Hi, we are getting Classic to do our kitchen too Am contemplating if I shd change the top lift-up cabinet to a blum system instead, any comments?
-
What to do, don't want to delay my kitchen till Dec mah... so have to be firm lor But he good lah, managed to arrange everything within like 2 hrs So my acid wash scheduled for Tue and I'll meet the painter on the same day to confirm color. BTW hor, I heard someone say the fumes from the acid wash will 'rust' some metal, how true is it?
-
BTW, I'll like to hv wood-framed frosted glass bi-fold doors for the toilets, anyone uses such pls advice. Thx
-
Not much update. My kitchen was suppose to be up next Tue. But Henry say cannot cos not yet do the cement screen for the blacony & wood floor, will be very dusty. So yesterday I think think think then I don't care him send a 'commanding' message: 1) Cement screen today 2) Acid wash Friday 3) Paint Monday It works He immediately say will arrange and then call back say cement screen done liao. Acid wash either Sun or Tue (worker not free) and paint next week too... Must really put some pressure on him if not things are moving a little slowly... The good news was my kitchen can be delayed by 1 week to the 23rd Nov, so timing is perfect BTW, can I check if it's normal that you don't see much of Henry? Cos the only time I see him is when he wants me to make payment Of cos can get him on the phone but some things are easier to say face to face then thru' phone... and he's always so busy, not sure if he paying attention. Like that day told him shower screen on hold, let me think first. Then he say cannot, measure liao (???), why, thot you always wanted... BUT I'm always against shower screen. That's the first thing I told him that I don't want but he kept saying it wld be useful to prevent the toilet to be wet... sigh... So i very firm say ON HOLD... Toilet too small, think don't want... Then he, ok ok.. But overall he is a nice guy lah. All his sub-con are good workers too, so no complain on the workmanship. Think he just too busy....

hmm... maybe you wanna keep the wood for other purpose? Long strips of wood like that shd be quite expensive...
-
Hi, actually hor, the hole was there at the first place. Like a parapet like that. (like the one in the common toilet) We seal up certain portion to create the 'hole' effect
-
Ok, today they going install the WC, will take some pix later. Oh... must confirm with Henry re the balcony area liao....
-
Our balcony quite big leh, used to have plants and pond, and kids can play water there, quite fun really. But cos our hse facing main road, it's quite noisy and dusty. And also think need more space for the kids, that's why convert lor Initially I also was thinking it's cool to hv balcony, can have kopi there, sit and chat... but mine not a good location lah... if your hse is those inside quiet quiet one than shiok
-
It was the previous balcony. We're converting it into part of our living room. Will hv windows there, so shd be fine kua...

Henry called. Ask if we would rather lay that area with wood flooring, but must +$400... We still thinking...
-
sigh... met with the tile shop guy and he say the only way to lay the long strip ceramic tiles nicely is to leave a bigger gap inbtw tiles (ard 3mm). So must hack and re-do the balcony. Alternatively we can choose to lay something else, maybe wood strips or some other tiles ... This is so sad... we really like the tiles... so now we thinking what to do...

Flr is creamy white. Went to Formica and gottan 3 more samples today Then went to stilestone @ Changi South to take sample for the table top. And doing matching game
-
I vote for # 1 too
-
Henry called to say that someone from the tile shop will pop by our place to take a look at our balcony tiles. Ah Orh (the tiler) will be there too. I wonder what wld be the verdict
-
Still deciding on the laminate to use for kitchen... 1 2 3 4 This is to be used for the bottom cabinet on the hob area. The rest will be glossy white. The table top will also be white
-
hahahaa, yalor. Good thing my hubby was quite determine with the tiles he selected, so i just nod in agreement
-
Ya, I went down to both Seng Lee & LamiTAK to see the bigger samples too. I took the A4 samples from both. And you're right viewing the actual BIG pc of laminate from LamiTAK. I was impressed... But... I still can't decide on my laminate...
-
Hihi They quite fast one, think 1 day touching up then the next day do tiles liao
-
Ya, it's the balcony flr. We hacked off the old tiles.

hmm... Henry gave me someone else for my electrical work, handsome man he say His quote cheaper then what was quoted previously but I think it's still high... but I'm going with him anyway, no time to source ard... Here's a few pix Here's the balcony, some problem leh... sharp edges, not flat... tiler say cannot fix, must hack off the whole thing and relay wor... say the tiles too long, not flat This's the master toilet This's the common toilet Today hubby found out there're water dripping from one of the water pipe in the common toilet. The plumber came to fix it in the morning, but abt 1 hr ago hubby say still got abit of water leh... so he coming to see again tmr. This is very impt cos we doing box-up for the pipes in the toilet. Hopefully all will be good after tmr. Today & tmr will be electric + false ceiling. Then after that will be the kitchen (not by Henry). Things that we need to buy: 1) lights for toilets and the 3 bedrooms 2) toilet WC & sink 3) shower head and taps 4) sink for kitchen Cheers
-
BTW, today the electrian, ah hao, came over to take a look again. Then he gave us a quote, which is quite shocking to me. $1900! I really didn't expect it to be that much cos most of our lighting points there liao mah, just needed to change from round downlight to square downlight and seal up some that's not to be used... anyway, told him i'll need to get back to him. Maybe my kitchen got alot of new points that's why.. i don't know leh... sigh...

This is Ah Hwa The guy in yellow is the 'malay' lor
