    Think you can get 3 Quote base on the item written (I would suggest you pay them a quotation fee just be fare to people) there you may seek CASE advise for a negotiation with the contractor.

    Happy New Year & Happy Valentines day everyone! we have finally complete celebrating the most wonderful season of each year, here our workers have came back & get really serious in work! Saw a cases where owner is a single mother and happened to get into serious trouble with the ID film, she shown me a few Quotation she had obtained from a few ID company and she was not seriously looking into the items cost, but she was attracted by the final sum which she claim that this is the lowest among the rest.... and you know what? She didn't knows that the Tiles purchase was not inside the Quotation, and Electrical price isn't there..... We are in the middle of discussion about taking over this Job, hope you guys could be more smart, don't be blind off by Package deal, (cause even Tiler Seng don't believed in Package!!) If you need advise before signing on the dot, you may email the Quotation to me, i'll help you to study & see if they are ok to go or what "don't worry, we are not asking you to pass over job to us" cause I'm just trying to be helpful that's all!

    Always remember Crack lines are not avoidable, never use different cement brand in one house, make sure the sands purchase are higher grade type cause tinny sands may result hollowness under the cement surface.

    your subject it as whether is reasonable, well i would say any form of package price should be under cost or lower than market price than only we call them as "package", i have calculated the item of works you have mentioned, it is more than normal market price so much' not to mention the rest of the add up.     Yishun is indeed abit too far from the town, that was the reason why we have everything you can found in other estate during the 70s. If you decided to live here, you may find that the Taxi fare are the killer so you intend to stay home more during weekend.     That seems more like a sales designer rather than you are dealing with ID, cause Designing is a very professional and Sacred job so it should not be FOC.... my designer told me this Yesterday and he hope the message can pass down to RT forumers: "Anyone can be a designer but not everyone can do good design", 2 "Anyone can play guitar, but not everyone can write script"

    ID has good design taste and can provide logic idea that WOW any visitors. Contractor has good coordination skill that able to provide architecture detailing that WOW the end-users. Which one do you choose when you have just gotten a house?.................be very careful on your selection... cause ID is very costly, they will not entertain a 10K job, on the other hand, Contractor will not entertain if the house look proportion....... Very often, owner mixed up between ID, Salesman, and contractor, but i believe they sure will end up discover who they really work with after job completion, unfortunately not before signing up the contract. It's always good to do a back ground check direct or indirect about the renovator that you are going to engage with, that goes to the company too. An ID/ Contractor should at lease have 3-5 years of Field experience, and its company should at lease has a HDB licensed....... otherwise it is better to try look around again
