  1. wah, so siong, 1 time extract 4 wisdom teeth! I still have 1 left, no problem yet. All 3 were removed at average interval of 5 years btw Linda, saw you're using KingKoil Silentnight Excelsior, how much is it? got any specs like what's the pillowtop/plushtop, how many springs etc? We are having big headache in sourcing for the right mattress.....
  2. all out, get a contractor who is very familiar with your floorplan and know how to run the piping nicely. get recommendation from neighbours is the best!
  3. sorry ah, loan your thread hehe....what's the difference between pillowtop and plushtop? I thought both are the same.......
  4. I wanted to pay them a visit but didn't make it. Just wanted to find out if any of you bought any mattress from them, before I call them up tomorrow comparing with INGES (Skyciti) lah....
  5. there is no demand for parallel imported PS3, unless the price is extremely cheaper......no point lah, parallel imported stuff only got warranty from the importer u know? getting the machine itself is considered cheap, buying those games are killers.......
  6. brand is just brand, there are different class like Class 1 Class 0 etc some can withstand sunlight and heat, sun can't......so most probably you will have problem after 1 year....when the workmanship warranty expires....
  7. yah, Panasonic is a new player in washing machine, and I dunno why some lame people would think that their children will be so naughty to climb into the front load washing machines......lol front load is not just about using lesser water, it doesn't spoil the clothes so easily too....
  8. hey Linda, 40% discounts for next month? count me in!!!!
  9. Most probably we would settle for the Claremont metal bed frame from Harvey Norman, sick of looking around liaoz....
  10. to me, it doesn't make a difference when the Carribean version is out !!
  11. Panasonic one is dryer + washing machine all in one meh? Dun think they are specialize in washing machine, aircon & TV is good, but still a bit skeptical to buy their washing machine leh.
  12. wait for the one made in Carribean, sure you will save a lot of $$$$.. Sony's standard profit is around 20% plus minus. So I think the cheapest you can get is $640 if you got friend selling PS3 who dun mind not earning you any single cent
  13. DWG your theme is victorian / country / french type? We are also looking for similar bed frame but not really wrought iron lah, good quality metal / alloy is fine with us, the painting part is the most important one..... Laura Ashley has 1 cost $1500, Harvey Norman has another simpler one cost $899, we are still looking for others......very hard to get as there is very tiny market for this kind of bed.....and mostly Malays would buy.
  14. why you dun trust the aircon man anymore? suggest you call up the manufacturer to double verify, they know the installation the best...... my neighbour were complaining about his 2 days old Envio compressor PCB went hairwire.....aircon on non-stop and make the water come out from fancoil........
  15. try cellini, but i dunno if that's considered too expensive for you....but to me, it looks bulky. but hoh....**** shoik leh....the rocking chair lol!
  16. ok guys, stop guessing the diamond water and other filter system. Diamond water is filtered energized water. The Pi water concept came from Japan. Their product is assembled in Taiwan, parts come from various suppliers but mostly first line OEMs, packaged in Malaysia before sending to SG & HK and sell. They do have different models for different country as the water quality is different from place to place. However, although I was their dealer (and I still have stocks to clear if you guys are interested), I have to say, the thing is overpriced. After learning all the technical stuff from diamond, I would prefer to DIY myself hehe....nevertheless, if you dun have so much time to DIY, better pay the pro and get a ready made product. When they sell you like $1800, their cost is around SGD$200 (manufacturing cost). The rest of the profit goes to R&D, advertising, distribution channels and retail dealers' profit. You think this is high? I tell you, OSIM or other brands are worse! Basically energized water (or some call it clustered water molecules) is easier to absorb. The energy is similar to FIR and negative ion that actually energize your cell. The effect vary from people to people. Some feel nothing, some may feel healthier or more energetic, some may encounter mild sickness initially. As for Chlorides and harmful heavy metals etc, any filter system with different types of carbon is able to filter or absorb different levels of harmful materials. The content that is able to "dissolve or wash away" pesticides in vegetables is actually mild content of Calcium ion. The last filter of diamond water actually contain calcium, it is also used to further stabilize the water and prevent us from having calcium lost. Elken is RO water aka pure water, that's meant for MACHINE! human shall not drink pure water, it is unnatural and it will actually take away minerals from your body. Usually only cancer patients are recommended to take pure water in the morning to cleanse their body (coz it is pure, it has nothing, it will grab whatever thing from its surrounding to make itself stable, pure water is very aggressive and unstable). Elken was sued for conducting misleading demo to their potential customers. They used electrode to demo electrolysis and mislead customers that the water is actually not clean. Any primary school student with science knowledge also know that water contain minerals will form oxide if you conduct electricity in the water. They used that stupid demo to mislead customers and trying to make them believe that only PURE WATER is clean. I tell you, if you drink 100% clean water, be ready to die earlier or suffer from lost of minerals. So, please stay away from RO waters unless you have extra money to burn and buy extra supplements to eat. Singapore water is clean, but for people who demand even better quality water, you can consider water filter, but buy a proper one hoh, dun anyhow buy.
