thanks, my house is gonna be a white house generally, LCD has a soft screen while plasma has a hard screen so it's more child-proof LCD works better in daylight while plasma works better in night condition so if you like watching tv in dim conditions, plasma's better plasma's colour saturation is richer than lcd image sharpness depends on resolution. a hd-ready lcd and a hd-ready plasma are the same. anyway, i bought plasma for 3 reasons. 1. i rarely watch tv and if i do, it'll be at night 2. the colour looks better too 3. it's $599

You need to check if that location where you want to build the glass sliding door has a beam. Beam is about 40cm and normal floor to ceiling is about 2.5m so if you construct your glass door on a beam, it's about 10% cheaper.

Hi doremon, Yes this is my first time doing. I have been doing a lot of research on the things available and deciding the ones I like, before asking my spouse for her opinion on my choices. You definitely need electric wiring up before you do your air con. Otherwise you can't test your aircon Plastering should be done after your old aircon (if any) is taken down, before your new aircon is up, before painting. You need to plaster smooth, then the paint will be easier to put on. Flooring (if laminate) and carpentry should be done last (order depends on whether you build-in or not and want your floor below your carpentry) Basically, do the dirty ones first, clean things do last. Otherwise your clean things will be dirtied

They are better at removing the oil (>90%) in the fumes without the need to buy any forms of cartridges regularly. Get the NL900R model or the ariafina ones if you want to spend more for better material. Once you remove the oil, your kitchen will be easier to clean after cooking When I say ventilating hoods, I am not referring chimney hoods. Eg. the NL900R is a chimney hood but it's a recycling one. Ventilating hoods are hoods that uses a vent to blow out all your fumes out of the house. This is only allowed in landed properties and top floor units. Recycling hoods are hoods that sucks in the oil vapour, recycles inside the hood, before venting out into your kitchen. If your hood is not able to remove the oil vapour efficiently, you will basically have an oily kitchen after cooking When I first starting shopping for hoods, I just went around and compared specs, see which one has a higher suction rate. But then I realised that the oil removal efficiency is much more important. That's when i found Fujioh. It's rather pricey though, the NL900R, but I hope it'll be worth it Haven't buy so can't comment.

newnyew, what's the minimum bid for your chairs if you put on ebay for sale?
-
are you using the fujioh NL900-R? I wouldn't recommend the rest. as long as not you are not on the top floor, ventilating fumes out is not allowed.
-
erm, for hdb flats, if you're not living on top floor, you can't duct your fumes out. in that case, you might not want to focus on hoods that has high suction, but rather hoods that can remove oil and smell. take a look at ariafina or fujioh
-
will you be having a duct for the hood to export your fumes? if not, suction doesn't really matter. what matters would be the ability of your hood to remove oil and smell. @newnyew: if you're selling your pantons on ebay, what would you starting bid be? i just bought a leather sofa for $100 off ebay

How about this? Bigger kitchen = smaller living space You'll have to ask yourself if you really need the bigger space, and WIW. Remember to keep the WIW away from moisture, or you'll have a moldy WIW.

how about this?

I got it from Lena at Flooroption, 512 Sims Avenue, 6348 0078 Yeah. It's made in Malaysia with German technology. Can go to their website robinaflooring.com to take a look. They are the sole distributor for both Pergo and Robina. Pergo's family range and Robina is very similar in terms of specs. Ask for a laminate sample if you're interested to test it out. I tried scratching it very hard with the sharp corner of my cleaver and there were fine scratches, not detectable by touch, no split wood. If you do that with tiles, your tile would probably have deep scratches I tried soaking it overnight in a pail, no bloating. I think if it can withstand these 2 tests, daily use should be no problem

Fujioh hoods are more suited for HDB flats, unless you stay on top floor. Top floor can use ventilating hoods.

Yes I got the Eubiq at Comex 2009. It's customised so I can build-in into the TV console, wall, etc. Rewiring, if you need to do, you need to do. I am rewiring with Eubiq Standalone system, I find that it looks rather odd, unless you can put it beside your existing sockets.
