it's all about quality vs cost. there are laminate flooring, eg, the highest end engineering wood are more expensive than tiles, or even exceeding the marble price.....

i am not too sure about their price yet, is Mistral more expensive? besides the quality, what about noise level? where can I get Mistral huh? most big stores are selling toyomi leh.

padlock may not be good enough as we changed our main wooden door (given by HDB) to be a V shape(due to fengshui), therefore it gives more rooms for anybody to put both their arms to damage the padlock easily.

forget about group purchase, the time and effort is not justifiable, even all of you are getting exactly the same models and stay next to each other. I heard inverter requires more complex installation, Daikin is a good brand but with poor workmanship (which cheap shops can't offer), be ready to mop all your leaked pipes.....everyday....

eventually I bought a 9 months old dyson DC08 original from somebody. After some cleaning up, it's working like charm. As my new place is still empty, they noise haha...think my neighbours may not be able to take it. It's not just bagless, but also almost filterless.....suction is crazily strong... paid $260 for it

water leakage from outside? the other side of that piece of wall is actually the air u know? where would the water come from? anyway, powerdekor did a great job in redo-ing quite a lot of stuff. the previous installer actually didn't install properly.....

I got a 2nd hand (10 months old) DC08 original yellow from somebody in singaporebrides Everything is intact, just that I need to remove all parts and wash them up, it's d@mn dirty menz......the set was bought in france but it's still made in Malaysia haha. It says cannot wash the cyclone thingy, but I heck care, the dust is just too thick, I simply dip it in the water and shake shake shake....eee.....the thing came out very gross.... HEPA is overhype lah, how do you know your children would kena any allergy or not? Leave them some bacterias to make them stronger!! I have my Envio to protect everybody at the moment hehe...

thanks for the info, not sure if I can attach a HEPA filter to those non-HEPA model. Luckily I got no children yet hehe....hopefully they are not allergy lah, but i think by the time I have children, it could be the time to change a new set hehe..... my renovation is almost done, just like you lor, it's very dusty....that's why need a powerful vacuum cleaner hehe....

I am considering a 2nd hand DC08(bohbian no $$$ sia), seems without the HEPA filter, do you think it's important? currently my Envio from Panasonic is able to do some air filtering lah, just turned on the Patrol function and see how effective is it...... any specific cleaning needed for the filter itself ? really appreciate for the reply.
