I am looking to buy a non-built in oven. The one that you can put on the counter-top kind. I would use it mainly for cooking like macaroni cheese, etc. And also for light baking (I would only bake my favourite cheesecake and tiramisu). Any suggestion for which one I should go for?

Paint Color For Each Wall For 4rm Flat [south Facing Door]

You are asking a very ambiguous question. A FSM needs to check the location directly and match with the bazi of the owners to give a correct recommendation. You better check with a FSM. -
Recommendations For Marble Floor Polishing
ngunadi replied to vinaip's topic in Ceiling, Walls and Flooring Works
How about the quality of work? Will the marble really shine again? -
I am advised to buy a wind chimes with 4 solid iron rod. It's not the usual one that you can find which is hollow or using stainless steel. Anyone know where to buy?

@samgalz Thanks for the info. I have thought hard for my kitchen. This is the possible arrangement for my kitchen zones. Ideally, I have another counter top + full height cabinet to store my food (cabinet-pantry) and to put my electric kettle, microwave and oven (for light baking). Due to budget constraint, I think it's for other time. Now, I would just make use with what we have.

Most probably for music, movies and games. I am not so keen to have surround speakers because it's a bit troublesome to put the rear speakers. Would it better to use a separate system or a box system? I am thinking to get amplifier and 2 speakers first then slowly add the sub-woofer and center speaker.
-
Hi Phantom, Slight digress, I am thinking to setup simple and good entertainment system in my future house. Preferable, 2 speakers + sub + centre speaker. Should I buy amplifier ? Any recommendation ? Hopefully can get a value-for-money setup.

Yeah, if can not, most probably we would not tilt the door also. I will check this with my contractor

If you're planning to consult FSM, you might as well make an appointment with the seller so your FSM can audit and maybe your potential contractor to view and get the "feel" of the house. Otherwise, like us, our plan has to be changed totally after FSM recommendation

Coool. Congrtas on your first project.

Sigh ... Another setback. The 2nd appointment would be delayed until 09/03. This is due to seller unable to settle any outstanding amount with HDB. However, I still request for seller to move out on 01/03 and get the keys for HO on the same day. I would also ask him to sign for the HDB Renovaton Permit application. So, at least on 09/03 I could start the renovation. (Otherwise, I don't think we could sign as the flat is not legally ours yet.) The HDB should have done their homework and ensure all the payments arrears settled on the 1st appointment.

When the window blows and turn off the fire, the stove would automatically cut down the gas supply.

I spoke to the ikea assistant, he said the hinge is blum but it's the 2nd class one. Don't know it's true or not

@tracy I haven't got back the quotation from my contractor yet. The cost of LG solid surface starts from $100 per foot run.

(1) S/S Bracket is Stainless steel bracket to mount the compressor outside your unit. If you're replacing current one, you might already have such bracket and don't need to buy new one. (2) Does it include the installation? (3) the model number s not as important as the power of the indoor unit. You need to find out what's the power of indoor unit, eq .. 9000/12000/18000/24000 BTU. The price difference between each class is substantial. (4) I think R22 is the older gas model, you should opt for new one. (5) Any upgrade of insulation and copper piping?

Back to reno work mode now @wizi I agree, the balcony is such a small space and it's really silly. Anyway, we decided to bring them in as part of the living room due to relayout. @ossify We definitely not going to get ID. My wife has a degree in architect and she would be the ID I think I would consider Eubiq due to cost issue

I have not confirmed my contractor yet. Maybe I should engage you as well
