Hihi Am looking for: 1) King size wooden bed frame (simple design) 2) Bar stool for Island Any idea where wld be a good place to shop for these? Thanks
-
Thanks Mickey, I also think so. Thanks for the assurance Looking forward to the completion so that we can quickly move things back into their 'original' position

I think it also depends on what you have. I used to be able to stack all my tupperware into one shelf (1 level) and all the party plates/cups/trays etc into the other (normal cabinet). But now with drawers, I have to split them into 2 diff drawers. I agree with your ID that drawers waste more space, esp if your doors are without handles, that's what happened to mine. Will try to take pix and show. So space planning is really impt. Think of what you have / want to store, I believe that will help you with your planning

sigh.... I had a little issue with the wood flooring, just a little bit of it... but after the boss (wood flooring boss) came and inspect, he say cannot, must redo a particular area!!! So that means taking out the existing wood, fix new panel and wait for it to dry and then the sanding, polishing etc etc etc all over again! I faint man.... But boss say this time round use a quick-dry glue, so don't need to wait for 10 days, can do everything on the same day, so at least my HO will not be pushed too far back... Still got quite a bit of things outstanding, our electrician came on Christmas Eve, but he didn't managed to finish everything, and he will be busy this wk, so it might be the New Year before he can come again. Then we have to wait for him to finish all the electrical points before getting our painter to come back the 3rd time for touch-up and paint the doors. After that, our plumber will come in after our carpentery work for our toilets are up, that's probably ard the 2nd week of Jan 01... OMG.. it's dragging...

This is how it is when applied onto the floor After this is dry, they sand it again, using the finer sandpaper (the blue one) Afterwhich they apply the filling for 2 more times... and after it's dry, they apply the lacquer Oh, and the saw dust after the 1st round of sanding looks like this But the saw dust after the 2nd round of sanding is ... wow... And, here's the final product (just the balcony, didn't take the rooms...)
-
Yeah, flooring for the 3 bedrooms + balcony is completed! This is the machine that's doing the work Machine @ work See the difference It's a few rounds of work. 1st, they sand it down using the coarse sandpaper (the red one) After that, they uses this to apply onto the flr, I think it shd be something like a fillings... to fill up any gap in-btw the wood... it's such strong lacquer smell... really bad for the body... I feel for the workers...

Hi, don't think mine is that... Think mine is Oiled Walnut, Naturelle Finish. We saw it in their showroom and got a A4 sample from them. Think it's a new series with a matching edgeband, and yes... it's quite expensive
-
Thanks Our wood grain laminate from Formica

It's not as dusty... But it sure is smelly!!! The lacquer is killing me.....
-

With a brand 'chopped' on it.. cost few hundred $ more .... To me, branded or not, it serves the same purpose... sigh... my darling hubby wants this... I no choice...

Not much update... things have been moving very slowly... Painting was done for the rooms 2 days back, and they are quite good in wrapping up all the necessary... They will be coming back for the 3rd time, to paint the doors and some touch-up here and there... Polishing of our parquet floor will be done tmr, we very KS, seal up the areas that polishing will be done, trying to minimize dusts in the living area where all our stuffs are (We hv to move our things out fr the 3 bedroom and put them all in the living rm ). This is the corridor leading to the 3 bedrooms... This is our extended living room (previous balcony)
