Pai Seh.. Pai Seh.. been too busy and tight up .. that's why MIA for long time.. Time just move super fast!! Yet there are still so many things need to work on it.. Moving house and doing up a new house is really 'Siong'.. Here I am trying to upload the photos. Urm.. not very good photo skills..but better than nothing to see la ..haha! Will start with the original state of house..

Hi, To reply you.. Nope, we didn't install Citygas water heater in the end. Heard feedback from others that it's not good as there is need to use batteries.. sharing that need to replaced batteries very often turn up to be more expensive in the end.. some more got gas smell whenever it is on.. Personally never use so can't really comment from real experience on this. Decided to drop this cos we recieve gift of 1 set of instand heater.. so not to waste it nor spend too much and reduce further hassle of running the piping for storage heater.. we decided to use instand heater for both bathrooms instead, so only need to buy 1 set.

Just some quick update on the 'amazing race' with both my side and my dear renovator.. Yesterday when I went up to the new house, the electrician has done the wiring already.. Have made arrangement that electrician comes 2 times ie 1st time to do up the wiring, 2nd time to install the light. Likewise, the aircon arrangement next Mon will do the piping till the tail end of renovation then install the aircons. As for painting, the renovator has arranged the 1st base coat to be paint on next Tue..before Laminate flooring done up. And 2nd & 3rd coat after laminate flooring done up. Reason given ..gosh.. been so forgetful... can't recall what he told me..should sound convincing then..something like paint work will be more complete and better.. as I was trying check with him any possibility to do all painting first then the laminate flooring as I fear that the paint will drip..then the renovator also assured that they will ensure flooring are covered properly then paint the wall.. Need to inform the renovator what are the paint colors we have finalised by this TODAY!!.. Target to have the laminate flooring for the rooms done by next week.. Window grills installation after all the above done. Gosh yesterday was the mad rush to shop for the lightings..has walked from one end to the other end of Balestier haha..but finally got it all purchased..yea! Achieved that within 4hours!! But forgot to get door bell, and realised that we bought extra 1 light.. Think need to settled the extra light on TODAY for exchange of other things.. I really dont like to do things in tight schedule and in mad rush.. but too bad.. time is not at our side.. Now can only do my utmost best within my limits.. really xiong and tiring.. Gosh! Packing the whole house alone really a big chore.. backache..

Ya.. been in mad rush all this while.. yet to be able to organised to upload pictures..haha.. Will sure upload when have more breather of time ; ) By the way, been started to pack the whole house .. throw away lots of those old time cassette, video nice collection.. heart pain.. anyway hard to find player to play these these day..

Haiz.. nobody respond nor advise on this.. I have tried to contact companies that does upholstery..despite the slogan is to save the Earth do not throw your sofa away.. The general feedback I gathered is why not buy their new sofa set? As upholstery is about the same or higher price as getting a new sofa?!!? Another one I ask how about just do the sofa cover ie no re-upholstery? The minimal quote I get is 1k!! Really not sure anyone here ever tried and get better pricing? And is there any possibility to DIY??

Hi, Really impress about your sharing here : ) V useful for newbie like me haha.. Just to check painting has done after the completion of tiling, wiring, aircon piping.. Wait a min, so painting should done before or after laminate flooring,installation of windows &window grills?

Don't think I will publish the name here at this juncture.. unless this company complete the work with good workmanship and it is worth recommending or definitely I hope not.. the total reverse.. Therefore, at this premature stage seems a bit inappropriate. Hope you understand : ) All I can share here is this contractor/company is not in any of this T-blog , Renotalk forum.. as I also can't find it when I was trying to do research of this contractor/company. Anyway, this contractor already shared that mine is the last project he will accept till he finishes some projects on hand. ie He will only accept new project when he got sufficient bandwidth and manpower.

Hi Kaori, Thanks for drop by here : ) So your curtains.. are meant for what and how many? I need lots of curtain stuffs.. at least for all rooms windows + balcony blind + all doors + etc.. Er.. for acid wash and paint.. for me.. it's within the renovator service .. unless he didn't deliver satisfactory service then will need to engage seperately with immediate action.. ie plan B.. which I'd yet to source. 诚心的感谢大家的帮助! Thanks for the help,sharings and advises Yes, finally finalised the renovator. Will share my experience with this renovator here from time to time.. This week is super hectic. Before even we signed on dotted line and pay deposit but just with verbal confirmation, the renovator is already in action !! eg apply permit, charting out the schedules. And over the weekends, already run through with him on the Electrical Work. ie what point to shift, what point to add, SCV,TV, power point, power switch, etc ~ (exactly what I have put up the electrical requirement earilier in my blog)..To my suprise, that it is indeed what he'd promised that it's no extra cost. To be frank, initially I thought of getting another electrical vendor as this renovator shared that no need to specify the details.. sharing that all will be absorb in SGD900 package. .I was abit skeptical then.. and already plan to engage Electrician seperately. So indeed there is no jet up of price .. sound like a buffet thingy. He also join in the meeting with air-con vendor and myself to run through how the pipe should run .. Advise when the air-con should come to install etc. And he also order our selected tiles and have it delivered to the new house!! No doubt that some his charges are higher.. and he didn't want to give discount further.. So far seems like he is really rendering the good services here.. hope he really prove us right that we have chosen him as our best finalist haha.. Well, still feel very uneasy without getting the contract signed..though it's now purely base on trust. The documents just need to do refinement ..but the renovator said usually his quotation is very simple not so details as he don't want to spend so much time in paperwork but action and delivery is the key. Now he said he leave it to me to type out the details description, T&C and quotation (he'd provided me a very simple quotation). The last I'd put up here is actually the draft prepared by me base on my limited knowledge and understanding after the discussion with the renovator.

Err.. just to share that the quote has now revised to SGD 22625 as I have also cut alot by remove carpentary from the list as well as decided to source laminate/parque flooring for the rooms seperately .. therefore, the quote here doesn't include flooring for rooms.. Do you think the price reasonable? Dont want to be the carrot head.. haha

Yes, you didn't miss reading it.. there is no hacking involved.. as I need it to be ready by end Dec09. SO decided not to have any hacking : )

Finalising the Quotation Base on the floorplan dimension The flooring for bedrooms and study room is not included as would like to source seperately for laminate/parquet. Has cut down lots of carpentary. Price reasonable??
