Hi Clement08. Yes, it has been a long, dull wait until this original thread was closed down months ago. There's really nothing worth contributing. I've heard from neighbours that some of them have received their keys, some received their letter of key collection. But nothing for me yet. My unit is on the 28th floor - chosen simply due to its auspiciousness. Hope to see you around in the neighourhood soon!

Finally, the lifts are in operation for public use! The view from the upper floors was awesome! One step closer to our long-awaited new home!

How amazing that the developer can build such a big mall with shops that are as small as our living rooms in 441A / B? *LOL*. After such a big hype on the mall, the end product is such a disgrace.

I haven't really give a thought on the location of the letter boxes. *lol*. Regarding the residential lifts, i had the impression they were on the ground floor on the long corridor along the Singapore Post stretch (can't remember what's that block number), judging by the 2 signages that points to "Lifts for 441B". They are now currently sealed up so i had no idea if my assumption is correct. It's interesting to have the residential lifts on the 6th floor just like the set-up of a hotel lobby. Well, i have yet to explore 441A and the car park to figure this out though. How will / can all the shifting take place? Thanks for your advice on the compensation. I remembered reading along the lines (on advanced payment) from the HDB website but i'm still not 100% clear about the formulaes. Taking your example, :- Compensation of en-bloc flat : 230K Purchase price of replacement flat : 200K Outstanding loan of en-bloc flat : 10K Here's where i start to get confused :- Compensation used to discharge existing loan amount : 230K - 10K = 220K Balance of compensation (220K) - purchase price of replacement flat (200K) = 20K So what will happen to the 20K? HDB's definition for Advanced Payment states that :- You receive an advance payment amount up to $25,000 per flat, from (balance) compensation for renovation and removal expenses. You must maintain a minimum balance compensation of: $3,000 for 1 & 2-room flats, or, $10,000 for 3-room or bigger flats How do i interprete that?

Hi all, If the purchase price for a replacement flat is lower than the "selling price" of an en-bloc flat, what will be the HDB arrangement for the difference in the 2 values? Will they compensate the full amount of difference in cold, hard cash? If yes, when will it take place? What will happen if there's still outstanding loan for the existing en-bloc flat? Will HDB apply the difference and offset the maximum amount for the loan? Thanks in advance for the kind advice.

4 more months! I must have missed out on that article. Guess i can put the planning / sourcing on hold again. On 2nd thought, looking at the progress on the painting of the flats and fixing of the windows, i wouldn't think they will be ready in the next 3 months. Same goes for the mall. There are still plenty of debris around the side entrance / escalators of the mall (near the Singapore Post) and the interiors of the 2nd floor, we should be looking at end March for the other floors to be opened. (Side-track : Interesting to find the lifts for block 441b along that side stretch of doors - it's like a guessing game for the right lift. LOL.) By the way, i have a question. I'm still paying off the remaining loan for the existing unit. Given the "difference" based on the "selling price" of the existing flat against the discounted purchase price of the new one, will HDB offset the "difference" against the remaining loan or there's an option the money will be return for renovation purposes? How's the procedure and arrangement by HDB like?

Seems like the active users in this forum are from block 436! I'm from the same block too! Just a couple more months wait for the new flat to be ready - the excitement is gradually building up. When are we expecting to receive the next letter / update from HDB? Hopefully, all the high-rise littering households among the 3 blocks (436-438) will wake up their idea and stop their inconsiderate acts at the new premises. The entire neighbourhood is unbelievably dirty and unhygienic! I'm praying hard for considerate neighbours left, right, top, bottom at the new flat!
