they will give me 10+ kisses per week.

Well if the new rules affect the hdb resale prices too drastically, many owners can choose to hold onto their current hdbs and refuse to sell them. Buyer pool drops, seller pool will also drops. If you really likes that cck unit a lot and already pay 5K, then don't think too much about the new rules. Remember your area, already got ppl spending 100K COV. -

Household Shelter Hole
forgotten replied to aerial77_00's topic in RENOVATION IDEAS: Interior Design Themes, Space Planning
My household shelter door is facing my living room. I cover its hole with a clock that's exactly its size. You can also cover its hole with fake plants/flowers. Just don't seal it up permanently -
I'm lucky. I'm staying at 3rd floor, only saw 2 cockroaches throughout my 6 months stay, far less than what I expected for a low floor unit. Those 2 cockroaches very funny one hahaha, they waited below my covered bin at the same spot without moving a single inch for a long time as if food will suddenly drop from the sky for them? I think it helps that my rubbish chute is outside the house and all food stuff is thrown into covered bin. No food lies around exposed in the house.

Your MOP is 1 year. Me same case as u, I bought resale without grant and using bank loan. I even got a black and white email about the MOP from HDB officer. -

HDB keeps rolling out rules in addition to their already long pages of rules until I also feel "gong gong" sometimes. -

Those resale purchases with 1st timer grant already have MOP of 5 years since years back. -
Renting to working adults can be headache too. You can read our stories above. There're good and bad tenants/owners out there.
