Hi, thx for sharing your views Was discussing with wife and discovered that some of our friends also preferred Thomson Medical for their hospitality. Now it juz depends on my budget :-/ May I know how frequent is the medical check-up ? Monthly ?

Hi all, Was planning for a family and got to know abt the not so hospitable atmosphere in KKH and it is a vast contrast compared to SGH. Any1 who had experience(s) at both hospitals care to share their experiences and advices ? Thx in advance

Hi all, After much consideration, I am torn between these 2 vacuum cleaners ... Karcher SE4001 ($348) and Miele S2120 ($308). Karcher has the water spray function that double up as a mopping function - we find that is cleaner faster. Miele has a good filtration system but no water function, but a very reliable brand. which to buy ... which to buy ... which to buy ....... *confused* Anyone uses any one of this vacuum cleaners pls share your views ... appreciate it.

Carpenter took out the clothes hanger and upon completion of carpentry work, they cant fix it back by saying the screw broke ... ?! http://img136.imageshack.us/img136/3759/img0156at.th.jpg I was told to buy my own screw as my ID said it is a special kinda screw for such HDB issued clothes hanger. She wanna replace it with a typical 70's clothes hanger whick is such an eye sore ... Today visited 3 hardware shops but non sells that kind of screw. Any1 know whr can I get them ? Thx in advance.

Yah I nvr do the flooring ... hmm was thinking of doing a tunnel-shaped funnel linking from the opening at the shower screen base to the water trap at the dry area ... haizzz ... dunno if it'll work ... just hate to see water flows out to the dry area during shower

Hi all, my reno is abt to complete but we have moved in. Discovered some weird thing in the bathroom : - there is a small opening at the base of the shower screen that separates the wet area & the dry area. While showering, the water from the wet area will flow out through the hole into the dry area. The previous owner designed the floor in such a way that water flows to that particular hole (dry area) coz they do not have a shower screen. We find it funny as it defeat the purpose of having the shower screen, and water flows out to the dry area. Need suggestions on what can be done to solve this. I thought of sealing up the hole but it is not practical as water will be trapped at the corner of the wet area and will not fully drain out through the water trap in the middle of the wet area. Any suggestions ?? (

GAB: 62888611 BTW a colleague showed me another shop in Tampines and guess what ?! I get the oven I wanted $10 cheaper than GAB !! Was so happy that I paid for it immediately delivery this Saturday (delivery date and time very flexible) Karin was very accomodating ... look for her at: New City Electrical Trading Blk 201D Tampines St 21 #01-1125 Tel: 67826488 NOTE: not all products are cheaper than GAB. The refrigerator I purchased and GAB is $30 cheaper than New City. Ceiling fans I got at lightings.com.sg and is cheaper than New City too. Weird thing is that she sells ceiling fans at a standard price of $220, regardless the size of the fan ... ??? Funny but that's how she quoted me Good luck ! -
Hi all, 1 month ago we decided on which refrigerator and built-in oven to get from GAB and they have stock for these 2 items but we didnt place an order. Today when I called to order from them, only the refrigerator is available, the Turbo oven TFP-1605F (black) is out of stock Checked with Everjoint, they quoted $30 more than what GAB quoted. Anyone out there knew of good neighbouring shops to recommend ? Appreciate contact numbers as well. Thank you in advance.

What Are The Electronics & Electricals You Regret Buying?
aerial77_00 replied to nirvana's topic in Electronics & Electricals
Hi pooh_bear, First of all, u must plan very carefully where you want to put the SCV point in your living room. I suggest if you like the idea of occasional rearranging of your TV console, place the SCV point somewhere in the central part of the living room. This means that when you shift the TV console + your TV, you only have to extend the SCV wiring to a certain position (still hidden by the TV console). Getting an electrician to install another SCV point and wiring at new location can be done, of course. But cost you time and $$. Another way is that if you really want to shift your TV around, juz do 2 SCV points during your renovation. Good luck planning ! -
Hi, if there is no existing point for ceiling light, then there is no other way but to have the trunking. If there is an existing lighting point, then u can use the same point to install the ceiling fan + lights (if you are concern about brithness) Maybe a picture will help to clear the topic. Cheers

What Are The Electronics & Electricals You Regret Buying?

Yes I share the same sentiment. That is the main reason I opt for a nice TV console instead. It will not restrict to the same location, won't be out of fashion, can change design or concept easily and mayb coz I foresee I will change TV a lot ! ;p haha BTW I am still searching for a practical & nice TV console to fit in PS3, DVD player, Onkyo amp. Any suggestions ? Max length I can get is 2.5m ... Thx -
Hi, thx for the quotes. BTW care to explain further what are regulators, is that the fan speed control ?
-
Hi all, May I know the best price for those who recently purchased AirVAC ceiling fans (acrylic) for both 54" and 48" ? Appreciate if you can give the quotations with and without the lightings and the shop you get them from. Thank you.

Hi all, My ID recommended 4 dimmer lights (for that warm cinema experience I wanted) on top of the 8 downlights in the living room. When I went to lightings.com.sg, Kelvin said only halogen lamps can be used as dimmer lighths. And halogen lights are known to be very warm. A fren recommended to use LED lights instead. What are the kind of LEDs I can get to have that warm feel for watching movies ? Quotations pls ? Thx.
