  2. Has everyone faced the problem of having the stove fire blown out by the hood? I'm using one single-type stove and slimline hood (not even a chimmey hood) I have my gas open to full and my stove fire to the max and still happening Now I can only cook without switching on the hood. Any advice?
  3. I regret I did not see this post earlier. Our tragedy just happened last week. Similarly, we were brought to them by our ID from iM@ge Cre@tive I bought 20 T5 4ft at $38 each and 18W downlight at $65 each. We thought we can trust our ID for the shop he recommended but we later found out the Shop just opposite are selling the same T5 for $20 and same DL model for $42 negotiable some more. More research along Baslertier Rd showed that the price can be even lower. Our lost is nearly $1000 !!! We F*K our ID and confront Singapore Lighting directly demanding to cancel the deal. I told my ID we are willing to go as far as to CASE and collect evidences from other shop along Balestier Rd to prove that Singapore Lighting is seriously over charging. In the end, he offered to be the peacemaker and willing to absorb our lost. we settle for some reno-work F.O.C. This should be on sticky to prevent more tragedies.
  4. Hi Guys I am thinking how can I manage the shoes of our guests better - from taking them off, storing, to wearing them back. The popular straight forward solution is to place a stool/seat outside house. The guests just take off their shoes before entering. The shoes can keep outside or the guests have to take them inside the house. When leaving, they just use the seat outside to put on their shoes. My idea is to have a purely indoor solution. My HDB house have a long indoor foyer after the front door. A section of the foyer just after the door would be cut out for taking off/placement/wearing of shoes. That section would be slightly lower than the rest of the foyer and with seating area. This solution won't leave messy shoes outside your house and save the trouble of taking shoes in and out of the house. But my ID is against the idea because it not nice in design perspective. Can I have your opinion guys? Do you prefer to do your shoes thing inside or outside your/someone house or it don't really matter?
