Bought my T5 4ft, warm lights from www.lightings.com.sg at $18 yesterday, quite satisfied with my purchase.

1 month only, according to the salesman. Although he may not be telling the truth, the condition looks great.

Is extended warranty worth taking for an aircon? GC is giving extended warranty for 5 years - for aircon - $350. Is it really worth it?

Do'nt bother too much about HD, will take a long time for channels to be HD. Buy HD ready - good enough already.

Yes. panasonic do not have system 4 inverter. GC sengkang branch also quite good.

Went to see lorenzo full leather sofas - i think the quality is great. They are selling display sets at 40% discount, some of the sets are quite new - you think it is worth it?

depends on the response time. LCD has lower response times. Some have reponse times starting from 7-8ms to as low as 2ms. It should be as low as possible so as not to see the flicker effect on fast moving screens. Second is frequency, how many times in a second it refreshes the screen, 50 hertz will refresh 50 times in 1 sec, 100Hz will refresh 100 times in 1 sec. there is one LG model - 47 inch - 200 Hz and 2 ms response time, no flickr for 3000 dollars, giving one 32 inch(50Hz) LCH free. But i would rather go for plasma - picture quality better than LCD for bigger screens - panasonic 42inch plasma now is for 700 dollars only. After 4-5 years - throw the plasma and then buy a 200hz LED tv for that price...

seashell, the 250$ voucher is for all system 3 aircon brands, 300$ for system 4 aircon. Only panasonic is giving extra 100$ vouvher. No extended warranty. If you want the warranty - worth 359$, do'nt take the 250$/300$ voucher, and they will replace the voucher with free extended warranty. But i think if we take good care of our aircon, they are usually very lasting one. In any case u still get the panasonic 100$ voucher.

Gain city having aircon promo. Got panasonic system 3 inverter - for $2786 Pay $120 to upgrade insulation to half inch. GC giving $250 NTUC/SHELL/CHOICE vouchers. Panasonic giving $100 NTUC vouchers. Total price with better insulation = $2906 - $350 = $2556 Quite a good price. Panasonic is better because of the built in ionizer, have better quality air when you sleep, plus with kids is more worth it.

Hi Beany, How much did you get the fans for? I am looking to buy fans, where can we get the best deals? And which fans have better quality? Thanks
