  1. aiyo....all the taitai talk......so envy.......for my girl hahah.... karen, so you found a job and starting job soon? what do you work as? As for ways to make a lot of $$$ but dun need a lot of time, you can look at investment, starting a business, being a consultant or many other things the initial part will be tough, but once things are on track, you will be **** free one! heheh....
  2. are they expensive? roughly how much it cost you to get the job done?
  3. well, there are tons of things you can do to earn a lot of $$ yet dun need to spend a lot of time one.
  4. Well, it will always be there, but all RADIOACTIVE items have half-life. So it will be degrading as time goes by. You shall ask the salesperson to write black in white if it degrades....he shall refund you in FULL! (under his/her name + the manufacturer/distributor name) The fibre thing is nothing new. More than 10 years ago already got people selling things like that in stockings, T-shirt or even lingeries...If you have contact with these fibre(or any thing that EMITS negative ion), your body will grow BIGGER/LONGER temporary as the cell is in relaxed stage. Why is it not advisable for pregnant women and cancer patient? I can't recall, but ethical manufacturers usually will put this clause one. I can find the info for you later I am not a doctor nor scientist, but you shall be able to google them from the internet I still think Jade-based mattress could be better....Fibre actually went through a chemical process before they put it in the product.
  5. you meant this evita SF9188? vs wow, didn't know they have different pattern/fabric, the one shown in your picture is so much nicer, the one shown in their website is so dull........
  6. walao, very contradicting man, earning not enough, you GALS COMPLAIN.....earning too much, you GALS also complain, aiya, i tell you what lah, let the guys be house-husband, all the GALS go out and earn big money and give money to the husband, OKAY? hahah.......
  7. how much does this sofa cost? didn't know Cellini has this kind of sofa, may be an alternative for us from Scanteak.
  8. TS seems to be very troubled by her husband job. I have seen a few thread about her complaining about his husband job. Well, marriage is 2 person thing, and you have to trust him, if you really do not feel comfortable about it, force him to change job. Sales line is quite easy to move around, there are companies without "weird" or "funny" people around. But are these the key? think about it. If your husband won't be affected by all these, nothing will happen. If he can't resist temptation, there is nothing you can stop him. So ask yourself, do you trust him? Do you still remember what you 2 had promised and what you 2 vowed during solemnization in front of JP, your parents and your friends+relatives?

    Career Change ?

