  1. Hi there, Welcome to renotalk! What i did the previous time was to source around renotalk as well as read thru some magazines (Home & Design, Square Rooms, Etc) for ID contacts and ideas. Once that was done, i went 'painstakely' to meet up with them one by one. You can imagine travelling all around Singapore, very tiring!! Guess you have to let them know before hand your ideas (if any) and they will be able to advise as well as sharing their ideas. Be warned though, some IDs can be very pushy and some can sit there, look at you, keep mum for the whole session. Be careful of any hidden costs as well - the most impt thing for me is i managed to find an ID whom i'm comfortable with (Meaning he can listen and fulfill my requirements, push his workers to meet deadline and help me save costs). I've done mine under summit design, if you want the contact of my ID, let me know Cheers!!
  2. Lol, nope we don't cook often at home, guess that's why it's not much of a worry for us. I could suggest getting a good hood to absorb the smoke.
  3. Yo! THanks! Reno Costs is about 42K Other stuff like furnishing, electricals, wiring is about 18K

  5. Hello all! Finally moved into the new house and everything seems to be in place amid some minor touch ups which is a norm. Took some time for me to put in the pictures and i lost my precious camera in the midst of the reno progress so i have limited pics to show esp the mid part of the reno. For a start, here's some Before & After pics which i did. EnJOY!! I Will post more pics up pretty soon!! Living Room: Kitchen: Master Bedroom
  6. Hi hi, Nice blinds and curtains. Do you have a breakdown of how much you've paid for them? Am currently sourcing for roller blinds

  11. Hi JuzChris, Can you change my T-blog Topic title to "Dwelling of SL & K" Subtitle to "EA in CCK" Thanks!!
  12. Am using "Summit Design" ... Hopefully it will go smoothly
  13. Hi hi! Thanks much! hopefully it will also go as well!
  14. Hi hi, Can i find out how much you spend on this? Cheers!
  15. Right! We are officially "Town Neighbours" Keep in touch! Cheers!
  16. Yup, near Southview Primary. Same here Reno hasn't started... will blog about it soon... just wanna firm up a few things. Just saw your layout in your T-blog, very niceeee too! which part of Bukit Panjang?
  17. Hey hey, thanks for your comments! It's located in CCK central (That's the road name) but dun be fooled by the central bit, it's still located 10 - 15 minutes walk away from the MRT You're right, they were really nice sellers. Btw, your house is an EA also? Think that's a good price too!
  18. LoL, the area in CCK is quite "Barren" as compared to Tampines if you know what i mean Which i guess is why the value of flats is higher in Tampines. Also considering my soon-to-be flat to be around 18 years, i think that played a part in the somewhat low valuation. Anyway, i agree with you that prices of flats are really exorbitant nowadayz and there are still buyers willing to part with a high amount of cash. Which kept me wondering, was there ever a recession in Singapore during the last few months?! To say the least, i'm pretty sure you will find something out there soon. Keep me posted. Hope to share your joy too Cheers!
  19. Thanks thanks! No links whatsoever
  20. Hi Hi, Thanks for your welcome. I'm in the midst of finalising my design (About 90% confirmed actually). Yes the layout is definitely similar to the one you were interested in. My unit is at CCK and i will be collecting my keys soon on the 30th this month. I've gotten this unit at 400K + 5K COV so i'm not really sure whether that's realistic, it's on the 3rd floor btw. My space planning for your reference
  21. LoL..... i've made a big boo boo here, was testing out how to upload my floorplan and instead created a new topic titled "Test" Any ways for me to amend the topic title or delete this topic? Any comments appreciated
