  1. Hi Kopi, I am getting it as a package from Asia Excel (Desmond). Total damage $1.3K for Delizia 519 hood & Rinnai RB-3SS(GB) hob. Also getting the Rinnai oven so will be negotiating with him for better pricing. Planning to go down tmrw to cfm my purchase. If you are interested we can go down at same time to group-buy and should have better bargaining power..
  2. Hi Kopi, actually they did advertise in today's paper. I just saw it. The sale will be going on for this and next weekend only. I was there after work today. Quite a lot of ppl there. Saw New's hob and still selling at same price $438. Decided to get a glass top Rinnai RB3SS(GB) finally so did not pickup anything there. If I am not wrong, the depth should have a min standard that should house most hob.
  3. Swee la! tuababy! I was just planning my shopping trip for today after work and saw your reply. The best thing is my work place in changi so I will passby Loyang. I will go check this out. Thank you so much! You guys are really superb!
  4. paisay la New.. hope you do not need to create hyperlink in yoru signature that says "HOW MUCH IS MY SMEG HOB"
  5. Thanks coffee_o! Next time buy you kopi_o!!! eh....I must say that is really a out of the world buy. I called up SMEG and they quoted me S$1499 for the same hob + wait for 2 months. Then I guess me and my family have to bbq everyday until hob is aailable..
  6. Hi New, care to share how much you paid for the hob? I called up SMEG to check on the price -- not cheap lor. Was told need to wait for 2 months after ordering. They indent from Japan.
  7. Hi anyone able to share some views on the 2 models? Rinnai KATANA Delizia 519 Any feedback is appreciated.
  8. Hi newnyew, I am going for my HDB 1st appt on next Thur (15/10) and will collect key from seller the next day 16/10 (agreement with seller). As this Sat is Deepavali (17/10) the reno will only start on following Mon 19/10 and target to complete by 3/11. Have very tight timeline of 2 weeks + for reno before I hand over my current place to my buyer. Sadly because of this I am unable to change the floor tiles so have to live with it le. I saw all your house with very nice floor tiles... This week I am camping in RenoTalk as I am sourcing for kitchen appliances. Need to provide the measurement to ID soon. A lot of anxiety.....
  9. Hi neighbour mumu & newnyew, glad to make some friends even before moving into new home. I am staying at #15 but facing the big field. Like the openess and hope they will not do anything to change the landscape. My layout very similar to yours. Only difference by mirror image (left and right thingy). I am planning to get a 3 seater sofa for my living. Have been going ard hunting for 1 for past weeks. FC seems to have a few nice sofa as I read here. Will check them up this weekend. Incidentally the 403 cluster share very rhyme nick lor...got Mumu, Newnyew, muakmuak...haha...
  10. Now is my turn to source for hood, hob and oven. After settled on the model i wanted, did my usual price benchmarking and realised that asia excel actually gives the best price as compared to Goh Ah Bee. Saves $100+ as compared. So fellow RT friends, do your research wisely for best savings. Oh btw I am contemplating between these 2 hoods (Rinnai KATANA & Delizia 519). Anyone using KATANA? care to share how's the performance? And how does it look like with top kitchen cabinets build next to it?
  11. Hi mumu, care to share how much you paid for your sofa? i am looking for 1 leather sofa but similar design like yours.
  12. Hi everyone, went to Asia Excel today and saw this promotion package of $1199 for the 2 items: Rinnai RH-KATANA (hood) Rinnai RB-3SS (GB) (hob) Is this a good deal? Anyone using the KATANA hood? How's its suction power? I trying to figure out how it looks like between my top kitchen cabinet as the designer is less conventional. If anyone got a picture, would appreciate a lot to share here. Thanks.
  13. ahaha... msg noted. If I see same item higher price, I let you know. If lower price i keep quiet ok? btw i saw another granite sink by the brand Carysil at Asia Excel today. Anyone using this brand can share some comments? it looks like this http://acrysil.com/carysil/products_vivald...no_drainer.html
  14. Very nice sink! Would you mind to share he brand/model & where you got this and how much?
  15. I normally benchmark the same appliance with 3 popular neighbourhood shops to comapre prices. In most cases, the differences are not great but certainly cheaper compared to getting from HN, BEST etc.. For convenient sake, I usually get all my appliance from GAB cos they are nearer to my place. The process is pretty simple. Shop ard at BEST, HN and get the model you like. Call up the shops and ask them for best price. Pick the one you preferred and viola, you save couple of hundreds bucks.
