Hello Danny, you still here? I wana ask you about the panel curtains, so far only remember that you installed them so i can only ask you. Hehe. So far how are the curtains huh? is the sliding mechanism working well? and when it's windy, will the curtain sway a lot? I thinking of installing the curtains in my daughter and PIL room wor. must find out more first.

haha. it's been 3 weeks since i update on this t blog, surprised to find it on top of the threads. Currently there is a window opening between kitchen and dining. my idea was to extend the window length then install a fixed glass panel there. so that the light from hall will brighten the kitchen a little. Yes, the yard kitchen is indeed no use because I have 3 toilets le. One in MBR, one common toilet in the passageway and one in my daughter's room. if i don't hack the toilet away, my PT maid will quit on me! too many toilets to clean!.. my service yard is really very very small. not enough to install clothes poles even. quite a useless space la.. that's why i hope to remove yard toilet and extend the kitchen area lor, hope it will look bigger. the opening at the yard side doesn't serve much purpose cos it faces the wall for the lift side so it's very dark lor. no light source. the utility room is at the yard area, a room by itself with a door. but previous owner seal up the door and change into a study with door access from passageway. i just look at the pix of the study room (ex utility room), it's so small also. thought of fixing shelves for my storeroom stuff and use it as my scrapbook room but then, i think i'm too adventurous.. so small.. see what my ID suggest ba...

hello nofear, you post the pix of your living room to see see first. as for bedroom, in my opinion, to make it cosy, soft furnishings very important: curtains, design of the bedsheets, carpets... lightings also.... never go for white lights, cos it's too harsh... get some table lamps, mood lightings etc...

hey mickey, may i know where you got your chairs? I'm looking for white chairs to match my dining table. i don't want those with with shiny metal legs one (what you call that? erm, chrome plated?), cos my previous ones got all rusty and start to peel. and most of the chairs i saw are like that. yours look good!! you very got taste leh..

my agent told me the waititng time for the 1st appointment can be up to 10 - 12 weeks, due to the high transaction in recent months. However, 2nd appoint won't take that long, at most 4 weeks. any longer than that, is probably seller wanting to delay?

my opinion is, go ahead to hack the walls. build tall wall cabinets to keep the poles and hide the washing machine and other cleaning equipments. i've been living without a service yard for 8 years... so far okay la. just that when i'm cooking, the clothes hanging inside the kitchen will be moved to hang outside lor...

really! that's nice to hear.. guess i will make a trip to changi this weekend to take a look at tubs ba. at least get a feel of the pricing.. i tell you, my first mattress cost me only $400 plus. it's a king koil i think, spinal guard mattress... it was okay until recent years. cos me and hubby old liao, the back cannot take it liao.. wahaha... haiz... another 4 weeks wait before i get my keys.... why so nong!!!!!!!

for my case, my agent told me not to do anything. the PUB people will just transfer account based on our last day of occupancy. and true enough, we receieve a letter from PUB saying that the utilities will not be charged to us...

hello keemn, both my sis' kids are in calvary pandan. basically it's a christian school. the kids say grace before meals and sing christian songs. it kinda follow the PAP schooling system where the kids have spellings and computer classes.. hope this helps.

ya... it's confinement food... haha.... with a twist... well, she cook out of necessity, and cleaning the grease wasn't her habit. she stay over my house most of the time la.

haha.. don't say high class or not leh... as long as it suits you, it's good class.... my body cheaper la... perfer cheaper mattress.. it's my hubby's body, very zhen gui... must go for ex mattress... the price of the mattress can buy a lot of things leh...

yes.. pharmacies have.. comes in sizes too, with everything pre-packed inside for you.. but those are pretty basic stuff... for me, i assemble my own, i bought those open top plastic boxes from daiso and just dump everything inside la... but i've also seen first aid boxes that looks like tool box got double layer one, think at howards storage harbourfront... just be reminded to check the expiry of the creams and meds in the first aid box and keep them away from children, humid places! hope it helps!

ya.. both my friend's hubby got other women outside.. and my friends gave chances after chances... but it's ultimatum now so they proceed to divorce...

my old place uses laminates. actually it's very easy to clean wor... no probs with maintaining the laminates, i use mr muscle to clean out the grease.. not too sure about glass though... but my laminate are matte ones and has abs trims, so it didn't warp at all.. haha... my confinement lady is very good... cos she cook all sorts of dishes during my confinement.. not just those typical confinement food wor... on some good days, i even get fried chicken thigh! very well marinated with a yummy sauce and comes with fries and self made onion rings... aiyo, i salivating already! that time quite shiok la, one day eat 3 full meals, in between got soup and snacks... i don't have maid, so this time not going to have open shelving, neither am i going to hang anything around that area... scared already.. becos my MIL also a everything-deep-fried person.... and she don't clean after she cook.... faint.

thanks el nino... can't wait to live there sooner... then i can shut my kid outside the door while i take a relaxing good soak in the bathroom.. keke nope, i haven't shop for tubs.. and i didn't even check out what tubs available in the market leh, cos i have not found a contractor yet thus didn't do any on site measurements.. haha, i don't mind a sleek theme for bathroom, with a modern touch.. but hubby prefer resort style leh.. haha.. your wife really very cute.. good for you, can get a longer tub.. btw, how much does a tub cost now ah? i got absolutely no idea.
