the base is only the casing box....which is already inside ur wall....soo changing the face-plate only...of cos all wiring is on the face-plate itself...u can diy n change it urself (like what my hubby doing lol...hahahaha...but of cos like ossify commented: slanted....hahahahaa) or u get prof to change for u lol.... i got 37plates to change all includsive of power point (2-gang, 1-gang), light (2-gang, 1-gang), scv, tel, heater but i dun hv the air-con insulator worrr....so i don't know that will cost how much... for kitchen....u might hv one or two of those power point that u need to buy with the base case lol....but it wun be ex...additional 80cents for the base case nia~~~

hihi annjoy... i oso spend ard $150-$160 for whole hse switches....MK and Clipsal...MK is for those light switches...(they call it designer switch) and Clipsal for normal power point and water heater...check out SGBUZZ t-blog, i just post photos of my switches there....

sorry for late reply, ninja!!! my total costing for whole hse is $160+.....for those power point face-plate, i got Clipsal....for those light switches face-plate, i got MK....Legrand abit ex (thou cheaper if compare to outside retail shop)....as for my heater, i got Clipsal which cost $7...if not wrong....need to check my invoice...let me take some photos when i m home tonight....and show u....hope still in time before u purchase ur switches....

u wan to try Autosol? it's a cream type....it will not totally remove the scatches but will lighten it...sooo the scratch not sooo obvious....it did that for my solid top....i oso use to clean my basin...taps...any hardware shop got sell....ard $4...

Wowww....ossify, u beri 'kang hu' leh....i always tink of the simplest n fastest way...hhahahahahaha.....one of my cabinet door...got this two fifty cents big white round stickers on top n bottom part of the door....(similar to those u stick on ur furniture to ensure smooth moving, those type, just that these r slimmer...i guess this is what Cat meant by 'stickers'...) i asked ID what is that....he oso dunnu noe....i guess it's the carpenter 'master-piece' again....haiz~~~i really got no breadth to go after him and that's y i told ID, i Never wan the same carpenter to come back to rectify my defects...i dunnu he will create more defects anot....better play safe than be sorry.... i will try get the spray n touch up the 'lobang' lol..... @.@ ur string curtain soooo ex ahhh....two wk ago, when i went to attend a wedding dinner @ this 双喜楼...it's in thos katong shopping complex....inside got some wholesaler....esp those curtain shops....i walked passed them n saw they got these string curtain in box leh...no chance to stop by n asked how much....will go back one day to check out the price....if really that ex oso...i will give up the idea with this string curtain lol.... i rem i saw Lim's Art got sell oso...but now no more....regretted did not buy that time...not ex tho...

if u got the specific type of switch that u wan....can call up n ask what is the price....avoid morning n after lunch time...they might be busy settling the delivery stuffs....quite busy...call after 10am or after 2pm should be ok bahh....
