  1. Thanks! I will take a look once I settle into my new home.
  2. This weekend we'll be expecting more touch ups in the house. Curtains will be coming in! Yeah.. I can't wait to see the effect it gives to the room. I hope the choice of fabric and colours will be right. Glass table top will also arrive to complete the dining table. Stainless Steel backing for the kitchen also will be done. Over the week.... My Tuababy has done a good job in lacquering the bamboo blinds for the service yard and then sawing off the extra width and finally putting them up. The service yard looks better now. I'm planning for a mini vertical garden. Anyone knows where to get those herb and spice plants? Mint, basil etc... I've touched up the paint in the living room. Looks good now. More pictures to come after the weekend...
  3. haha... we're still waiting for the glass table top.. not so completed yet. Still need to do a lot of fine tuning. We'll take pictures over this weekend.. Don't forget yours.. else we will go over to have a look! hehe..
  4. WOW.. so many good deals. I also want to go.. we want to get a shaggy rug for our living room! Thanks for the recommendation, Littleones! And Newnyew for the address!
  5. haha... thought you are busy! we both replied to elane!
  6. thank you! thank you! dining table not in its right place yet but it will be beside the open kitchen sofa is not leaning again the bomb shelter but a 70cm walking space for us to the bedrooms. So we can't grow too fat lah! LOL ok.. i'll search for the bedside table pictures.
  7. yeah, hopefully.. Well, i've sewn the normal tab curtains. Lots of straight lines only so very simple! hehe.. Roman blinds also lots of straight lines.. so hopefully I can succeed!
  8. Here's some of the photos.. Our White Sofa - Calypso from Cellini Living room. White sofa with red wall Shoe Cabinet The Emperor's New Table - Only the wise sees it! Bedroom (Looks a little bare for now... hope to sew prettier roman blinds for my room!)
  9. 5 Sept The weekends was spent at our house cleaning up. The white furniture proves to be a chore. Maybe because feet and hands are not the cleanest at this point as light reno is still on in the house. We cleaned the house again and washed the toilets. Much cleaner now but still dusty and powdery. I guess this is because a lot of people in the surrounding are still renovating their houses. So updates for the weekend... 1) Gas pipe is connected to the hob! Yeah, can start cooking already. 2) Lotus mattress arrived! 3) Dining table legs and chairs. MISSING TOP! They actually brought the wrong table top!!!! 4) Bedside table came in as well 5) Washing machine arrived promptly Overall everyone came in rather punctually! But having all of them at the same time was a bit chaotic! haha... Plus hubby with contracter talking about the holes to drill for the blinds in the house.. Next Sat, our curtains for the living room will arrive and our missing table top. And photos... should be up by Tuababy...
  10. oh gosh.. did you select from the actual material sample? is it different batch so the colour shade is different?
  11. Yes, I agree. Don't get the big woolly kind. VERY heavy and absorb too much paint. Go for the small ones especially for ladies. I didn't use the foam ones just the small rollers.. Also get brushes. I bought 1 inch ones and 2.5inches. I just painted my new home 2 weeks ago. Back breaking but by the 2nd day, the muscles sort of got use to the "exercise"! If you using masking tape, be sure to remove them as soon as the paint dries if not it may stick to the wall and pull off paint from your newly painted wall!!! Also, have a damp cloth with you so if you accidentally paint on your skirting/window, you can wipe it off easily. Another tip from my contractor, for the 1 coat, you can do it rather quickly. Just paint through the wall and don't worry about the uneven patch too much. It's the 2nd coat that you will need to have more patience. At first I didn't want too, and was painting too slowly. After the 3rd day, I decided to just do it his way. Result, same as what I did before!!!!!
  12. LOVE the gate! It's so cheerful, cute and fun! Definitely makes u want to go home to your family!
  13. haha.. yes yes after 2pm! and we will try to spot Westham at level 6 too!
  14. hehehe... NOTTI! Okie.. Shall take photos. Camera in the bag already!
  15. Going to our house today for cleaning up! A lot of small little items will be up today like curtain blinds and rollers, speakers, TV mount.... Now it's time to look for little furnishing to jazz up the place. I'm aiming for a floor lamp since we dont have any fancy lightings so far. My tuababy is aiming for a shaggy rug. I'm absolutely in love with our house. It's really the effort we placed in into making an ordinary flat a cozy home for us.
