  1. Then how the plumbers drill holes when doing those water pipings?
  2. Thanks for the link. I need to go measure again. In case my Contractor made a mistake... :-S
  3. Err... 2.4m requirement is quite high leh...... i think i will fail this requirement....
  4. I am only 1.7m. The situation here is that i extend the living room into the kitchen. The extension area (into the kitchen) will be my dining area, and thus the ceiling for my dining area is the original kitchen ceiling. Then i overlay my living and dining room flooring. And i put false ceiling for my dining area to accomodate the PLC lights). So with a raised flooring height (due to overlay) and lower ceiling (due to false ceiling), now i tiptoe raise my hand can almost touch the ceilings already. I hope i am not too confusing over here... :-S
  5. I nearly wanted a pearl white and light green cabinet. But my Contractor opinion is that the green colour looks sicklish (But i feel that white and green gives a fresh feeling). So end up i choose beigh and light plum colour for bottom portion. Hope it turns out well.
  6. When i tip-toe, i can touch the ceiling already. It is that low. Does the PLC downlight generates heat? Cos i work at the dining table and if the ceiling is so low and i feel the heat, not so nice. Looking for alternative solution....
  7. I thought tilers only good at cutting tiles. They can cut decen tstraight lines without using a pencil/ruler to draw the line first.
  8. My eletrical wiring installation is in progress now. I suddenly realised that for dining area, after creating the false ceiling which is 4 inch down from the existing ceiling, the ceiling become so low! I can almost touch the ceilng when i raise my hand. This is partly because i do overlay for living room floor also. I am thinking not doing the false ceiling to accomodate the downlights already. I may just use wall lights. Are wall lights bright enuff? I never had experience using wall lights before. Comment... anyone?
  9. I go for those conventional type, tap mount on basin... Hoe Kee has taps which has high arm and the water direction is more slanted hence 'shooting' away from the basin wall..
  10. That is even more expensive! Cos they using their life to protect your gold, especially now... when gold prices are good...
  11. I think if gold tap hor, delivery must extra charge. Hahaa.
  12. Yup agree... especially if u buy basin and taps at different places. Then u need to gauge the water flow, is it too near to the basin wall a not. If yes, u probably can only wash your fingers only, not yr hand. ... tap very impt.... choose carefully....
  13. Thanks bro. I have bought all things except for kitchen hob, sink and tap. Bills choking up, hope these are the last of few items need to be purchased.
  14. I am looking for a single bowl sink, got to be big and deep enuff, What is the brand that you bought? Blanco, Rubine?
  15. Ya, the ceiling light that i want cost only $95 at lighting.com.sg. Jurong East quoted me $195. Wa lao... Btw i gave up on the idea of cove light. I spend my money on a nicer hanging light instead. Can bring along with me next time i move houe. By the way, does lighting.com.sg people install the lights on the same day of delivery? Can i get them to deliver first and then ask them to come in another day to install the lights?
  16. ** deleted due to duplicated posting **
  17. I am quoted (by one of the shop in Jurong East) - 1 set of downlight with 2x 13W OSRAM bulbs inside= $26. Light installation is $30 for first light, subsequent is $8 per light. 1. Can anyone give me a rought indication on the cost for a downlight? 2. Can anyone recommend any reliable brand for kitchen sink? Cos i intend to under-mount my kitchen sink, so it got to be reliable, if not next time change very difficult liao, got to lift up my whole solid top. Thanks.
  18. Updates.... for the past week or so... Bought the toilet fittings from 3 places: Summer, Hoe Kee and SSC. Bought aircon from Gain City (IMM) - System 2 - Panasonic. Confirmed Pergo flooring from Floor Option. Confirmed electrician for electrical work whole house. Starting work on Monday. Sourced lightings from Jurong East (along that stretch of Boon Lay way towards Jurong Point) - but have not confirm. Kitchen sink and tap have not buy yet. I am so tired the whole week. And i am starting new job on Monday. Today changed the toilet pipings. When they start hacking into my already done-up tiles, so heart pain ... But the workers are pretty good, they try their best not to hack too big a hole and later patch up their hole as best as they could. But still one of the hole is too big because the old pipe and new pipe location got shift - that is in the master toilet. Dunno how much is the rectification work, let my contractor go assess the condition... :-S No bring camera, so no pics... Tired....
  19. I walked in to How Kee today, the stock arrived! Bought the tap immediately. But the 2-way tap still no stock, so i pop over to SSC and choose one from there..
  20. I should have walked round more just now as i was there... i go again tomorow check it out :-) Thanks !
  21. Thank Goobii for the info. I bought Maxcoil liao... The service at Dunlopillo at TradeHub 21 sucks and the boss is an arrogant fellow. So end up i buy Maxcoil. :-p
  22. Hi Lord Vader, I bought my tap from Hoe Kee-IMM already... Those hot selling models all no stock....
  23. Kudos to you. Dun think it will exceed 15k mark....

Common toilet basin (corner mount) tap can't find! The nicely-fit size all out of stock! Anyone can tell me where is WEST area i go source for more basin taps and kitchen sinks?
