  1. The round kitchen table looks nice! It's also safer for kids cos it has no sharp edges.
  2. Okok I must ask my 2 younger sisters to start joining grassroot activities, learn to act cute and innocert with their big eyes, sajiao"I don't know ...", sajiao "I think ...", stomp their feets.
  3. PAP MPs only know how to scold Singaporeans, calling us daft, not hungry enough etc. Why they never go and scold Temasek Holding directors like H* Ching, GIC directors and town councils for losing hundreds billions of taxpayers' money? PAP should give some due credits to Singaporeans for the success of SIA etc lor. If Singaporeans don't pay them so much tax, they got the money to build Changi Airport and set up SIA?
  4. I'm assuming you are referring to BTO? Hehe but not everyone is so lucky to get to meet their Mr/Ms Right in their school days. I have lady friends who only meet Mr Right in their early 30s. By the time they get the keys in 4 years time, they will be near 35 years old
  5. Next time at the meet-the-people session when old folks approach her, she will reply "I don't know" and stomp her feet lol.
  6. Now another much worse candidate than MBT, called Tin Tin is going to get to parliament thru the backdrop.
  7. Your house look very big leh! 6 windows in width! How many sqm is your house?
  8. My hubby is the opposite from your hubby. I never hear him grumble so much in our years together haha! I called him "grumpy old man" during reservist days and that period as "his yearly PMS". My brother and his colleagues love reservist cos it's a chance for them to switch off from their auditor work.
  9. This plan is workable! It has been tested and proven by many foreigners in Singapore for years. I read this plan on expat forums before. Honestly, I really pity our poor sons who are born in Singapore, they waste 2 years of life working cheaply for govt with the risk of injury and death!
  10. Your laminates for kitchen cabinet and TV console looks very classy leh!!! Think you are suffering from "house viewing fatique". It's natural for one, who have visited 30 units, to have no more mood to visit another 30 IDs.
  11. My common toilet's mirror faces south and faces fridge in my kitchen. No wonder the amount of junk food I am eating everyday is increasing as the day goes by hahaha. My waist line is also increasing as the day goes by.
  12. Each colour has so many many shades lor. You and your spouse have good taste in choosing the right shade for each colour! My BTO will have the same floorplan as you. Hopefully I don't have to apply PE for hacking the wall between service yard and kitchen.
  13. My parent's flooring is a marble one. I love marble flooring. It makes house feel cool, spill water onto it also nevermind, and no worry of termite attack. Polishing can lighten scratches on the marble surface but not fully remove them. Actually after you shift your furnishing into the house, the "flaw" of your floor will not be so obvious to you anymore hehe. p/s: Can we please exchange our flooring?
  14. The splash of colours on the bedroom walls looks great!!! I like the colours.
  15. Did you left out 1 zero? U buy the eden at 46700?
  16. Welcome! Your unit's floor area is bigger than usual BTO units.
  17. I went for a package tour at Taiwan years ago. The tour guide made us spend 2 hours plus in a Fengshui shop. Step 1, they read our Bazi. Step 2, they asked us to buy multiple Pi Xiu statues and place them at home. They have Pi Xiu of different colors representing different elements. Step 3, they will Kai Guang the Pi Xiu. My hubby and I, and another couple were the only ones in the tour group, who never buy any Pi Xiu. The other families in the tour group, each bought SGD 2K to 8K of Pi Xiu! In the shop, the so-called grand Master quickly went to service one group of rich Tai-tai in our tour group. He got his disciples to service the rest of us. I had fun 'manipulating' the disciple guy that was servicing us. At the start, he tried to ask us questions that would reveal our personal info like occupation, career, marriage etc. Haha I tried to give vague replies to those questions and later asked him to guess us what are our occupations, how did our career go for past 1 year? I told him that he was so smart to guess my hubby's occupation correctly to make him a little happy. Then hor, I told him that he guessed all my things wrongly! It was obvious that he used the earlier information he dig from us, to make the subsequent predictions about our lives. At the end, he tried to hardsell us Pi Xiu statues. Phew... Heng, my hubby and I never buy any Kai Guang Pi Xiu back. I ever met a super accurate "forture teller" overseas in my uni days. Service cost only $20. She also never ask me to buy anything. Disclaimer: Above was just my personal experience. It does not imply that all Fengshui masters are like above.
  18. Tell your husband/wife that MR. Burglar will also say "Carry less key, how nice" LOL.
  19. Yes a photo will be helpful hehe! Does GIANT in JB sell Borax?
  20. How about spraying epoxy paint over the tiles? Pro: Much cheaper than overlay, no need to worry whether the tiles will pop whatever Con: Paint will fade after 5 years, so have to spray epoxy paint again
  21. Erm I wouldn't suggest having the same key for both locks. It will reduce the security level provided by the locks. *Touch wood* What if we lose the key accidentally?
  22. I think the proximity of the unit to MRT stations and famous schools influences the resale value and rental value much more than the facing. Regarding the heat, you have to wait for replies from ppl who are staying in NW, SW facing units now.
  23. Haha I also got 1 telling me he need to bring his friends back for party + overnight stay.
