I am getting a 24KBtu/h Panasonic Envio single split for living/dining area and a system3 20.5KBtu/h for my 3 bedrooms. Mine is a HDB and the given outdoor aircon power point is only 20A. According to the specifications given by Panasonic website, the 24KBtu/h model is taking 9.7A wheares the 20.5KBtu/h model would suck up 8.3A max (when 3 indoor units are turned on at the same time). Since the total maximum current used by these 2 compressors is 18A, would the 20A aircon power point be enough to drive both compressors? Or I have to use the indoor aircon power point for 1 of the compressors? Is the specifications given by Panasonic reliable? According to my aircon man, this is the very first time he heard people staying in HDB wanna install a 24KBtu/h single split unit.....but based on his calculation, my living/dining areas do need such a big capacity (22KBtu) to cool down the place especially when it's crowded. Thanks a lot for your feedback

not really, mine is the same for power dekor. think ID can only give you cheaper if they earn more from some other items from your renovation list.

Panasonic Envio Series Aircon (e-ion) - Any User Here?
tingshen replied to tingshen's topic in Electronics & Electricals
the new model is more expensive than the older model, if I'm not wrong system 3 is around at least $200-300 more expensive depending on your requirement leh... -
National/Panasonic or Sharp anytime!!!! other brands are just normal aircon menz....

you shall opt for power dekor instead of supreme/premier. they have many choices for colors etc. Perhaps your ID gets higher commission from Premier lol! if possible, deal directly with them and then ask your ID to lias with them for installation.

Where Got Sell This Kind Of Sofa? Possible To Customade?
tingshen replied to tingshen's topic in Home Furnishings
i think for full leather, it's easily $3K+ and above..... most probably we are changing plan, not taking this kind of sofa anymore.... -
just my rough calculation based on a website, my area should be around 41m2, height not too sure, assuming 3m as there is no false ceiling, so the BTU is around 17KBTU, so a 18KBTU/h single split unit should be just nice the calculator is here: http://www.cwplant.co.uk/home/aircon_calculator.asp storeberry, you must take into consideration about the total power needed. A system 3 usually has the power of 22KBTU/hr. if you are sharing this system 3 with your bedrooms and living room, you must make sure the compressor has enough power. For my case, just the living room alone requires a single split unit, my other 3 bedrooms will be on System 3. Single split unit is more powerful and most costly for sure. yah, am considering 22K too......but it's really a luxury item menz......22K will be same price as System3 liao but after some quick check, there is no such thing as 22KBTU/h leh, most of the brands are 24KBTU/h instead......

purchase of aircon is 1 thing, installation is another thing. They can sell you cheap cheap but charge you deep deep til your pocket 1 big hole for installation. I think it's tough for group purchase for such item. It's not TV, or other stuff that requires no installation one. Anyway, I'm looking at Sharp PlasmaCluster, any recommendation? Looking at System 3 AU-LP21CV (AH-PM09CV x 3) http://www.sharp.com.sg/SharpProducts/prod....asp?prodID=138 and a Single split unit 2HP model (need not be Sharp) Price is secondary, workmanship is No1!

I heard as long as you can hit $3K, they straight away give you more than 15% discounts liao, regardless of whatever card you're holding etc. if you pay by cash, can even negotiate even more!
