  3. Welcome to RT. With 15K budget is quite hard for yr wish list. I suggest you just get a simple wardrobe for the time being. Your floor plan is the same as mine and I also did simple reno which cost me about 28K. Maybe you can take a look at my RT thread. You can always combine salary with yr brother or sister if you have and go for reno loan from bank .
  4. Well, if you think that the seller agent serve you well enough and also help you nego on yr side, then I think 1% com should give it to him. When I brought my resale flat, found the flat my own through ST and call up for viewing. I am using seller agent and the agent serve me well enough to make sure nothing goes wrong till the resell complete.

  6. Fully agree with you. Now my wife do laundry, few hours can dry already as ours is those old style using bamboo sticks type. When I stay sengkang last time, laundry 1 whole day still not dry just because of the laundry area design
  7. I feel that old type of house design is better as more privacy. My friend that stay in sengkang 700 series, the kitchen to their neighour kitchen is so near less than 5m. You can see their kitchen so clearly, no privacy at all. But what to do, now can get a flat in BTO already consider very lucky, so LL.
  8. Ya. Happy can already but I dun think it possible for <20K can reno a full overhaul old orginal resale flat even with only so so effect and just interm of hacking already cost alot. If you are talking on a New BTO 3rm flat, <20K can do alot of magic.
  9. Total Reno cost is $32K with Aircon Mitsubishi Electric Inverter System 3, 2x MSY-GE10VA, 1x MSY-GE24VA as aircon is quote inside the reno. My air con cost me $3400, Cheap?

  11. I have did some hacking of wall and building wall if not it will be more cheaper. Anyway, my wife and I also feel that 28K is reasonable enough for a total full overhauling of the flat.
  12. That the Altar cum Divider to place my kwang yin. It cost me about $750, the glass panel is a whole pcs type. My total reno cost excluding furnishings is $28k+ .

Today, I call up CPF and speak to a officer regarding HPS and she said HPS fully cover if my wife and myself as a flat owner which both of us brought 100% HPS in CPF and if would anything happen to either 1 of us, the other party will be cover for the full loan instalment.
  20. Bring young children to view house which I think is true. When I viewing resale house, we always bring along my 3years old child cos nobody help look after. We view about 20 house and there is a house which my child just dun want to go inside the house and keep pushing my wife to stay outside so I went in myself. I also feel very uneasy during viewing.
