  1. Coffee_O Count me in lah!!! I am also trying to get Jason to give FOC too!!!
  2. Hi Red Devil Do try to take a close up of the granite top. We are thinking of getting it too. Thanks!!!
  3. If you are getting the divan, you can try visiting S&C at AMK. We got our mattress from Simmons but purchase the divan from S&C instead. We are quoted $350 for king size divan. 6" leg plus 6" board. It is the lowest quotations we got...
  4. Hi Wywy I have the same problem like yours. Pressing for time and constrainted with budget. We approached quite a number of ID and contractors, including Tau Interior. We met up with him three times to discuss about our requirement and cost. And even went to one of his project to take a look. But eventually we did not sign up with him because he is not quite willing to lower his quotation. The project which we saw was average only. By the way, he has a lot of fans around RT, so I have to be careful of what I type. If you already have an idea what kind of concept you want your place to have, I suggest you go for a renovator. DIY most of the colour selection, design and etc. Although it is tiring but it can be quite fun too. Happy Renovation!!!
  5. Adidas, how's your reno coming along? Any 3D drawings? Eagerly waiting for updates for your reno... We actually have to return the sketch (not 3D Drawing) to Jason so that he can proceed with the fabrication of the cabinet. Luckily I managed to take some pictures using my wife handphone. Will try to get it from her and post it here soon. For potential Jasoners (well we have Yeakers), please note that Jason is not able to provide 3D drawings. He will be providing you with sketches and it might not be exactly to scale. What we did is to take our own measurement of the area, do some research at Ikea, internet, and let him know how we prefer the configuration of our cabinets. The process is fun but very tiring. As I type this, my eyes is half closing... That all for now. Hopefully I can show you more pictures soon.
  6. The workers manage to lay all the tiles last week. The workmanship was quite ok. Initially my wife and I was quite concerned as we did some last minutes changes to the laying of tiles and the worker was grumbling over the phone about our request. Kudos to Jason, he actually went down immediately to our place and scolded the workers and get them to change to what he wanted. Being paiseh about the matter, I went over next day to get them coffee and cakes. Work in progress Common bathroom wall tiles.
  7. Sorry for the MIA. I was so busy with work + renovation + weddings that I hardly have the chance to come to RT to update my blog. Will provide a couple of picture in my next post.
  8. The place is swee swee liao... Time for open house yet??? I got my sketch for the kitchen cabinet already. By the way, if you require blum or ikea fittings, you have to buy it and pass it to Jason to install. Mostly importantly, he has to know the dimension to make the cabinet.
  9. Met Jason last Sat.. kekek.. Insisted he come down & look at the final outstanding items, instead of just leaving it to his workers. In the end, Jason finished up the works himself, with another worker, & that took him the whole morning. Anyway, the first thing he said when met me on Sat was.."u posted on internet on outstanding things har?" Long story short, everything done except glass spalshback, which he got the wrong dimensions & need redo this weekend.. hopefully..for rest of items, it's basically open1 eye, close 1 eye for us... We're most satisfied with the carpentry works.. Chatted with Jason, seems like he is quite packed with jobs.. Quite happy that we have gotten Jason to do our reno.. will be getting him o do my mum's pl's minor reno too! In any case, Good Luck to all on your reno! It is great to see that he has finally completed your outstanding task. Jason is quite responsible and is willing to complete the work finally. And I don't think any ID will be willing to do that.
  10. Let me try to remember. My wife pay for it with her credit card (but I am the one paying the bill ) The starndard package cost around $3788 (i think). We upgraded the piping, insulation and added the servicing package for two years. Extended warranty 5years are given FOC. Extra charges for going twice for installation. Total come up to $4500 (rounded up) GC throws in a $50 NTUC voucher and a two adult tickets for Singapore Flyers.
