  1. soundbar seems most common. or just put a piece of laminate there
  2. http://www.greatdeals.com.sg/2009/10/harve...expo-sale-2009/
  3. You got the 30cm domino induction hob? How much was it?
  4. i don't see any extra toilet at the extension part. there's only an extra utility room. is that floorplan accurate? edit: oops, got confused. I was commenting on TS's floorplan.
  5. You can add decals to the 7m wall behind the sofa. from 1m to hair level. Above hair level, you can have a shelving display, with plants too. Get decals that links the whole area if you like a continuous flow. Otherwise blend 2 different decals in to mark different living zones. You can put wall cabinets above the TV to fill up the wall space without drawing attention away
  6. Yes I already included in my budget rewiring of whole flat. I will be doing massive hacking too. Well, I am sure you have considered her viewpoints and agreed that they are valid. Personally, I like the safety, convenience, and efficiency
  7. Personally, I rather not have the extra utility room as you lose light and wind from the kitchen window that is replaced by a door. So the kitchen tends to become darker without artificial lighting. But new toilet is good, don't have to spend too much to redo
  8. it's all paper money sell low buy low sell high buy high worse case is no house to sell, but have to buy high
  9. everything in 30k is quite cheap mine is expected to cost 35k. we shall see how much it will be in the end yes, your microwave occupied a lot of tabletop space.. since your kitchen is for show only, why not have induction? no gas at all means you can have built in oven
  10. did you see the reviews of ch*w interior on renotalk? i'm kinda surprised they took your job. thought they only do highend jobs.. it might be a bit late now, but usually it's good to go to multiple contractors, see which ones are responsive and provide reasonable prices and workmanship. hope you got a receipt for the 10k. and that's an ID, not a contractor (contractor has less flashy stuff and usually charges less)
  11. The kitchen looks quite big on the floor plan 3m x 2m. but the picture only looks like 1.5m (30cm cabinet+90cm hood+30cm cabinet) instead of 3m. Including the corner 60cm, that's 2.1m. what happened to the other 90cm
  12. Oh ok my kitchen has about 3ft for food prep, mine is parallel shaped.
  13. you paid so high for a corridor flat. so, any plans for your new home? can use floorplanner.com to design yourself can see my t-blog if interested
  14. your hubby squeeze with you to do hair and makeup? so vain i like the kitchen, but i want to check with you if you have enough space for food prep. your bottom kitchen cabinet looks like 10ft only? I planned for 13ft bottom and I already think it's too cramped already
  15. Do you have a well under your floor?
  16. Just put it in front of your bed Hotels do that too. But if you room is small and the space between your bed and the tv is narrow, you should reconsider for practical reasons Remember that hotels are usually bigger.
  17. in a sense that's true. Robina is paying Pergo money to use Pergo's licensed click system only. but I have to agree that Robina is pretty good value for money, pay in RM, get Euro standards. They use Germany machinery (old ones) and Pergo's click-lock method. I like the platinum teak wonder what's the cost difference. How do I contact them to install in Singapore? I don't mind waiting 2 months
  18. i put at the side. not too obvious, but convenient to see. but mine is a horizontal one, 5 in 1.
  19. please be careful. you need tempered glass for table tops. does this shop sell tempered glass?
  20. Mine are still strong after 10 years of usage One is a PAX wardrobe with sliding door, the other is a full pine bunk bed. What's your furniture? Just check the quality of the product before you buy it, test the quality at the showroom, before deciding whether to buy
  21. Go find out. Go to ikea and jump on them
  22. Wow, this is scary. I am glad I am going with induction cookers and Ikea furniture
  23. 6ft wardrobe for $1320? That's $220 pfr. If you want white PVC, might as well buy from Ikea $800 for L2100mm wardrobe.
