Hi all, I would like to know whether anybody out there has a LCD/plasma tv mounted onto a wall w/o the tv wall feature ? If so, I would like to know how and what are the ways we can "hide" the wires dangling behind the tv. Thank you.

Hi ilmare612, Another compliment for u on ur gorgeous hse ! We've already gotten the key to our unit but owner requested to stay another 1mth. So in the meantime, we've been VERY bz taking notes off this informative forum. I noticed that u hv a huge mirror at ur dining area. Is that one piece or 3 smaller pieces ? Are u using clear mirror / tea mirror ? We wanna make use of mirrors too for our small unit. Wife likes the clear mirror but I prefer the tea mirror. I feel tea mirror gives that classier feel. What do u or the forumers here think ? Any advantages/disadvantages between these 2 mirrors ?

As I intend to hv white walls & ceiling with black furnitures, and from GSXR~RACER's comments, I kinda agree to not mix warm white and daylight white in same room. So think I'l go with warm white throughout the living & dining area. Zio -> my living room is of odd shape and not the squarish design. I was thinking of having false ceiling for the entire living + dining area except the ceiling fan. Till now I am still unsure how to design the ceiling, but I've decided not to have cove lighting. *blur*

Oh there 3 types huh ... Hmm I think it depends on the colour theme of your living room. My fren's place was in white theme and he uses yellowing white bulbs and it looked good. If your living room theme has a dark feel to it, think white will do good. Mine will be white/black theme, think I'l prolly use yellowish white bulbs throughout the living room. Hope it turn out nice .......

Hi all, We're shopping for downlights anytime now and we need advice. Our living room is of black & white concept. Any advice on what colour lights are advisable ? White or yellow or combination of both ? Any current owners has valuable info to share in terms of which lights will produce heat that warm up the room ? Coz we want to eliminate this. Thanks.

Hello, Did the guy took out your oven for repairing ? Or he repaired it w/o taking it out ? If were to replace the oven, can it be removed easily on your own ?

Hi all, I have a concern on built-in oven on the practicality of it. We would love to have a built-in oven as it blends nicely with the decor of the kitchen designs n all. But out concern will be what happens if it breaks down *touch wood* and needs replacement ? Will it be difficult to have it replaced since it is built in to the cabinets ? Does that means we have to call someone to remove the oven to have it replaced ? I was thinking of designing the oven compartment to be slightly bigger so that it can be removed easily or maybe a pull out system. Has anyone did this and if so, any pics to share ? Any other advice / suggestions greatly welcome. Thank you

Gd morning all ... We will be getting our house keys, hopefully early Nov '09 and been reading topics after topics to help us **headache** So far we have listed the shops to look out for for our toilet accessories, switches etc. Left with lightings. I learned from here that it is better for us to go on our own. I would appreciate if home owners who went through the pain of surveying for lightings to briefly advice or share your experience on the "good" shops to go. Hi all, I intend to have a black & red themed kitchen and a black & white themed living room. My bomb shelter is just beside the kitchen entrance. I have a headache on how to design the feature wall to cover up the bomb shelter. I wanna make it look like the kitchen and the living area blends together via the feature wall. Any1 out there hv ingenious ideas ? We dont mind incorporating mirrors on the feature wall Pictures of completed projects are of great help too ...

Hi all, We were toying the idea of having frosted glass door for the common toilet reason being we think that the usual wooden door will be a bit unsightly and difficult to blend in the designs in the living room.
