    Hi actually i am not suppose to post on other contractor's thread, Very no respect.. as a contractor myself, i do admit that i will overlooked some of the enquiries requested by customers sometimes, you might want to send a friendly reminder to recall your enquiry just incase the contractors were being tied down by something?

    Seems like you were being bullied by your unfriendly neigbour huh? if that is the case, you should ask your contractor to apply for a brand new permit and paste a new one month notice on his door, follow up with extensions of renovation permit in the following months you have to ensure your workers follow restricted work time (9 to 5) before he backstab on you.. 1) start to use power drill on your ceiling from 9am every morning. 2) buy a cloths dryer, do not dry your cloths outside balcony window, he is going to drain dirty water on your cloth 3) observe your toilet ceiling and file in your complain if you found water seepage from upper floor.

    oh...that you can call up town council for quote, contractor should charge you not more than $150 as a coordination fee. did he include Haulage fee paying to TC?

PS: The house was old fashion and untidy laying out, after make over- it appears very spaces and neat after hacking off of walls & wall plastering. Owner is decisive and determined respectively over the whole project, result are end up up to expectation

    you know what?....that's just not your day we have been dealing with so many different situation while we were helping for our owners for the delivery. i tends to be frustrated initially, after i get older and get really used to all these, they seems to be so normal to me now, complaint also no use, don't need to waste your mood for these people, just get thing done and move on, the delivery man will get their punishment from other people if they continue their attitude. Feeling better now...?

    Hi w3ita, from your statement, the work was delivered satisfactory except for his unattendant- before your sight.. does that mean somebody else in his company did the coordination work or did you do it yourself? if you're talking about 5 weeks ago, your house completion should be right before CNY, i assume your ID must have left for Holiday or has just trying to close their 2010 account, and just found your outstanding. Allow me to suggest, you should make a immediate payment if works are complete satisfactory & in time.

    Hi seacube, if the company you signed are providing sincere service, they will follow instruction given by you, but if they are just a hit & run company, even you ask for Moon before signing with them, they will still give you stone after signing it... just do the rest of the thing in legal way will do, if you find them playing game with you, you can pm me for advise, i'll help.

    it's safe to ask for schedule plan before signing contract, any delaying of work should notify/update the owner in email form so that everybody have a mutual understanding on why the reason of work being postpond & delay, and is convenient the owner to plan to postpone the rest of the delivery or moving in. To successful to complete a house renovation, id contractor & owner both play a very important part, if any party fail to coorporate + compromising with alot of tolerant, then the renovation is going to be a terrible one. My advise to house owner, try to reserve atless one-two weeks after the schedule plan your id contractor provide, for any of the unexpected consiquences. PS: you & your id contractor are both just human, both will make mistake one. Just my 2 cents

    Long story, we don't agreed with the cornice so asked them to f spider. they were not suppose to plaster the groove line (expension groove) and was already had alot of cracks, and we pointed out to show hdb officer that some were being patched before and has covered by layer of paints. we have no choice after receiving hdb letters demand to close the case, and being begged by a few phone calls from hdb officer, end up we provide free labour to patch & paint the walls for them, on one condition they have to provide their own paint. My advise to all owner, touch wood if it happened to your house, stay out of it and let your contractor to deal with your neighbor. IF neighbour calling you, just ignore the calls or give them your contractor number will do, otherwise it going to be very messy

    This is very common for downstairs taking advantage of reno contractor above their house, we have met so many in our reno life and problem never ending. Most of the time we did that out for goodwill to please our hdb officer, try not to make them difficult mah One best case we came across....after hacking, the upstairs owner complained to hdb say their cornice dropped, wall cracked and threaten us to paint for them whole house
