as long as you have anything capable to receive tv channels, you must pay tv license. even if you have no tv, but have tv tuner on your PC, also have to pay tv license. 1 tv license per home, regardless of how many tv. that's why you should buy 10 tvs so you pay less tv license per tv, put 1 in each room

doremon, what's your contractor's name/company name? -
welcome, and artfriend is definitely not the place to buy acrylic boards unless you only need a small piece or you're rich and yes my acrylic work is near the end, probably end Jan. Dama is very far away so I intend to consolidate all my requirements before going down to make all my purchases in one go. Of course, email them my requirements and arrange for appointment to save time

hi necrosis, can point me to the reviews on the rubber sealing? i tried to search, but turned up nothing. from what i can see, this item is sealed by magnetic gasket, not rubber seal.

all acrylic boards can be obtained from dama.com.sg any thickness, any dimension, any colour if you choose clear one, you can put decorative stickers behind, will look quite nice if you want a short board, you can just glue it to the back of your solid surface, assuming your solid surface has a flat back profile. don't forget to add clear silicone between solid surface and the acrylic board. don't need to tell the carpenter anything. groove is not a good idea because it can be annoying next time if you decide not to have the acrylic board anymore. if you want a long board, you can let it flow all the way to the ground. eg. your hob is 90cm high, your acrylic board can be 120cm high if you want 30cm protrusion. you decide how high it should be. long board, don't really need to glue, imho, just put there and add silicone. all my suggestions are DIY-able so you don't need to pay more. i will be having a lot of acrylic in my home, watch for it
-
should apply sealant, base coat, then 3 layers of your paint.
-
why not just put a piece of clear acrylic board in between your hob and washing machine? safe and cheap

4 person takes 1 day to paint 1 coat? wah, i'm worried about my painting. from what i heard, 1 worker takes 1 day to paint whole house, 3 layers. maybe they're more pro

er.. your ID is smoking you. 1 piece of gypsum board is very big, cut into 6 small pieces is not a problem. this can DIY with acrylic, unless you prefer to be carrot. liquid nail is very strong glue. Dama will help you cut to required size, they're very professional and can cut accurately. No need to ask contractor nail, just glue it yourself. Otherwise he charge you another $150 for nailing The 2ft x 2ft is just rough estimation, should be smaller than that. You should measure all 3 holes, front and back, with a measuring tape. that "wall" above your door cannot be concrete or hollow block!!! it's called a lintol, but lintols can only be installed on top of nearby concrete blocks. you can't just glue the lintol there... i suggest you don't build that thing... just use acrylic to cover and paint over if you want to DIY or use gypsum board to cover up. Yes please use board to cover, DIY it. don't be a carrot! i can't believe you're paying almost $900 for doing these small things. a) Of course the person doing L-box can do the covering... unless you're a carrot. b) not all IDs can design, but most can chop carrot. c) see b.
