  1. the whole eubiq track itself is neither on or off. it is just a track. only the individual plugs can be turned on or off. some electricians can do it, but i bought mine direct from supplier and they provide foc installation since i spent $2000. i use it at my tv console, kitchen, study, and dining area.
  2. you mean CO-TOP Cresto? 90+ is expensive... i quote $70
  3. the eubiq is not connected to the switch on the right. they are separate entities. can have as many plugs as you can fit. to switch on plug, just rotate the plug. mounted onto wall by eubiq installer glass backing? think so, but check with eubiq.
  4. zoom in for you. it's a RJ45 socket. if i want to use lan cable, i can plug it in here. it's not a switch just turn the plugs for power on. notice that the plug lights up when it's on?
  5. i'm referring to the shower head, not the piping
  6. your painter never paint the pipes? looks so out of place good thing your bathtub can fit quite nicely
  7. waiting for you please respond by 23 July or I will have to spend it myself
  8. owner may have some difficulty taking a shower as the water doesn't reach far out enough
  9. welcome btw, here are the tile pics
  10. black granite is about the same price as solid surface.. unless you go for polyester (which i doubt you would) if your ID wants you to pay more, let me know, I can get it cheap direct from supplier
  11. More hacked areas and delivery of tiles and materials today
  12. it really depends on what you want. your arrangement works too well, i guess that's why this forum is great! you can get (usually) unbiased opinions of most ID/contractor. i guess that's why many ID/contractor also come to this forum to promote their services, whether directly or via an alias. but with careful reading, you can discern who are the real houseowners anyway, yesterday most of the stuff were hacked. as the floor tiles are in rather good condition, owner took the option of overlaying at a discount of $500.
  13. there's a reason why commercial uses stainless steel another thing, the bottle trap you're using, which will it look like? guess you're not the one cleaning it
  14. i would use stainless steel floortraps if i were you
  15. doing carpentry in JB is the cheapest, but rectifications will be difficult, to say the least. it's pointless to look for local carpenters and expect a cheaper rate than JB. but if the price is about the same, common sense tells you that the profit margin is bigger
  16. if you're getting me to be the contractor, this is how i coordinate. different ID/contractors coordinate differently i guess my aim is to prevent things such as the following from happening some things are preventable with just a bit of preemptive planning i always thought an ID would be able to recommend the plumbing/electrical/aircon routes. otherwise, why get ID? whatever you prefer bro
  17. client prefers system 2 inverter well, if your ID/contractor won't charge you for applying, then go ahead and try it thanks lilithfiend and ngunadi for the support following are some "before" pictures
  18. Lighting, water and aircon plans Nope, prefab can't hack.
  19. Hi all, Would like to share my second reno project, a 3rm at Tampines, hope to be able to share my journey with all readers Hacking started today, after some delay due to request for hacking of walls denied (reason: prefab walls) Projected deadline: 14 Aug 2010 Hope to handover by: 9 Aug 2010
  20. you gave a cheque before even getting a quotation?
  21. if i say you have expensive taste, will you be happier to pay more? but yeah, more drawers, more expensive. especially if you get soft closing. i guess that means i don't have to quote anymore
  22. oh... that means the initial quote of $1390 did not include the holes for the blowers and additional $80 was included to cut out the holes. ok i get it now. hmm i wonder how much is the contractor price for false ceiling and L box
  23. perhaps there was no instruction for the L box to cover the gas pipes so they did the default way. for aircon blower, you mean they saw the trunking there and did not cut a space out for the blower?
  24. Why do you have 1 box plus left over? I only ordered 1 extra box for you to finish up that top part on your wall. Unless you managed to dig out another box? Or are you referring to the balcony wall tiles? Mosaic block will be pretty heavy, about 5kg when completed? Might be a bit slippery for potted plants though.. deco is still alright. Can't think of any other use for it As for the spray paint: 1. tape up the parts you do not want to spray (eg. metal railing, floor, tiles) with a few layers of newspaper to cover up the surrounding 2. spray your primer thinly and evenly, let dry (about 30 min, check with sales person) 3. repeat another layer and let dry 4. spray granite/sandstone paint (colour of your choice) and let dry (about 30 min, check with sales person) 4. repeat and let dry 5. spray with clear matt acrylic spray or water-resistant protectant (about 30min, check with sales person) 6. repeat and let dry any point you think some parts are too "sharp", you can sandpaper away. but from step 5 onwards, do not sandpaper use the rough sandpaper, tell the sales person you are working with granite spraypaint.
