  1. The water tap is a very efficient water tap and that's why it's giving the problem And we don't have any water pressure problem in either common toilet or any other place of the home. So, I suspect, it's the tap (as what my contractor told me also)
  2. Current tap is a tall one bought from GR Link around $70-80... max budget shd be ard $100++ Very upset with the tap, it's making the whole sink not usable.
  3. If you're going for any other shopping, can you help to scout for tall tap? I need to change my MBR tap. The water output is very pathetic
  4. If you are a wok person and wants a big fire, you should consider rinnai inner flame. It comes with a higher price tag. You can see the review here http://renovation-greencoal.blogspot.com/2...ology_1156.html For me, I opt for the cheaper version, Fujioh spiral flame. The fire is definitely very strong.
  5. S&C are delivering and installing my table now. Too bad can not see it. But my mother said, the wooded table finishing is not very good. :( I better take a good look tonight and scrutinize every angle.
  6. Actually, there is some reflection from the backsplash. But assuming a height of a shortie like me, when using the top, my eyes level is still higher than the pelmet. I won't be able to see the backsplash immediately, hence I won't see the reflection. So it's still ok. I am trying to visualize how do I do an overlap .... If I want to do overlap, I might need a connector for the lights, which I don't have.
  7. Anyone know the price for EZ Lift? I am more keen on this one. So no need to worry to bring the clothes in when it's raining.
  8. Thanks man ... the light has no cover. The cover would be only for the wires.
  9. Yeah, just realized, I am having starhub kitchen ... Initially I want to use the T5 light across the cabinet but ... the problems are 1. The kitchen cabinet length is around 165-175 (nvr really measure) 2. The T5 lights are only available in 502mm or 902mm. So, I bought the 902mm, the other extra 902mm can not be used. I want to make it to switch, going to talk to my electrician who is coming this saturday. They suppose to open 1 phone line for me.
  10. The contractor can put an extra metal support which act as spine exactly where the cabinet would be. At least that what would happen if the feature wall is made of gypsum. The gypsum would not be able to withstand the load anyway ...
  11. A feature wall doesn't mean for LCD to be mounted right? A feature wall is a different set of wall for decoration or accent?
  12. Erm ... i think you really don't understand ... http://www.talkingcock.com/html/lexec.php?...ha=L&page=1 Search for the LL The literal meaning is too vulgar. It means to have no other choice.
  13. Yeap, the Z-Bar LED can wait. Wallet already got big holes after reno. I agree, I can always change the downlight bulb if it's too dark. No need, you still have to turn on the main kitchen light. The main kitchen light is to provide general lighting for the kitchen. While this one is task lighting, it's to provide light when you are preparing the food. It's not difficult to change the tube. The light is mounted on a railing, can detach the light to change with a new tube.
  14. Anyone know where to buy the original or "cheaper" version of this clock ? http://www.gnr8.biz/product_info.php?products_id=914 http://www.ladiesgadgets.com/the-superb-bu...nne-philippson/
  15. Yes, a thick place mat/coaster will do. But difficult to find bah
  16. Welcome to RT. The house is very much in good condition. I don't think you need to reno alot?
  17. I think option 3 is quite nice. Are you going to do concealed wiring for your tv? It would look even nicer.
  18. It's the ultimate kiasu. The oven has a rubber leg. However, i worry that the rubber leg does not elevate the oven high enough and the heat from the oven would affect my solid top. As you know, solid top is quite prone to heat.
  19. My fren helped me to buy from chinatown so I also don't know the exact shop. I guess, you have to walk along those streets to find out.
  20. I love the kitchen area ... so nice. Btw, I heard from my FSM, it's not good to have shoe cabinet higher than the persons staying inside. And since the shoes cabinet is full height ? hmm ..
  21. Haiz ... all places in my house except for kitchen, toilet and bomb shelter are using warm white. I'm still worry the house is not bright enough I guess I need a good table lamps. Those LED Z-bar/I-bar is so expensive.
  22. Your kitchen would have different color/theme, is it ok? Actually for all furniture and house, everything also need to maintain. The problem is how much effort you want to spend to maintain it. like El Nino said, even for black tops, you need to be careful. For granite, you need to be careful of water stain. No perfect counter top one... Even with silestone/quartz top.
  23. It's definitely one of the must-have improvements. And not to mention it's cheap to add. Remember, the light should be day-light bulb not warm white one.
  24. I am using LG. I think it's between $100-100/pfr. Corian would be around $140/pfr. My contractor told me not to go for Corian cuz it's too exp and there's no significance difference with LG. While LG and cheap one, there is. For me, I'd like to take the middle ground If it's $140/pfr, might as well go for granite already.
