  1. haha, i just called them up today also, now waiting for them to give me the price.
  2. samsung got promotion, forgot the model liao, below $500 7kg can get free DVD player somemore lol! if Sharp the holeless tub is what you are looking for, since you can't get daewoo.....can consider it lor, $500+ also for 7kg. that's just the retail price I saw, if you pay by cash, sure can negotiate further, I'm expecting to pay just $400 or lesser for the Sharp alice916, front load in general take at least double the time, that's one of the reason why my wife refuse to use front load, I actually prefer front load maybe just because my home has been using it since young. The sharp one takes about 45 mins to finish in average, according to the sales person. maybe leen can verify this
  3. http://www.singaporebrides.com/forumboard/...html?1182219873 but there were no outcome from the gal. I dun believe mosquito can grow so easily there.
  4. lawry, are you talking about PohJoo? I got my water heater from them too, just a phone call then they deliver liao. Paid full on delivery. But that time because my neighbour also buy lah, so I lompang them.
  5. reply from Panasonic: There is a collector pan behind the fridge. Defrost water will be drained into the pan through the drainpipe. From there, it evaporates into the air. so I dun think it's a problem. Panasonic engineers dun anyhow design things one lah. that collector pan shall not be wet all the time mah. anybody using this fridge mind sharing his/her experience? I find the internal layout is very nicely done. That's why I decided to get this model, but still, hope to hear more feedback.
  6. based on the catalogue given by Best guy, the annual power consumption for B402V is around 621kWh, that translate to $9.77, so yearly will be $117.24, but the tarrif now is 20.52¢/kWh, so 621kWh is $127.4292, that works out to be $10.6191 I'm actually quote worrying about the uncovered back side, or Panasonic actually put in additional cover for the new batches?
  7. lawry, just curious, why are you getting from them all these while? are their price "unbeatable"?? I need to get my washer and fridge this week menz... btw, leen, do you actually go down 1 by 1 and check of just talk to them over the phone?
  8. It's about $200 more expensive compared to the samsung one, slightly smaller but it's more convenient to use as the freezers are located at the bottom. anybody using it? where do you buy from? the price is still stupidity high @ $999.....at Best Denki. 395 liter. somebody in singaporebrides forums mentioned about the back wasn't covered and it could be a breading ground for mosquitoes......
  9. leen, we went down to best denki and the 7.5kg Sharp model cost about $518, it's surprisingly cheap and it comes with the water filter on top of the holeless tub too. My wife was fine and we decided to drop the more expensive panasonic model which doesn't come with Ag+ too.....I'm going to ask around for the cheapest price, if it doesn't make much diff, I would probably take up their 36 months installment hehe....sometimes, cash is not the king but you know what? when I told my mum I'm going to buy a top load model.....she got a shocked, and asked why I didn't buy electrolux that comes with warm water lah, this and that lor, but the 5kg model we are using at home cost as much as $800!! but she said european brand can last very long, 15years and above woh.....i think the old fashion people (they probably never know what is nano and what is Ag+ hehe) would not accept the earth friendly invention hehe..... lawry, why shall you afraid of such case? there is no binding contract (unless he recorded down the conversation of "ordering") so you have no obligation to buy from him. Let him gaodim himself lah. Even if he recorded down, since you haven't paid anything, you have no obligation to purchase from him too mah. Often we hear people paid deposit liao want to change cannot, but your case really nothing lah, just ignore him lor.
  10. leen, thanks for the long explanation, but hey! you're changing my mind now lol! U know what? the holeless tube seems to be an exclusive "invention" from Sharp. I can't seem to find such thing in other washer...... No more warm water needed! now is the era of Ag+ ! with the nano technology available, it makes almost everything very cheap to produce! Silver ion is used in many brands, especially the Korean and Japanese brand as it's supposed to kill bacteria and prevent them from growing, so in a way, you save electricity lor. I'm going to review the washer purchase again! But Sharp is not a very popular brand. Actually I kinda of regretting for not going for its aircon, the Envio negative ion seems not as superior as Sharp plasmacluster.....
  11. dun get conned by those funny "branded" shops lah. the "extended" warranty is only from them, kind of insurance thingy. the moment they close shop, your warranty become blank paper liao hehe.... get ONLY distributor/manufacturer warranty. but heck, where got people get such warranty for washing machine one? they are just trying to upsale you buying more papers only......yes, I call "insurance" paper......
  12. went to Courts Tampines Megastore, surprisingly they dun carry both Hitachi and Sharp.....wasted our trip there, but now we got Samsung come into the list lol. Going down to Best Denki GreatWorldCity to check them out again...... my Queen focus a lot on the inner compartment.....she wants very spacious compartments in between the layers. this is something missing from all famous brand like Mitsubishi, Fisher and even Panasonic etc. Think our budget is set at around $800 plus minus liao.
  13. decided to go for top load panasonic lol! cheap cheap.....$400+ now need to finalize the fridge selection then can go cheong all the abengz shops for good price liao!
  14. yah lah, no 100% one coz most of the time, it's due to "user problem" lol! those people are called the baby boomers.....now applicable for the time now. They are already in the early 60s.
  15. why not you ask your ID to show u the diff?
  16. just curious, are those european brands like Bosch taking its own sweet time to wash? Asian brands faster?
  17. jialat, wife complaining it's very heavy to use lol! but overall quite okay lah. I think its power really helped a lot in cleaning our post renovated house....
  18. well, the main doors are designed to block fire lah, so if you change the direction, it may lead to higher risk when there is a fire. simple as that.
  19. that's what I was trying to put across....but people here seems ignoring that serious post hehe.... what you think, or what you did, may not be suitable to others. now is not like our parents' time, where you can just simply give birth liao then see how. Government no longer safeguard your HDB flat when you can't afford to pay, your jobs are getting more and more demanding, living expenses are rising like crazy and faster than your pay rise.... So, please do your own planning, dun have "fun" just for the sake of it. Later you want to cry also tear cannot come out then u know hehe....
  20. hey dude, are you my pri + uni classmate?
  21. alamak, $3 diff is not justifiable. You have to take into consideration of the transport cost she's saving leh. tell her if she dun offer $650 for your fridge, you will buy from everjoint mah.
  22. actually based on my experience, National is still the most solid fan maker.....but SG seems to be out liao. Panasonic also focusing more on aircon instead of fan....sianz.... $90 for Mistral is quite reasonable, coz toyomi also cost about there leh.
  23. there are people reported that higher spinning speed doesn't really make the cloth dry-er but damaging the clothes further.....
  24. maybe you guys shall consider changing the door direction based on your bazi. we just got ours altered, about 30 degree diff from the original one. so not facing to my neighbour's door anymore hehe...
