  2. The appliances are not approved in Singapore. To be used in singapore, need to pass some certifications thing.

  8. Not exactly import. I went to Bali for fren's wedding, then went around with couple of frens who hunting for furniture. Then itchy hand to buy this piece of wood. I also think need some support between the legs, like the "spider legs" for windows to hep to reinforce. Diameter should be around 50 cm. This one is not very big, so hopefully not too obstructing. If it's too obstructing, then I proceed to sell it off here to the forums Can't use as chopping board, too heavy and big to move around (during cleaning). It's around 10 over kg. True true ... long weekend is coming, good time to start from somewhere to DIY this
  9. Eh ... only realize the thread now. I never setup that one. No budget yet. Maybe in future with cheap iPad can do this
  10. Kitchen cabinets leg might be enough. Yet to scout IKEA for the legs. The picture in the post shows the "ugly" side of the wood. Bought it from indon, it's around $50/piece Wood very big, thick and heavy. I don't think the ikea ones can handle more than 10 kg?
  11. It's very heavy. So if i DIY, i worry: 1. Break the leg 2. The leg position is not correct and the table not stable and hit someone's feet hence, if possible i try to engage "pro"
  12. I recently bought 2 piece of woods for my coffee table http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1383/514199...f4b8644a3_b.jpg My plan is to: 1. Buy the legs from IKEA (or any other option) 2. Ask carpenter to help to install the leg Question: which carpenter can i used? Some carpenter told me that they don't accept this kind of job ... if I have to do it myself, without any experience, is it possible?
  13. Agree so much. From experience, by right should consult fsm when look for house. inside the house "possible to diy". Unfortunately, not practical. Looking for house is longer than consult for home. How to consult fsm? EVen worse, when I was looking for house, need to make decision immediately. Need to bid within that hour. I don't even have time to think whether the house is good for me, how to consult fsm?
  14. My running shoes got stolen. Now I only put slippers outside the house. PS: Master Chang saw the previous owner's tall shoe rack and he told me it's a NO-NO.
  15. The best practical solution ever in FS related topics. *thumbs up*

  18. Let me try to recall the ones i remember off hand: - If you rear fishes and one day and the fish died, it means you supposed to have some calamity but the fish has sacrificed itself and died on your behalf. - How to activate the "love corner" in your house. Feng shui speaking, there is no such thing as "love corner". Only have areas that is able to support the human relationship. Let me dig some more
  19. I borrowed from library and finished the book in 2 days. In general, the book is about the "myth" in fengshui and the "logic" behind it. Quite interesting.

  21. Yeah, it's new cabinet. It's few months already but still like that. I think i will try to open the cabinet and put pandan there.
  22. Whenever I open my cabinets under the stove, my eyes feel hurt (and this is not only me). But it's confirm not gas leak because I have called citygas and they came to check with tools and whatever, totally no leaks at all. I suspect there is something between the cabinet wall to the kitchen wall. And since there is a gas pipe opens up, there is a hole (or gap) in this wall. And from this "hole", there is some gas emitting. But what can it be?? Should I just leave it? If i want to fix it, how? Open the whole cabinet? :S
  23. Avoid the contractor as plague. It's obvious that contractor wants to "cut" you.