  17. The Laura Ashley one caught our attention and it cost $1500 then we saw Harvey Norman has a $999 ($899 after 10% discounts) Claremont metal bed frame from Australia (but I am sure a reasonable price should be around $650 based on their super high 39% additional mark up from their mattresses), something similar to the below: Just wondering is there any place that you know are selling nice, sweet Victorian style metal bed frame?
  18. just got some additional info about Maxcoil & Tempur memory foam mattress. Maxcoil is 90% in density, Tempur is 95%, so see if you want to pay 2-3x more for that 5% additional in density lor....
  19. elchwong, we will be trying seahorse during the weekend. Based on the auntie who served me in Slumberland Gallery just now, foam is considered chemicals, that's why it's hotter than latex (but latex is also HOT too!) Initially I went to Slumberland there trying to find out the exact price for Royal Emerald(Harvey Norman $1799 after discounts, Malaysia $1300 before discounts). To my surprise, they quote me cheaper than Malaysia price($1290 before 15% discounts if dun want bedframe)! That means, Harvey Norman is marking ADDITIONAL 39% from the suggested retail price list. So guys, beware, dun fall into Harvey Norman's trick! Even this showroom do accept credit cards, no GST even after July and still provide all the freegifts you can get, why? coz others get supply from them one! They do not have the Emerald model on display so I tried out other similar models, then I saw this "bio-ceramic" thingy. After some detailed findings, it's actually Far Infra-red Ray. I have been sleeping on such thing and I know how cool it is. Just put your one of your palms on it and the other palm on the other mattress, then see how your palms change in size! hehe... OK, the FIR is not the important part, I further found out Emerald is using 1200 springs only. the higher end models are using 1600 springs and some 3200 springs! So far I find that 1600 springs model suits me most, with the cotton + lamb wool plush on top, it suits my girl as a side sleeper, very firm yet very comfortable. 3200 springs gives me the "sink in" feeling, but i believe some of you would love it coz it's very comfortable (but you may encounter backache.....), and it's the most expensive range. The auntie gives me 15% discounts for taking away the bedframe, so it ends up about $17xx which is even cheaper than harvey norman for the lower range mattress like Emerald. The best part? no GST, no hidden cost, free delivery, and DBS card can pay up to 24 months! Just my short review b4 trying seahorse, dun go blindly for the brand, dun go for cheapest range for those big brands, you will regret! Please get all the specifications right and try it yourself. things like how many springs, what's the materials of the plush top, additional protections or chemical treatments etc then you start sourcing for the best price dealer. I also tried out the 3200 springs with latex plush top, this is my feeling: If you do not on any aircon, latex & memory foam will give you warmer or HOT feeling. Cotton will actually give you cooler feelling. But if you turn on aircon, it will be reverse, meaning Cotton will give you a bit warm feeling, i think this is quite important depends on your taste. Most probably we will go for the cotton and wool plush top model + 1600 springs from Slumberland, coz we got no $$$ to burn for aircon everyday lol......
  20. Tempur is overpriced, dun believe those American talking about all these FOAM MUST BE MADE IN US! FOAMs are supposed to be cheap!
  21. going to try out seahorse diff types of foam mattresses.....heard it's super value for money, but really far "below" our budget lol! water bed, heard the technology is so much better than last time, but I am afraid of rheumatism leh. but I know if I can use diamond water for water bed, it will emit negative ion
  22. okay, negative ion, far infra red ray, and some magnetic related products are basically changing the magnetic field around you. I think if you search along the magnetic fields or electromagnetic area, you should be able to find out why pregnant women and cancer patients are not recommended to use such product INTENSIVELY.....oh yah, children too! I think mainly because these people are not in "stabilize mode" and their health could be easily affected by the magnetic or electromagnetic fields around them. One of the reason why you shall not stay near the power generating room too.... some article I managed to google around.....you go read yourself lah okay? ELECTROMAGNETIC FIELDS AND YOUR HEALTH http://www.direct.ca/trinity/elf.html Another product - Himalayan salt that emits negative ions (look at the final fine print) http://www.chievolution.com/Health/products.php Acutouch theraphy - another thing related to negative ion http://www.genesen.com/html/questions.htm as for the degrading effect, I can challenge them by using measuring tool u know? Are you sure they give you black and white that it won't degrades? Remember, too much of anything will have reverse effect/impact. That's why you shall take things moderately. 物极必反.....
  23. huh? you bought liao ah? Now I recalled, the negative ion and far infra red thingy I bought sometime ago has this line: "Please consult doctor for pregnant women and cancer patients before using." from the articles you found, did they specifically mentioned pregnant women or cancer patients? Or they simply skip these 2 groups of people? It has healing effect for sure, but for these 2 groups of people, it may be a different story. I will get more info for you, now me at Taipei attending Computex lah, just arrived only, give me a bit of time okay?
  24. so $150 if DIY ah? besides wink, is there any other company doing similar stuff? We saw the same newspaper thingy published in their website and wanted to try it out......but the delays of our renovation hold us back.....
  25. declare salary, but cannot disclose business earning ....too much..... later she will crazily shop bags like siaocharbo.....