  16. Here you go... Goh Ah Bee210 Hougang St 21 #01-247, 530210, Singapore p: 62888611 f: 62804603 http://www.hotfrog.sg/Companies/Goh-Ah-Bee
  17. Hi mumu, I am muakmuak. Rhymes hor? Going through your blog I must say you have got a lovely place! Love the kitchen, the glass wall and your MBR toilets! I am collecting my key to Fernvale mid next month and will be starting my reno thereafter. I saw the view from your living room, it really resemble the place I bought. If I am not wrong, you should be staying at Blk 403 or 404 ba? I am moving into 403A. We may be neighbours then?
  18. Thanks Jaskel. Over the weekend I was at Kovan Shopping Centre came across someone selling his service which looks similar to the toilet tiles spraying thingy. The man called himself Ah Boy and has tatoo all over his body. He quoted a promotional price of $1.1K for 2 toilets floor tiles. He claimed his spraying is permanent and non-porous. Is this the same product?
  19. Hi There, collecting my keys next month and planning for my reno now. After reading many good review of Mr Chang, I am also enticed to engage his service. Would you mind to pm me the charges so I have a better gauge and budget. I previously engaged another FS lady when buying my resale flat. However she seems like every house also can and mentioned that those bad things she can counter them away. I was like?????? Was kind of expecting her to share with us like which is the best direction for the house? Or which area is most suitable...something like that... She collected $200 for seeing house and quoted another $600 for FS advice for my resale flat (inclusive of FS ornaments). Is this reseanoble? Regards.
  20. Hi Dyleen, thanks for the pointers. Totally agree with you on the decals on floor thingy. I only have very short leadtime (2 weeks) for reno hence no hacking intended. My intend to segregate dining from living is to give a visual distinction of these 2 areas. However it looks like this may not be possible. Carpet is a good idea. I am likely to use carpet if LF is not practical for my case. That's why I was hoping to get more opinions from this forum before I make my final decision. Regards.
  21. Hi Cybnox, you got a really nice house. I am going to start my reno very soon. May I have his contact too? Sorry to add on to the overwhelming request for contacts..thanks load.
  22. Hi Jaskel, I am planning to add some colors onto my existing homogenous tiles in living area. Planning to only do partial area so I can segregate my dining area from living area. Is this tiles painting suitable for living area? I intend to do the smooth surfacing for my tiles. Can you PM me the contact? Thanks load.
  23. Hi everyone, I met up with one of the laminate flooring yesterday. Shared with the salesperson my idea of overlaying LF partially in my dining area. He showed me the profile which is semi-circle shaped and that is going to cover up the edge between LF and existing tiles. Actually the profile is quite ugly I felt after seeing it for myself. I guess it will be alright if it is used between bedroom and door. I will drop the idea of doing partial LF. However I still like to do something to the flooring to differentiate my dining & living area. Thought of decals on the floor tiles but they probably won;t last very long... Anyone can share some ideas?
  24. Hi, is your product suitable to act as overlay over homogenous tiles in HDB? Do you have any previous projects with HDB? If yes perhaps you can post some pictures so the forumers can get a better feel of what exactly is your product? Looking at your website, it appears to be more towards industrial.
  25. Hi everyone, I chanced upon this great site while looking for some renovation ideas for my resale flat in Fernvale. Had a proposal from ID to overlay LF partially on the original HDB homogenous flooring. The whole idea is to segregate dining area from living. While I like the idea of the distinct segregation, I am not sure if the overlay will create ugly edge between the LF and tiles? I was told they will be covered but the overlaying will create some height difference right? Will this going to look very ugly? Hope to hear your opinion on the above proposal I received. If anyone had their home done up in this manner, pls do share with me what are the pros and cons. Thanks load!