I did, from technical to sales, to different industry, then back to the old thing again it was fun, but the price to pay is high. Why dun you find out more about hospitality & tourism industry by taking up some part time courses first? There are quite a few subsidized by the government mah. If you ever thought of starting a company or run a business, also do consider a entrepreneur course too, at least it gives you some overview about running a business, better than longpiak here and there right?
  10. negative ion is to simulate the natural environment like rainforest, waterfall etc. These ions will keep you more energetic, not something new lah. But it has half lives. I think those Jade mattress could be more effective. Fibre itself won't last for long. Most negative ion products have power socket to generate the negative ion, otherwise you will see the "degrading" effect after maybe 6 months or 1 year...... and just some warning for you guys, cancer patients and pregnant women are not advisable to sleep on those stuff......
  11. yup, not to mention their 0% installment plan on top of the discounts! No additional admin fee etc! I'm wondering if Taka do carry Vono & Slumberland.....still feel that the top brands are just too overpriced liao.
  12. Nic , I did a check on Vono, it seems to be a "value" brand under Slumberland. Just an article for your reference http://thinknolimit.blogspot.com/2007/01/vono-mattress.html it's not really a "new brand" leh..... Can you share more about the "coolest mattress" part? From what I see Vono brand is focusing on their 5-zone supporting system. Is the one you bought Spinal Care II or III? for more info, you guys may refer to this chinese article: http://bp1.blogger.com/_nJO5Ggj3938/RbQwoa...1600-h/Vono.jpg
  13. if you want to buy things from Taka, do wait for their in house promotion, sometimes, you can get more than 20% discounts if you're a taka card holder. We actually got some laura Ashley lightings at 20% off (although buying direct from UK is still cheaper).....
  14. contractors, ID, ahbengz all the same one......if you dun monitor them, sure screw up one..... meeting the chief designer tomorrow to see what she says, she is more professional.....**** sianz....
  15. Just wondering how much do you guys pay for your painting and what are the problems you encounter during the painting process? I suspect my ID's subcontractors mix water with the 3 in 1 paint and currently requesting Nippon to provide samples to verify.... the worse thing was, they went to paint all my doors and frame without my permission, from the original yellow to a funny weird GREEN color....... And they dirty all my newly bought toilet bowls.......may demand them to buy me a new toilet bowls.....1 of them cost $500+ **** pissed off, some dark color marks can't be washed away with water, as it's coated with anti-bacteria stuff, it can't be washed by acid wash.... most probably I'm going to ask them to repaint everything.....Nippon is sending me some sample board but I need to buy those 1 liter paint to paint myself and verify with the painted wall..... didn't know such a small thing could also give me so much headache......
  16. I have read about all the screen thingy liao. The real good ones are too expensive, with the image produced on my pink wall at my current house, it's very acceptable. New house wall is matte white, should have better results. This shall last me until I get my 70" XBR5 next year I dunno if it's acceptable to you guys, but this is what it is like when ambient lights are all turned on.....with the lamp in high power mode too lah.... I was thinking of using some optical paint, but can't justify the cost if it's only meant for 1 year...... May use a roller screen when I get my TV in.... just wondering, how come the plastering for whole house is so cheap from your contractors, there are more than 1 contractors told me whole house plastering will cost $3K+ one leh......
  17. zirhk3355, if your aircon man is stuck with xxx brand, then he will tell you you have to get this you have to get that. You can find all types of capacity for home entry level aircon for non-inverter but not the other way. brands like Panasonic do not have big size inverter compressor yet, although they are going to launch system 3 inverter....think it's delayed..... bo-peep, it doesn't cost you much to re do the piping, imagine 3 years down the road the piping is giving you problem, u know how troublesome to shift your stuff to relay the piping?
  18. yah, my contractor also told me plastering, but if I were to do this particular 3mx2m wall, it will cost $450, which is more expensive than some basic screen. Imagine the whole house plastering only cost $3K+? how much are you being charged for plastering? in the end, they used sand paper to make it smoother, I will have to see if I can get full focus from my projector before I decide to plaster + repaint it again...
  19. Panasonic is always one of the most durable brand, was under "National" brand before Matsu****a decided to rebrand their aircon business under Panasonic. The envio model has special cleaning mode, was deciding between it and Sharp Plasmacluster.
  20. snowiee. how much did you pay for it? GSS just started, everywhere having promotion/sales. But I realised they like to put those initial introductory price as "Usual Price", a bit misleading leh, in the end, the promotion is not very fantastic also.... Where would be a good place to purchase backcare 3 or 4?
  21. how limited is the "workmanship warranty"?? Shall consider Panasonic Envio, probably cost additional $100-200 only.
  22. see picture is useless one, pictures can't tell anything. You shall call them up, go down to their showroom and see it yourself. Or go to one of the Expo fair to compare everybody in 1 go
  23. it's been very very slow.......everything contractors also delay. now I really feel disappointed about them. ID, contractors, ahbengz all the same one.....they screwed up something else, then use your resources to resolve it....sianz..... hope to move in once the aircon is done, dun care about wardrobe kitchen cabinet liao, I need a place to stay.....hehe
  24. it doesn't matter if it's system 2, system 3, system 4 or single split unit. the thing is, HDB can only install maximum up to 2 compressors. If you're staying in landed property or maybe some condo, you can install more compressors, so single unit can be used for each of your aircon fancoil. the total cost is more expensive as the installation is higher for single split unit vs multisplit unit. a) multisplit unit system only came out due to space constraint, if there is a choice, of course it's better to use single split for all fancoil, but as I said, the cost is higher. If you want to turn on all fancoil at the same time, the total cooling capacity must be supported by the compressor unit. For example, if you have 3 fancoil that runs at 6KBtu/h, you need a compressor of 18KBtu/h to 20KBtu/h to support all at 1 time, otherwise, you can only turn on 2 of them. In the case of HDB, we got no choice if we need to install 3 to 4 fancoil..... b)wa uhm zai.....Condenser? is it a term used in refrigerator? c)the debate of inverter has been going on and on and what I can say is, if you're a person that support green project and want to protect our earth, yet you want to enjoy aircon, just go ahead to use inverter. If you're looking at cost savings, forget about it, there is almost no return of investment. You need to spend more to save more, so, what's the point? Save the world, dun turn on aircon

roller blind is mainly for office use, but it can't block lights 100% as the edges are not covered...... I'm also looking for 1 to use as a projector screen