  16. We actually had more than enough to cover our dinner. The extra went into our honeymoon plus now our renovation.
  17. ya. and it's the wife who will take the photos..
  18. ya, agree with my tuababy.. your place looks big. looks like you brought down some walls! hey, your kitchen is looking good.. open and spacious! saw your oven too... are u a baking fan like me?
  19. Hi newnyew Looks like christmas came earlier for you! LOL But really, if you are there... wear a mask cos the dust may not be very good for the nasal passage way! Hey, would love to see photos of your home...
  20. Thanks Elane. It does sound sensible and we shall try it. No wonder the guys from Classic used feather duster! I've already injured my right wrist, hand and arm from all the cleaning. MAybe it's a blessing in disguise since Tuababy has to do most of the job now... hehehehehe.. Hey... I'm waiting for your photos... How's your reno going? Tried to peek from our house but can't see much.. windows are too reflective! We'll share some photos after Saturday of our simple red, white, black and silver house.
  21. 2 Sept Furniture from Cellini was delivered. Wow , love the white sofa and the bedframe. Not thinking of the maintenance at the moment! I sure love the look of the white sofa with our red wall. After we got the red paint, I actually had second thoughts. Wondered if it would be too loud... but with the white sofa, black tinted mirrors, the colours look balance and blend it rather nicely. Before the furniture, the grantite top supplier came to complete the kitchen. Hmm, I must say that it was less of a wow factor for me compared to the furniture. It could be the lighting as the silvery bits from the top needs to reflect light for it to sparkle. Some hiccups for the day. The faucet for the sink was LEAKING! Therewere also missing screws for our mirror cabinet for the toilet. Cleaning proves to be a tedious task. The house is forever dusty despite our tireless efforts. THe floor feels powdery on the feet. THe window panes are layered with a blanket of dust. I wonder how long more will the cleaning have to go on! On the brighter side, this saturday the delivery for the furniture would be completed. I can't wait for it!
  22. The kitchen went through a lot of HIGHs and LOWs... the original design was with an island but in the end had to save the island concept for a future home with a bigger kitchen! Tuababy take note! Painting is almost 90% done. Ya, I painted the feature wall in the living and also the one in the bedroom with of course my Tuababy helping me when he is free from all the coordinating. Very tiring, but a great sense of satisfaction. Now I need to think about how to dress up the wall so that it looks good. We went over to Ikea for ideas over on Friday and I got an idea for my vertical garden. Now I will have to start looking for herbs and spices which I can grow to use for my cooking. The house or rather our home is coming up nicely.. Wish the days would just fast forward...
  23. Yesterday was a busy day. There was so many things going on in the house. The workers from Classic came, then the oven from Teka and finally the hob, hood and microwave from Happiness. The whole house was bustling with life! Excellent services from all of them Teka called the night before informing me that the model I ordered is eh... damaged in the warehouse. In fact, all of remaining sets are slightly damaged! So what they offered to do is give me another model which is slightly better at no extra cost. At first, I was quite miffed about it since I really like the model I bought. But after some consideration, I thought that this was actually a blessing because I was getting a more expensive oven with better features! TuaBaby and I also painted our room. Had to be really careful since the parquet has already been polished. Yesterday, I think we accomplished quite a bit of painting though we were slowed down a little in the morning with the initial buzz. Now, we are looking forward to Sat and Sun where we will paint our feature wall. Workout time for us! Now I'm waiting in anticipation for our wardrobe and shoe cabinet to be in.
  24. Tomorrow is the day I've been waiting for during the process of renovating our house. The kitchen will be coming in!!!! I've been thinking of the opening dish! What will be the first meal I would cook up! Also tomorrow, we will continue with our painting. My Tuababy was so against the idea of painting at first since it was sheer hard work. But I really enjoyed painting since I've done it for my present room and my office! So we compromised and asked our contractor to paint the ceilings and we will work on the walls... But to those who are comtemplating to paint.. it's really hardwork.. but very rewarding and fun! We've decided that this will be the first and last house we will ever paint... We are getting old so our bones and muscles won't be able to take it anymore! Stay tune for more pictures of the kitchen....
  25. yeah... so we have to high jump to get to our bedroom! Btw, it's mrs tuababy here!
