Agree the food is really salty but otherwise still ok for. Next time I plan to ask them to use less SALT. This is what i did with my regular zi char stall in Pasir Ris. The nasi lamak.. really alamak! The chill is very sweet and has lots of MSG.. I can detect it the MSG! THe curry is too sweet for my liking! We notice the queue is shorter now.... Let's wait and see... Oh, I find the small bowl noodle... xiao wan mian quite nice. Generous serving too.

haha... their chicken wings are yummy! Go on weekday nights... they close at 11pm... usually we go there at 8++, have dinner than shop till they close!

Haha.. u power ah! But at least our home not too far from IKEA... after that can go Giant buy groceries. Laundry, just hang on the rails provided by HDB. Maybe our serviceyard is facing inwards so less dusty... and perhaps my surrounding neighbours have completed reno too. Or maybe we have been washing our clothes day and night and hanging them out so the rails got no chance to be dirty!!!!

let you know later. When are you moving in? Today???
-
Coffee_o.. we have been to Ikea for this reno more than I have been to Ikea in my entire life!!!! So often that the meatballs are no longer a crave! haha
-
haha.. Okie.. I better go back to my work! Medication out of stock already anyway! Poor fellow... Hope he finds a cure soon.
-
Let me help expand your vocabulary.. Anything that praises my reno is a compliment. Not a postive or constructive criticism.

UGLY is RELATIVE.. do you understand what "relative" means? Not your auntie or uncle hor... Well, we take constructive criticism and not destructive ones. Also, what positive criticism have you contributed for the good of the people here? Maybe you got criticism and insult mixed up! No offence.. just like you are entitled to your views.. so do I!
-
yeah.. I know. Just giving him his daily medication for attention. But today will be the last dosage from me. Thanks!
-
Hahaha... Wow... thankfully I only got one out of 2 there... French Title... UGLY is relative! Here's another one for your attention seeking desire!
-
And yes.. I know you so want a reply or a respond from us... ADMIT IT you need forumers from RENOTALK to make your life more colourful!

I think we got it on an impulse. We had been looking and looking and searching for lights. Then one night, we were at Ikea and my hubz joked that we should just save our time and money and get the Ikea light instead. At that time, I don't think he thought I would agree to it.. but I did!!! So that's how the light came to our home! For $19... we are not asking for more.
-
ya.. when we got there on sun.. the salesguy kept saying.. ni lai wan le... (we came late) all the colours are gone! anyway.. we settled for the grey one.. a bit small but at $45... it's already a steal.. so no complaints. Clock.. from IKEA again....

Rug is from The Rug Warehouse sale at Jackson (Tai Seng) Dining light... haha... it's IKEA.... no frills, glam or fuss

5-8cm will be enough space for both curtains definitely.. but for me i think it will look better if the curtains have space to "flow" instead of look like it's stuck to the wall... hmmm u can just go to a window now with curtains and see how much space it takes when it just hangs down from the track.. that maybe can give u an idea...take a ruler along.. hehehe... BUT HOR.. really if no space.. then curtain is not the top priority... your sound system is more important!
-
we have 15cm leh! I think your day and night track will be about 10cm... so after u let down the curtains... u need about that much space for you to place your curtains nicely.... that's my opinion la
-
Elane, only 5cm for curtains? eh... are you having both day and night? cos if you draw the curtains back then u need more space else your curtains will be crumple rite? curtains though cloth needs space to hand down loosely to look nice leh.

Hi Takomi We had our dinner at Peony Jade at Clark Quay this march. I think after adding in the wine we paid about $700nett per table. Food is really good. A lot of positive comments from my relative and friends. Well...some people will give less because it's at restaurant so you can't expect the same angpow as hotel for restaurant.

haha.. I know what you mean.. anyway, we went to buy the 3M mircofibre mop. Hopefully it helps to pick up the dust and dirt when we mop! remember to stuff cloth outside your maindoor if your neighbours are still renovating!

u caught me in one of the most unglam moments! Yeah...cleaning the windows... cos the curtains came in.. so I thought better clean the dusty windows before my curtains get dusty too!
-

13 Sept The weekend passed quickly. On Sat, the plumber came and changed our copper pipes to stainless steel ones. The dining table top finally came. Quite happy with how it looks with the rest of the house. But while cleaning, Tuababy found a deep deep scratch on one of the chairs.. THe chair was delivered last week.. so now we are not sure if they will be kind enough to replace it for us! The stainless steel backing for the kitchen was up BUT my contractor missed while trying to drill a hole for the rod so it has to be replaced! I think everyone fell silent for a moment and looked at the punctured steel backing! The blinds we got from Spotlight was also up. And the highlight for the weekend was the THE CURTAINS for the living room! I was very pleased with the curtains. I "inspected" the workmanship and I have to say it was good. very neat stitches and trimmings. The customer service was also commandable. THe salesperson, Melvin, was also there personally to supervise the installation. He even offered to install hooks for my bamboo blinds in the service yard even though we didn't get those from him. I think the highlight for Tuababy was the rug we got at the warehouse sale recommended by one of the forumers. We got a greyish one at $45! I think we would have paid twice the price if we got it elsewhere! Sorry, no pictures on my end. Tuababy has the memory card. He will upload it soon!
