  1. no matter how you seal, silicone doesn't last forever btw, just wondering how much you think is good granite and good solid surface?
  2. i don't intend to sell leh super light dust is alright, don't worry too much about it lol thanks sure, i'll do my best to help you.
  3. mm, i don't deep fry, eat healthy stir fry at most.
  4. btw, take a look at this link to compare between different worktops. http://www.natural-stone.com/granitevscorian.html but for granite, i won't recommend it because there are seams and when the silicon wears out within 1-2 years, water will seep into the bottom cabinet and cause waterlogged cabinets. solid surface is seamless, if you want to make it look like new, just get it re-polished for a small fee. no issues with waterlogged cabinets.
  5. hard earned money? to me, it's spending my present and future CPF funds. don't see how it's good for me nor my children unless i sell the flat dust does not stick to glass unless your glass is sticky. it happened long before i started my reno

  8. since I bought the place, I no longer care about the valuation. it means absolutely nothing to me (it only means something if you intend to sell) I don't really touch the glass much so there won't be fingerprints, unless you are referring to the metal ring? 15. Copper used to be cheaper, but since the price of copper went up, it's slightly more expensive now. Most plumbers would charge the same for stainless steel or for copper. They used to charge higher for stainless steel Copper is preferred by plumbers as it can be easily bent. My house is mostly stainless steel, except for the part that leads from the shower lever to the instant heater and from the shower lever to the water pipe. I don't paint it. It didn't rust but it did oxidise to dark brown colour But since it doesn't get into contact with water (I intend to box up with acrylic panels soon) it's alright.
  16. hmm, you are not levelling your flooring? then laminates will creak.
  17. nowadays, copper is actually slightly more expensive than stainless steel...
  18. looking at your flooring reminds me of my house before laminates were done up please ensure that your flooring is level, otherwise when the laminates are up, they'll creak
