  1. the exact address i give you later, but it should be near 44 holland drive, one of the shops. As for the L-trim, look at this: Other Transitions Pergo makes a very versatile piece of trim called end molding, which is an L-shaped piece that is useful for trimming around door thresholds, hearths, and even carpeted stair risers (Figure 10). Figure 10. Trim the transition between flooring and a sliding door threshold with end molding (top left). The vertical leg of the trim piece is embedded in a bead of silicone caulk in the gap between flooring and threshold; undercutting the side casings makes it possible to slip the molding beneath them, eliminating the need for complicated scribe cuts. End molding can also be used to trim the base of a carpeted riser (middle). If the gap between flooring and riser is sized correctly, the pressure from the carpeted riser will hold the trim piece firmly in place but still allow the floor to move (right). bro, can you update the T-joints pictures? your tiles look so bad in these pictures
  2. So you put 2 lights in each fan? 2 lights not bright meh? As for the remote, why not set all the remotes to the same (1) so that all the remotes can be used interchangeably? since they are infra red sensors, shouldn't have much signal confusion right? if i point at one and press, shouldn't switch on the other one right? I think my 586sqft includes 5% wastage. We shall see what the actual area is used, then maybe even cheaper for final price. If yours is damaged due to water infiltration, is it covered under warranty?
  3. white white ones, my house is all white
  4. from Goobii's contact, read his thread for contact
  5. it's a stain remover, not scratch remover.. some s/s sinks are easily scratched. i can't offer any advice. there are s/s sinks that are more scratch resistant than others though. chrome materials, use cif.
  6. hmm what makes you think it's hard to find matching colour? There are so many colours available. $80 per roll is standard price. if you like wallpapers, it's worth it Europa or Goodrich should have a wider range.
  7. welcome to RT! your sofa and your tv console seems too near for comfort
  8. hi JanG, i just got my switches at a better price than yours
  9. hi gantan, i just asked again. The laundry pole holder is actually $10 for the pair, not $22. the poles are $7.90 each. (i think poles are overpriced) haha, L-trim or T-trim is meant for different purpose L-trim is meant for the walls, to replace normal skirtings. it points down instead of up so it covers up the exposed part of the laminate, allowing you to put furniture all the way to the wall. the normal skirting prevents you from putting furniture all the way to the wall, but some people view it as a form of wall protection. not necessary, it's only $11.50+GST. i don't know how much 15A sockets cost, forgot to ask I rather not have plugs for my aircon, since it's a permanent fixture so i chose an isolator instead. it's weatherproof too my plumber told me he'll be running pipe in, maybe using copper pipes as they are more easier to bend. the concealed part was using copper as there were a lot of bends required
  10. do already take out also no point, since the wires are already run and terminated. but what i feel, is that the thrifty thing to do is to have a double socket, and add extension sockets on your own. extension sockets (6-12 sockets each) are cheaper than installing a double socket. i would do this if i were not having eubiq
  11. ask your workers to use the rounded PVC corner strip, available in many colours. this is very nice, but will waste a bit of useful floor space. i don't think it's possible to create light when there is no light.. unless you're God just get plenty of mirrors and lights in your house
  12. forgot to paint the ceiling behind the light pipe not painted i like the general concept, but felt that the red tap ruined it
  13. T-trim is placed between your laminate and another surface of equal height. for example, i will have T-trim between my MBR and my MBR shower, my kitchen and my living room. i didn't buy it, my mom did. at the hardware store opposite my block
  14. very nice reno only thing i don't like is aircon trunking
  15. bought storage seat from v.hive today at City Square, bought 2 for $333 after 10% discount, having it delivered the monday after my floor is done. also bought switches from Choo Chiang (prices shown before GST) Zencelo: 3gang $13.5, 2gang $9, 1gang $5.5, waterheater $20, doublesocket $12.8, singlesocket $8.5, scv $8.9 Clipsal WHD20 Isolator 20A for aircon $11.5 Total cost: $164.89 and a W/M tap for $9 from IMM's Asia Excel
  16. Day 33 Continued with DIY works, fixing of digital lock (Samsung SHS-1110 at $289 nett) Total cost for the day's work: $0 Hacking 50ft walls and clearing of debris: $1000 Accumulated cost for labour: $5500 (including clearing of debris) Accumulated cost for raw materials: $2340.21 Total reno bill as of now: $8840.21 Plumbing: $880 Electrical: $2000
  17. Day 32 Total cost for the day's work: $0 Hacking 50ft walls and clearing of debris: $1000 Accumulated cost for labour: $5500 (including clearing of debris) Accumulated cost for raw materials: $2340.21 Total reno bill as of now: $8840.21 Plumbing: $880 Electrical: $2000
  18. DIY painting Great way to bargain L-trim means your laminates don't have a skirting that goes up the floor, instead the skirting goes down into the floor to flush with the wall. Lena didn't show you examples of L-trim in the Flooroption gallery? She said it costs more, but absorbed. Personally, I don't like skirting as the skirting colour doesn't really match the laminate colour and also there are issues of not being able to flush furniture to wall due to skirting blocking thus leaving a gap where creepy crawlies accumulate. My mom told me it's $10 for a pair. Apparently she bought the alum poles at $7.9 each. (I was shocked at this price)
  19. have you considered covering up the gap between the trunking and the aircon with plaster? this way you won't notice the slantness.
  20. the wall tiles in your MBR on the left of your heater looks... badly placed the tap in your MBR also has exposed screws?
  21. i did it at less than half your cost around 1/3 oh btw, how's the roomba?
  22. top kitchen cabinets strength does not rely on wall tiles. as long as your bolts are strong, it's okay. otherwise may drop. suspended bottom kitchen cabinets are safe if your bolts are strong, otherwise may drop. those all the way to the floor even if drop, you won't notice but if kitchen flood, your cabinets gone case assuming there are no L corners, it's the total length. if there are L corners, most contractors/IDs will add 2 ft per corner due to the overlap. obviously, this is not fair, but they don't care
