hi ngunadi, what will you be using your entertainment system for? mostly music or movies? for movies, it is recommended to have surround speakers (5.1 channel) to complete your setup and you will need an amplifier to drive the speakers. first of all, you have to decide on a budget. from there, you can determine whether you would like a home theater in a box system or separate components system. for separate components systems, a good place to check would be the hifi shops at Adelphi who can advice an appropriate system based on budget and size of your room. hope this helps!

no problems el nino. i would suggest that you upgrade your sub. i find that the definitive technology sub not up to standard compared to their surround and centre speakers. trust me, a good sub and centre speakers will make your home entertainment experience to die for. not sure of the specs difference between velo CHT8Q and spl-800i but i love my spl-800i! i was served by jeffrey during my visit to KEC.

hi melvin, For the bedroom with the purple feature wall, i have currently have two wall lights (40W) which i will be upgrading to at least 75W. Recently bought a 100W stand light to supplement the light. I have yet to install lights at the study room. Plan to install a ceiling light next to the fan (same level/lower than the fan blades) and have lights just above the study table. Hopefully the lux level is sufficiently comfortable. hi infinitie, thanks for the compliments. the scaling down of the storeroom really helped in making the kitchen bigger. also the relocation of the sink made it possible to have a galley kitchen. the washing machine is actually next to the fridge and i plan to install the Ezzi Living clothes hanger in the near future. in the meantime, laundry is being done at my future in laws place a stone throw away.

hi el nino, the sound will still come out from the correct channels as long as the wires are not swapped. However, if the speakers are off different models, the sound coming out might be affected.

haaha.. yes el nino. i would suggest procinema 600 for the surround speakers and procinema 800 for the front speakers. to install the front speakers at ceiling level should be ok as you are able to adjust the speaker loudness accordingly. i have seen that set up in some houses previously. however the best configuration is always to have the speakers at ear level to have the best effect.

hi rondy, not a great cook/ baker but can survive. will definitely look out for the baking t-blog for inspiration. hi torres, used their default cables for both the surround and front/centre speakers. the set up cost me $3.5k. highly recommended set up with the mid size living room space.

hi rondy, yeah... fortunately i got the ID to carry some space planning for me to maximize the available space and storage for the unit. hi merydith, i was at first disappointed with the existing kitchen when i viewed the unit. but after discussing with my ID, we managed to work something out to make it feel more spacious via the hacking of the storeroom and relocating the kitchen sink. was at first hesitant on getting an ID to save cost but now i definitely have no regrets as she has done a great job in the end!

hi melvin, you should install at least one access panel (450mmx450mm min) for each bathroom and kitchen if you have a storage heater in the ceiling. Also, if you have cassette or ducted aircon, an access panel (600mmx600mm) is required for servicing and maintenance of the aircon.

Hi Melvin, the living room and bedrooms without false ceilings are 3.1m high. The kitchen and bathrooms are about 2.5m high.

Storeroom sliding door 5. Mirrors in bathrooms 6. Vanity cabinets in bathrooms 7. Curtains Installation 8. Touch up painting hi rondy, yeah come from a construction line which makes it easier to source for materials and labour. drawings were done by my draftperson based on the unit measurements. hi garion, it is actually 400x400mm Italian compressed marble which was popular in the late 90s/ early 2000s. Basically didn't want to replace them due to cost and time. Here are some of the current photos of the unit. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to take any in progress photos to share.