  11. Manage to take some picture of the master bedroom toilet wall tiles. Sorry for the over-exposed pictures. I was using my handphone. My wife and I was very busy running around getting lights and arranging for air con installation. We finally decided to go for GC Toshiba Inverter System 4. I think so far GC service and workmanship has been very good so we decided to go for them. And the main important thing is that Jason is chasing me for the installation of piping and wire. We have to make a quick decision. But the posting that I read from the forum, it should be ok. Meeting Jason on wednesday to view his sketch of the kitchen cabinet and wardrode. Hopefully he can shows us something to our expectation.
  12. I am meeting Jason this coming wednesday to talk about the design of the kitchen cabinet and wardrobe. Does anyone know if he provide similar cabinet set up to what Ikea is offering? My wife and I spend almost quite a bit of time at Ikea today. We will quite impress with their kitchen cabinet (pull-out cabinet, soft closing and etc). Hopefully Jason's design will be equally impressive.
  13. Thanks RASP!!! Just read your blog. Your renovation seems to be coming along fine.
  14. i was quoted by gc, $2739 for sys 3 inverter with free extended warranty-5yrs. got to pay additional: $180 to upgrade 3 rms pipping to armaflex $85 for 2 times installation (1 time install piping, 2nd time install air con unit) is this reasonable? they gave me an option to go for system 4 inverter at $3729 with free extended warranty-5yrs. PLUS to pay the additional item as above... any advice if this is good deal? Hi SeaShell Have you decided on the air con? I am also looking at the GC Toshiba System 4 offer. Went to MS GC. Got the same offer as you.
  15. I am still sourcing for an air con. We are looking for a system 4 as there are chances that we need to host friends at our place. A lot of ideas were given to us. System 3 + 1, brands and etc. Frankly speaking, I am still at a loss. I realised that most air con salesman will recommend Mitsubishi Electric (aka. Two Guns Advertisement), the cost will be higher but it is made in the land of smile (Thailand). Yesterday, when I was at Marina Square for the energy efficient fair. The GC salesman actually recommend Toshiba instead. The compressor is made in Japan and cost slightly less than ME. My wife and I are quite convince with his presentation and decided to go with Toshiba instead. We will probably go for reputable company as their warranty, after sales service will be much better. Anyone has any comment on GC? Regards
  16. I also never go for any tour before signing up with Jason!!! Tell me where got open house, we go down together...
  17. Hi Hi... I see your renovation is finishing soon. You must be very excited!!! I remember that this is the first blog that I read about Jason!!!
  18. No problem!!! Glad to see so much activities in my blog. No much time to post due to work committment and concluding on air con and etc. I have not much experience or patience in getting lowest prices. But then I realise that I am always losing out from others. My friend (who is getting marry around the same time) is always got the same things cheaper than me. I realise then that the negotiation has to come from the buyer. From then, I tell myself to be thick skin and ask for lower prices than what I assume the thing will cost (of course, have to do homework first). Then slower, if the seller is interested to close the deal, we can then come to a conclusion. In a nut shell, keep asking... Jia You!!!
  19. Well spoken! Personally, I think there is always a limit to how much a person can multi-task. I have also engaged Jason as my renovator. My wife and I are pretty anxious as we are getting marry in November and we will really hope that we can complete everything by Oct. So far, the schedule is still on time. Hopefully, it will progress accordingly to what we expects.
  20. I went down to Best Denki at Bishan to look at the Panasonic Washing Machine. The salesman told us that Panasonic has used Bosch drum technology to manufacture this model. But my wife is having second thought as the salesman claimed that it is better to get a 8kg washing machine if we are going to wash king size bedsheet. Have anyone heard of such matter before?
  21. You are most correct coffee_o. We should gather all Jason's client and do a mass purchase. Maybe can get extra discount from Ms. Kee.
  22. Hi I am also looking at this Panasonic Washer. Still can't make up my mind too. I am comparing this brand with Bosch. You can take a look at the bosch specification here. http://www.bosch-home.com/my/bosch/product...41ME,WAS24441ME A close relative is currently using this washer and she has no regret on her purchase despite the higher cost.
