  2. Today they came late at about 1.20pm, rather disappointed. Discussed on trunking position for about 30min, rather pleased with end result. But sadly, they broke one of my tile, good thing it is not very obvious. Another tile was also slightly bent, although even less obvious. Reason why my tile broke was because they used concrete drill bit instead of tile drill bit. (will show pics in next post)

Have to workaround it.
  8. yes calculated by tilers. usually they count in terms of 30cm x 30cm (which is 1 sqft) which is the most common. so if you buy bigger tiles, you can easily convert. He wanted wastage of at least 5 tiles but I bought just enough. If not enough because he damaged them, I can buy more, but he has to pay I bought 9 different models of tiles so 9 x 5 x 2.5 = $112.5 (how much wastage would cost if i bought as requested, assuming each tile is $2.5) my most expensive tile cost $6 per piece. Yes, tile supplier can estimate grout and strips. But please bring pictures of the places you intend to tile for better advice.
  9. yeah ordered myself, but was expecting more than 5% discount number of tiles to be purchased is calculated by my tiler. pvc strip depends on the length of your tiles and the number of corners you want to protect. grout depends on the number of colours of tiles you are getting and the floor area it covers. it's stated on the bag of grout that for 30x30cm tiles, 0.3kg can cover 1 square metre. Each bag is 2.5kg (Hafary selling) so that's enough for 8 square metre. I bought 4 colours as my tiles are of varying colours. You can also ask the sales people to help you with the pvc strip and the grout. I am sure they will be able to recommend the number of strips/grout to buy.
  10. btw, tiling for my 3rm's kitchen floor, bathroom floor + wall and toilet floor + wall takes 5-6 days so your 4rm should take 2 weeks if you're doing all your floors

(called Hafary and they asked me to cut off the chipped parts if possible, if not can call the sales people.)
