Well ... I think your kitchen layout is just nice. You can have a U-shape kitchen. You also can have a kitchen island in the middle.

Wow ... now ossify has become contractor. ps: bro ... can PM me your electrician's number ?

And another important note. They provide installment with 0% interest if you have UOB, Maybank or diner. You only need to pay 5% by cash.

Instant Water Heater Or Drum Heater
ngunadi replied to kelvintan81's topic in Electronics & Electricals
It takes around 20 minutes to warm it up ler http://www.joven-electric.com/product_elec.../horizontal.asp -
I think why this is not allowed because of the loading factor of the kitchen area. If you use cement, the kitchen area would be too heavy and exceed the designated loading factor. Your id might have done it many times and didn't have any problem. But, you should be on the safe side, if there is a problem, who would be responsible?

Thanks for the info. Hopefully, I can reno my place lower than your budget because we are not doing any kitchen cabinets.

The bennington water heater seems a compelling solution. Has anyone else tried this? -
Lowest Cost To Convert Balcony

Yes, I am considering laminate too. I hope it doesn't look ugly when there's difference between the marble and laminate flooring. -
I wanted to have Gigabit LAN @ my home but decided against it. If I am hosting a home server with many big contents for the rest of the house, I would need gigabit. Since I would be mainly use for internet and the maximum speed of broadband in Singapore is still stuck in 100 mbps, what for? I can use wifi. Even if they have faster connection (with opennet) i doubt the price would be cheap. And I would still be using the cheapest option and wifi would be good enough.

Nice WC. Would be using that one too

From the article: The Scope For years my wife has been on at me to put a computer into the kitchen where she can manage her recipes, shopping lists, to do lists and access the internet for looking up various things. After looking at a couple of pretty basic and well overpriced commercial units we decied to have a crack at doing this ourselves. Her requirements: - must be discrete and look like a digital picture frame when not being used. - must be touchscreen. - must have internet access. - must be easy to use and not crash often (shes used to windows vista) - must have barcode scanner for managing her kitchen database. - the wires and techo stuff must be hidden and out of sight. - should be able to view whats on the lounge TV in the kitchen. http://www.studio-lights.com/blog/iphone-i...en-computer.htm

Wow a nice place ... I assume it's condo because although he's in construction line but he didn't mention HDB license nor he is a HDB contractor.

We have this balcony with 1.5 x 3m area size. Currently, there's only grill and glass door without glass window. We are thinking to convert this area to be part of the living room and become study area. So, we're thinking use different flooring, laminates or other thing. What would be the cheapest options to convert this are? How much would it be ? The balcony picture

I think he's using floorplanner.com

I love your layout very much.

Currently, we are deciding whether we need to redo the balcony and bring it in as part of living room. We are thinking to redo it because 1. It's unused space. If we don't renovate, we can not image what we can do with that space. Gardening? 2. It would become dirty since there is no glass window. Water and dust would collect there. If we don't do it, it's because: 1. Save cost. It costs almost $1.5k for tiles and casement window just for small area. Is it worth it? 2. When it rains, we can let the glass door open and let the wind comes in so the living room is not stuffy. It seems, more reasons to redo the balcony but is there any way to do it cheaper or any other point that we didn't think of ?

I see. I am in the same predicament as you. Mine would start around beginning of march. We might opt for another brand/model

Of Alumin Bi-fold Door with PVC Panel at 02 toilet area. 400 3 To apply for Renovation Permit. Total $18280 My thoughts: 1. We find this quotation is acceptable.Although we would like to have some items to be FOC. 2. We would not do any Living/Dining works also. Too expensive and can wait. 3. Might not to do kitchen work also. 4. Should I not change the balcony? 5. We would like to get the tiles directly from Lian Sen Hiang, so i think he should just supply the labour work. 6. He never includes the windows casement for balcony. 7. Electrical + lightning are still excluded.
