  1. Harmony The harmony in your family. With great health, without harmony, you can't enjoy living. With great career, without harmony, go home also don't feel want to go home. With lots money, without harmony, life feels empty. With harmony, even when you sick or poor, you can still appreciate life.
  2. Wow ... totally no space. I think you shoudl ask Edmund to custom-made for you a knife tray. Should be quite cheap <$50 and you get the exact size for all your knives (add scissor and some other stuff also)
  3. Cool ... waiting for the result
  4. Wah .. don't tempt me. Now, I also want to get one from Robinsons. Or, maybe you can ask Edmund to make for u and u pay him bah. Now ... I wonder whether I should go to robinsons city hall today
  5. It's 50cm x 20cm. I think 50cm is abit long for common drawer length.
  6. The book mentioned about roads as "virtual-water". At same time, mentioned the negatives if the house is "under" the shadow of fly-over with/without fast-traffic. Don't know LRT is considered slow or fast traffic. But if the house is "higher" than the fly-over it's actually good, though I can't imagine the dust. Telok Belangah is under the mount faber "supposed" to be good, but it depends whether it's "good" or "bad" mountain and also depends on the formation of surroundings? Maybe the fly-over near pasir panjang is detrimental for the whole area? Actually for Dakota Residence & Waterbank, I am not convinced that the river presence is good, cuz the water is "dirty" and "not moving" ?? If looking for river, maybe punggol latest BTO is good? Studying all these is quite fun. Haha
  7. I bought a FS book for Homebuyers - Exterior from Library book sale for just $2. Quite cheap so can't resist. Don't know whether it's useful or not. I have been reading abit over the weekend, it seems this Joey Yap is a classical fengshui master kind. In some part, he mentioned, in Classical FS, color does not really matter. Important thing is the placement of the items. Anyway, this book puts more emphasize on the exterior, the "mountain" and "water" of the surroundings. Which is good cuz it would help you to "decide" whether a property is good or not. The book is also realistic that it can't teach you "everything" on how to choose the location. Its aim is a modest one. Help you to weed out the "bad/unsuitable" property list to just 2 or 3, then you consult the FSM. The interior of the house is covered by another book (or rather, can always just consult the same FSM). So maybe, color really doesn't matter in FS if we just think of "collecting" chi Although the color affects us on another way (psychology).
  8. If I remember correctly, this is actually a new product from IKEA. Last time, I also didn't see it in Tampines. But before you made same mistake as me, better measure your drawer length first. or you want to borrow mine before I refund it?
  9. For people looking for knife rack This is the one i bought from IKEA for $30. Too bad, I need to refund it cuz it's too long for my drawer
  10. Let me contribute to non-poison or actually poison around you. http://missvickie.com/resources/cookware/1teflon.html "If you do use (non-stick) cookware, don't let it sit on the burner for long before adding food. Doing so may permit the temperature to rise high enough to emit chemical fumes. Avoid cooking at high temperatures with nonstick cookware. Use low to medium temperatures instead. And don't forget to keep your pet birds out of the kitchen."
  11. Common sayings say that "when open door shouldn't see the window, else all your wealth go to the window" So, is that based on FS or just common saying? Cuz this is the case of Juspink layout. ps: i have been reading the math for chinese calendar. So cheem, need to get just the gist.
  12. Completely agree. Need to ask, what's the point? Life is short, focus on the important issues.
  13. Yes, the person installed the curtain rail for me also.
  14. IKEA utensils are relatively "expensive" and doesn't give a nice feeling to hold. Rather invest on a good ones that can last for years. Though currently we are surviving with $12++ for 1 set, bought from carrefour. Waiting to buy good ones
  15. Let me add few things - Is changing lock part of ID's service? - Is supervising your items part of ID's service? If I am wearing many jewelries and go to the slum and being robbed, whose fault? Of course it's the robber's fault. But again, why am I inviting troubles? Now, if I am inside the taxi and I'm being robbed because taxi driver never lock the door (despite your warning), whose fault? Robber? Taxi driver? Qn: - why never lock the car's door yourself? - cuz you are passenger, are you expecting this service from the driver? You are alright to expect certain things from the ID, but don't you think you ask too much?
  16. Agree. The pace of TV technology is advancing very fast. No point to spend to the latest tv for now. I consider the pace between each tech: 1. CRT 2. Plasma TV 3. LCD TV 4. LED TV 5. TV +3D From stage 3 onwards, the pace is less than 6 months. Meaning your tv would be "obsolete" in 6 mths even if you buy the latest one. For now, I'd rather go to the "cheapest" with full-hd. In 3 years time, upgrade to better one. Maybe in 3 yrs, there would be - full-hd - 3D without glasses - pay-per-tv/internet built-in with wifi - link with your handphone - detect your motion, so can change channel with your hand movement (no remote control) - voice control for tv - read e-books - filter the air so you breathe clean air while watching tv - clean your house - wash dishes - what else? at least detect motion and voice control are probable. As proven my microsoft kinect box.
  17. Wow ... i love your wooden furniture and also the mirror in your dining room. Until I went to the john erdos web and saw the price :P
  18. Wow ... now I know why you keep going in-out of the kitchen entrance previously. It's really so small. Hacking the wall is a good move. The balcony size is similar as mine last time. It's "useless". Flushing in with the hall would be better. Now I feel I have know your house already ... haha
  19. Nice modifications there. I never really considered the lighting issue for the kitchen. On the hindsight, I should though maybe nothing much can be done. - Have been checking several nurseries near jalan kayu or kovan. Still can't find the suitable granite bench yet. - My wife is not keen on ceiling fans, she said it would give her "headache" and "enter wind"(don't know suitable english translation for this). So, bo pian.
  20. Actually, Master Chang asked, who usually cook. And since I'm the one who is usually cook, my wife is advised not to be in the kitchen when I cook. And since the door is glass/transparent, Master Chang asked to put dark film. Maybe the fire would affect my wife hence need to have protective film?
  21. - Talk nicely to the cashier - Item is the cheapest one so managed to do it
  22. Poison king is resting before spreading the next poison I think I should buy the John Boos chopping board then spread the poison to all of you ANyway, I managed to buy paring knife at OG for $9 w/o having $50 purchase. Muahahahaha
