  1. Is it necessary to use an isolator switch for aircon? My electrician uses the normal 3-pins socket, but the pins are rounded one.
  2. No.. I dun think i am going to take it out. My electrician bought it then tell me. It has the usual TV and FM points in a pair. like what is given by defaul SCV installaion. But i dunno what the FM point is for, because without connecting to the FM point, i still can get signal for my radio? Eubiq expensive leh, so i didnt go for it. But since you wanted mobility in kitchen, eubiq is good, u have a whole stretch of power point. I thought i should have use Eubiq for my Tv console area.
  3. The surge protector has both scv socket and surge protection feature all in a box? Is that what you mean?
  4. Eh sorry i just realise there is a typo mistale. What is an L-trim (Not T)? How different is it from a normal skirting? Thanks!
  5. I had the same SCV socket (with booster) for my bedrooms also they are the 2nd and 3rd points.... well... he bought it.. so i use it lo, hope it really helps... but on second thoughts i dn have tv in my bedrooms leh... I think the painting guys remove the cover for the aircon... tmr i ill go back and wrap it back.. but dun think i am tall enuff... will try.... 4 powerpoints. 1 for tv, 1 for dvd player. 1 for modem, 1 for router. So 4 lot.... should i take out 1 pair? I think my electrician will kill me... :-p
  6. By the way what is a T-trim for laminated flooring?
  7. Thanks, i take note, cos my mum check it out at the shop, not me... she said $28, but dunno how many hooks...
  8. Ah... something new...but 'staining' my new aircon with plaster... um... a minor concern for me is that the gap will trap dust but i can't clean it cos the gap is so small....
  9. I forgot to pay a lot of my bills also during this period of reno. Late payment and such for credit card bills etc... call them, give reason and got them waived. Your $300 fine... did they waive it? Maybe they give chance....
  10. Went Jalan Besar and Balestier today to buy lightings and stuffs. Bought my lightings at 2 places: lightings.com and 168 Trading. Total damage $591.86. Bought Baron sink and Nobel sink tap and Turbo Hob from Royal Fanco. Total damage $510. Also donated $30 to government because kanna parking summon at Jalan Besar. :-S Tomorrow going to Ikea to buy sofa and possibly a bookshelf also.... need to see if it can fit into my room...
  11. If i use the tv console to cover them, i need to shift it further away from the wall cos the thickness of the socket. The my usable width for the living will be even narrower. But i think no choice liao... I have an old TV console, a very simple one, intend to spray over it with the colour i want, do some DIY. Save some money. :-)
  12. Handover ah? Suppose to be yesterday.... :-S My baseline is end of the month, i have to move in for sure... Tomorrow meeting Contractor to sort out the kitchen cabinet design. Then it will be in....
  13. Your cabinet look very juicy to me What is the width of one door for your bottom cabinet? It looks smaller than normal width (450mm). Or is it because the picture is resized?
  14. Master bedroom aircon - Panasonic System 2. A bit slanted... Guest Bedroom aircon, also slanted, but the aircon man came today and they use the 平水尺 to show me that the aircon is straight, so the aircon looked slanted because the beam is slanted, not the aircon. And if i tilt the aircon, it may affect the water flow... and they will not be responsible if there is leakage or other problem... Master toilet basin and Baron WC. Dunno why they did not paint the pipe. Hager switch My whole chunk of power points, data point, SCV and Tel point at TV area... regret putting them altogether. Looks ugly. My electrician told me the SCV points that he bought for me has a booster inside which is necessary. Those normal SCV point does not have a booster inside and signal may be weak because we are distributing the incoming SCV signal to a few points in the house. Anyone can comment on this? True?
  15. Pictures time.... House painted and the guys have started work on the partition. But still done halfway. They painted my green pipe to white, now the kitchen look so much nicer! My paints... The gypsum boards for the partition wall... Basin for kitchen toilet, Baron basin and Rubine tap. The baron WC not installed yet as they delivered wrongly.
  16. Thanks for the link! Mine is btw March and May this year.. :-)
  17. Think can plan the access point location according to your broadband need first. Tv now still on SCV cable. Hard to plan for everything at one go. Unless your Tv and broadband devices are around same place then will be easier...
  18. Hi Ossify, The shop that i went to quoted $28 for the laundry hook. Is this price reasonable? How much did you got it for?
  19. I will ask them to make good the damage, then see what they proposed. But it is best that the tiler and plumber are all from your Contractor under the same contract so they do everything nice nice for you...
  20. Good. I feedback to them abt my aircon slanted and they say it could be that my beam is slanted, not the aircon, so they will schedule the technician to go down on saturday to see again.
  21. Yup, this is what i am refering to. Personally i still like the old school wooden pole, dun like the aluminium....i will go check out the shop, thanks!
  22. Bro, what is L-trim? does it cost more? I am doing my flooring next week....
  23. Yup, i think the first free 15m can pull all the way to the place you want the access point to be (usually is tv point) for most HDB flat. Unless yours is bungalow or wat...
  24. How you all check whether your block installation for opennet is when? My ceiling also all closed liao......
